MCU Wolverine Theory

had this insane thought last night about the MCU and where it’s headed… seeing as kevin feige has shown an interest in bringing wolverine into the mix, what if we see this happen through the events of armor wars? i can totally see the government seizing stark tech and, after the events of FATWS, trying to create a super soldier with that tech. we could get a super soldier with stark tech, who ends up becoming wolverine, with mechanized claws built from nanotech and maybe even vibranium, since black panther: wakanda forever is also on the horizon. i don’t know if there’s any relevant material like this in the comics to draw from, but it would totally fit the narrative. this wolverine variant could eventually cross paths with ironheart, who is getting her own series. plus, an ironheart vs. wolverine battle would be absolutely nutty. what do you guys think? submitted by /u/tjwillson [link] [comments]

Why are people so against recasting the Black Panther?

With the new Black Panther movie coming out this year, there's still very little to know of. The only thing I know of is that Marvel decided to not recast T'Challa, and are moving in that direction. Apparently it would be a sign of disrespect to Chadwick Boseman, and honestly it's disrespectful that they don't want to do anything with the character. I know of a lot of fans that are supporting the idea that T'Challa shouldn't be recasted, and should just move on with Shuri.. But why are we supporting this idea when there's still a lot of untold stories for T'Challa!? I have very low expectations for this movie when we finally get a trailer, because listening to some of the fans who support this idea is what's gonna ruin this movie. submitted by /u/Officer_Zack [link] [comments]

Dwayne Johnson as Hercules in the MCU

With Thor: Love and Thunder getting into other pantheons of gods, including Greek, it seems like Hercules might finally show up in the MCU. A lot of people have been saying that Dwayne Johnson would be a good actor to play him (probably since he's played Hercules before). I could see it for sure, but I'm not completely sold. Plus, if Johnson does show up in Thor 4, he'd inevitably steal the show, which might not be a good thing for the Thor character himself. I'm interested to see your thoughts. Would Johnson make a good MCU Hercules? Is there someone else you'd like to see? submitted by /u/Jiachobucci [link] [comments]

What could possibly be in one of the new shows/movies that’s keeping marvel from releasing a Thor trailer

I know it came out that there were reshoots happening, but reshoots have never kept marvel from releasing trailers. Is Tony's responsibility for Ultron actually public knowledge?

The only reference to Tony being responsible for Ultron comes either from the inner circle of the Avengers and their pals, or from Edward James Olmos on Agents of SHIELD, and that could well be a case of SHIELD being privy to information while others aren't. Otherwise, I don't think there is a reference to it anywhere, especially not in Civil War, where you'd think it'd come up. Sokovia is brought up in the same context as Project Insight or the Chitauri invasion, events where none of the Avengers created the problem. Neither Ross, Sharpe, nor even Zemo singled Tony out for creating the problem. submitted by /u/frankwalsingham [link] [comments]

Endgame Thanos

Honestly I would have loved to have seen how 2014 Thanos would have utilized the Infinity Gauntlet if he had enough time to use it. If a stone got taken out so he couldn't snap and kill everyone but he would still have a 5 stone Gauntlet, it would have been interesting seeing how he would have used the stones powers different to 2018 Thanos since Infinity War Thanos was holding back a lot compared to Endgame Thanos who was bloodlusted. It probably might have been a guaranteed loss if Thanos even had five stones to use because would have very op and he's out to kill at that point but I think it make for an interesting episode What If? and if it ends with Thanos winning in the end. submitted by /u/Match-Sea [link] [comments]

Unseen Events Referenced in the MCU

Theres a lot of different instances where there was a reference to an event that we didn’t see throughout the MCU. Theres the more widely know ones , like Thanos stealing the Power stone from Xandar. And then there are lesser ones that I’d still love to see, like Doctor Strange capturing Dr. Connors lizard. Moon Knight S01E01 Pre-Episode and Prediction Thread

Hello r/marvelstudios As many of you remember, back when Loki started we tested out a new Reddit feature that the admins gave us early access to: Prediction Tournaments ! Lots of you seemed to like that concept, but we couldn't continue it with What if...? due to that series' episodic nature. We wanted to bring it back for Hawkeye, but due personal responsibilities, a smaller activity on Reddit during the time the show was airing and the 2-month long Project Insight that was eating up all of our moderation time, I wasn't able to do it consistently. The format and set-up of Prediction Tournaments had also undergone some changes by the Reddit Team which I wasn't familiar with and that ended up making the Prediction Tournament of Hawkeye kind of disorganized and incosistent. With Moon Knight coming, we had some recent internal discussions about the Tournaments with the rest of the moderation team, and we came to the conclusion that the concept ended up being more

Looking for help with the Defenders line.

(Hope this is the right place for this, if not please direct me to a better sub. Thx) As the Defenders line has come to Disney+ I was wondering what parts of it are commonly accepted as better, and what parts I can skim. I’ve heard for example that JJ seasons 1 and 2 were better than 3, and that that show was the best of the group. If possible I’d like some more info tho. Are there any parts of it which tie into the larger Infinity-saga? I work a lot and there’s a lot of material to sift through. I’m also worried about what scenes may be too strong for those of us concerned with trigger warnings. Any and all information is appreciated. EDIT: Thanks to u/Bnandez for reminding me. How flawed do you want your heroes to be?

Proper characterization is achieved mainly through believable defects and flaws in a character’s psyche. How would you show a newcomer the MCU now that the multiverse has been introduced

Recently I’ve thought about showing my girlfriend the MCU. It’s a long process especially if you add in the Defenders, AOS, and Agent Carter shows. But either way I figured I’d just show her in release order. It makes the most sense so I made a list. When No Way Home came out that added 7 more movies to the list. 5 Spider-Man movies and the 2 Venom movies if you really wanted to. Not that bad, just watch those in release order as well and explain that they aren’t the same universe yet. But now the X-Men characters look to be introduced in MoM. I’m sure the MCU will have there own X-Men but that doesn’t change the fact that at least one, if not more of the Fox characters are going to be introduced into the MCU. But now that adds a plethora of new films to the list. It starts to make it very confusing when switching between universes. How would you show someone the MCU in a proper order of you were to include all those movies. My idea is still release order but I know that would seem ev

Isn't it funny Doctor Strange screws up the most?

He's supposed to be the sorcerer supreme but all he does is screw up. He used the time stone multiple times in the movie but on a much bigger scale against Dormammu. He may have been the reason Thanos came. If using the time stone to avoid A brings forth a much worse B, using it on Titan may have brought on something else, too. And in No Way Home, someone as smart as him shouldn't have started a spell for Peter without even discussing what they should do first. Sure, maybe he thought that Peter's aunt or friends didn't know. But it just feels very stupid of him. And you know what happened in that movie. It brought venom into the MCU. Maybe Knull is gonna come because of it. Edit: spelling submitted by /u/igotdooms [link] [comments]

It's quite a head-scratcher that Stark Industries never left anything for Peter

As the title goes I am sure I'm not the only that thought so. In NWH, Peter said he was still broke and it got me thinking. Tony kind of saw him as his kid and was devastated when he was blipped and Peter saw Tony as a somewhat of role model/father figure. It's just quite puzzling that Tony never left anything for Peter aside from the nanotech suit. Now I know you might say, "Well Tony wasn't sure if the time heist would work and maybe he never got around the idea plus a few minutes after bringing Peter back, he sacrificed himself and died" That would be understandable if Tony weren't the kind of person he is and I am quite sure Tony has already pondered the thought of dying in the battlefield. Even in FFH he left Edith to Peter so, why wasn't monetary support or inheritance part of it? So, yeah that's pretty much it and I would love to read your thoughts as to what could possibly be the reason Tony never left any money for Peter like maybe some

Stolen Stark Tech Theory

Hi all, I have a No Way Home/Armor Wars Theory. So in No Way Home, we see that Stark tech was stolen and the running gag/plot is that Happy is the one that stole it, which prompts Matt to tell Happy to get a good lawyer. Here's my theory, i don't think the stolen tech that is causing big issues at Stark industries was Happy, why would Happy ever need to steel Stark tech when he was so closed to the Stark family, for all we know Tony, or Pepper gave that to happy sometime ago, or even if Happy stole it, i don't think it would be such a big thing. What i do think is that the real thieves, maybe Hammer Industries are the ones responsible and that the Happy thing was a lucky coincidence, which would then lead to the events of Armor wars, where we see Rhodes trying to get back the stolen tech from Hammer. What you guys think? submitted by /u/Lobostech [link] [comments]

Idea for villain in Nova

It should be the collector. Benicio Del Toro will finally step into the role of a proper bad guy. The Collector finds rare thing for his collections. Nova would either the last or one of the last of his kind and his helmet having all of Xander’s knowledge would be rare as hell. The Collector wanting to Collect Nova would be perfect for a villain. Also he’s one of the masterminding types that will do stuff like hire other people to hunt Nova so we can have new bad guys and characters introduced regularly from this premise. submitted by /u/NitroCoop [link] [comments]

The street level crime/gang war storyline should be done on Marvel Team Up movies and not Spider-man's

There already characters that can stars those movies beside Spider-man (Daredevil, The Hawkeyes, Echo) The best way to use spider-man intensively without burning out Tom Holland without burning him out is to make spider-man a mostly masked character. It can be portayed by the stunt double and voiced over by Holland In this way the movies can be produced fastly enough to have both very personal Peter Parker college movies and a very high involvement in the street crime storylines. By the end of college we could have Peter being master of both worlds There is no need to make the street crime centered story in the same movie Peter has a personal crisis, manages to be on time for his girlfriend or reconnects with Ned and/or MJ submitted by /u/bythewayne [link] [comments]

Loose Theory on Dr Strange in MCU (no spoilers)

In NWH, Spiderman says “whoa, where’d you learn to do that?” in regards to some spell that Dr Strange cast. Dr Strange replies “many, many birthday parties” sarcastically. While I initially wrote that line off as him being a smart ass, the more I think about it the more I feel like he was being serious. Hear me out. What if Dr Strange used the time stone to “make up for lost time” and created some sort of time chamber to study magic? I know he has a photographic memory and all but it seems his skillsets ramped up drastically in NWH. submitted by /u/WurdaMouth [link] [comments]

Has the MCU grown too big to efficiently handle stand-alone plots?

Let me start off by saying this is an unpopular opinion. After finally watching NWH, I've come to the conclusion that, while being entertaining, is absolutely riddled with plot holes or extremely forced plot points. I don't really want to get into dissecting every little issue of this film. I'm more interested in wondering if the MCU has grown too big that now you have to start accounting for everyones whereabouts or lack of action in stand-alone stories (but aren't actually stand-alone). It's addressed more than once in films with Captain Marvel in Infinity War or even in this movie " Where is Fury?" "Oh he's off planet." With every new show and movie the MCU grows more crowded and more complex and that all the small plot holes start adding up to massive plot holes or forced dialog to excuse terrible written plot points. Is this just all leading up to an unavoidable shattering of the MCU into smaller hero-verse fragments? submitted by

Multiverse has been featured in two MCU shows and two MCU movies as of now. What do you think about this storyline and where it will go?

Image

[NWH] I don't get why they had May say the line when she did. The movie contradicts it imo.

"With great power there must also come great responsibility." So we all know Spider-Man's original origin. He makes the wrong choice and ignores the mugger, who ends up killing Uncle Ben. As a result, Peter learns that he must use his powers to help whenever he can, because terrible things can happen if he doesn't. But it's kinda backwards in NWH. Instead, Peter IS trying to use his powers to help, but then something terrible happens anyway. I feel like Aunt May dying as a result of Peter trying to do the right thing contradicts the message a bit. She should've said it when they were still at FEAST. Did Spider-man No Way Home Rewrite The Contintuinity of Previous Films

By curing Norman Osborn, wouldn't he have technically prevented his unstable mind from leading him to performing a series of actions that ultimately ended with him being impaled by his own glider, thus preventing Harry from wanting to seek revenge, and positioning himself to be killed by Venom via his hoverboard? Would Harry not having taken over Oscorp led to Norman not deciding to fund Otto's research, or causing him not to have an accident that led to the arms taking over his mind? And if he cured Electro, would Gwen not have died due to Harry not being able to use him for his revenge plans against the rest of Oscorp? It just seems that when all the villains from the previous series got transported to the Tom Holland Spider-man universe, that they all appeared at points before their demise, else how would they have been alive to begin with, thus allowing Spider-man to temporally, albeit unintentionally interfere with their timelines and rewrite them. submitted by /

Regarding Ms. Marvel's powers: Theories, Rumours and the Discussion of Comic Accuracy

Guys, I think Marvel Studios doesn't want to anger any of their fans, especially considering how much of a comic book fan Feige is himself. But they also likely want Kamala's powers to feel more similar to Carol and Monica's both for visual and symbolic unity and probably for Kamala to feel more like she's become her idol and not some random, generic hero . Kamala becoming a hero with powers similar to Carol's will put her in a position where she'll feel like the world is on her shoulders and she has to match Carol in every way, making for a good character arc. But fear not comic book fans, because in the trailers, it's obvious SHE IS STILL STRETCHY, but whenever her limbs are stretched, they also glow. So I think the bracelet is the Nega Band, the Kree artifact from the comics that lets you t ransform your mental energy to physical energy essentially granting the wearer's wishes . Just watched NWH again, in HD

And it still boggles my mind that this movie actually happened. Even with Infinity War and Endgame being as epic as they were, it was in the works for years and made sense and all the IPs were all under the same umbrella (save Spider-Man). But NWH just comes out of nowhere and brings together nearly 2 decades of Spider-Man history from various films and different universes come together so brilliantly. It almost felt like a passing of the torch from Tobey and Andrew’s Spider-Man to Tom’s. When the MCU began and knowing how greedily Sony clutches the Spider-Man IP, I never thought we’d get a Spider-Man in the MCU, let alone ALL the Spider-Men. Some of the reasons why I think it's might be an Iron Fist reboot series: - They have replaced Danny Rand with an Asian Iron Fist in the comics (for now) - There have been no rumors from reliable sources that Finn will return, as there has been with Charlie Cox, Vincent D'onofrio, Krysten Ritter, etc. - Finn as Iron Fist wasn't well received and the fight choreographer heavily implied in an interview from last year that Finn refused to train for the fight choreography in season 1. - When Kevin Feige was asked about Cretton directing a Xialing series, he responded, "I can't wait for people to discover what it really is that we are working on for Disney+ with Destin." So I doubt it's going to be a Xialing series considering what Feige said, he could be lying though, but he did sound like it's going to surprise fans. So I have a feeling it's going to be a reboot of Iron Fist with an Asian lead, or Heroes For Hire with rebooted versions of Iron F

The last 20 seconds of all MCU trilogy endings.... One thing I noticed is all are kind of bitter-sweet.

When do we reckon the Thor trailer will drop?

I’m too hyped for this, Ragnarok is my second favourite MCU movie (After Endgame). Surely it won’t be too much longer since it’s less than 4 months away, assuming it doesn’t get delayed. submitted by /u/uselesspointofview [link] [comments]

Doc Oct in No way home

So I was watching No Way Home and thought about something. Doc Oct supposedly cannot control his tentacles bc that chip on head was destroyed causing the reverse action where the tentacles controlled him. So in no way home, when the nano tech took control of the tentacles, why was doc Oct still insane at that point? The control over the tentacles should have silence them over Doc Oct, even though Doc cannot control them, they should have been silenced and doc should have been normal. submitted by /u/KaiSimple [link] [comments]

does punisher series follow on from the film?

I have started to watch punisher today. It looks good and I hear good things of it, but it seems to start with him having already done something and known to the police as punisher. Does it follow a movie? Or does it go into more detail further in? submitted by /u/t3rm3y [link] [comments]

Why is Ms. Marvel being nitpicked so much by fans on Twitter?

Either my Twitter timeline is broken or the Ms. Marvel Disney+ show has gotten mainly negative critiques over just one trailer. I feel that the critiques from Muslims are valid if they don’t think they are being represented well. I have no say in that matter. I’m talking about all the other nitpicking from fans about her powers, such as the following: • “Green Lantern powers? Instead of her classic embiggening and stretching? No one asked for this change, and it's sure to confuse kids who've seen her in other mediums...” I guess I never realized the Ms. Marvel character was this popular. But either way, I’m still excited for this show. It looks fun and I’m ready to get the MCU 2022 train rolling! submitted by /u/robjimz [link] [comments]

Do you see it? The beauty of it? The inevitability? You rise..only to fall. You Avengers, you are my meteor, my swift and terrible sword and the earth will crack...with the weight of your failure. Who the hell is XXXXXX?

Am I the only one who's lost on this? They've been apparently completely accepted by everyone despite there being no previous introduction or sign of her in previous MCU content. Im talking about America Chavez. She is just... in the trailer, no explanation but decent screen time. She also seems much less powerful, especially next to doctor strange. Why is she there? She can make her fists grow large and make star portals? Cant ms marvel now make her fists larger? I just dont... how is nobody confused on who she is? Edit: Thanks for all the disrespect while im confused about a character who is being treated as one well known in the MCU despite never having seen them before and wondering if I missed any key details. Drax mastered invisibility for an hour. The zarg but is what ruined him.

*nut not but Star Lord was talking about his junk and the blow up his junk grenades. Gamora walked in and kissed him. In this whole time drax was already hidden. It's a skill in the MCU that should be used more submitted by /u/swanks12 [link] [comments]

If they had kept in the Soul World scene with Tony in Endgame, who do you think Tony would’ve seen?

After rewatching Endgame, I got reminded of the deleted scene with Tony and Morgan in the soul world, with her being older, and while it made sense to cut it since an older Morgan wouldn’t make sense, I think there was still a good idea to be used there. Personally, I think if they still had the scene, it would make sense to have Yinsen reappear, smiling to greet him to the afterlife, asking Tony if he ‘made it all count’ as Tony could think about everything that had led him from that cave to this battle, and holds his head up high with a nod. There could be better ideas, this is just what I liked best. What do you guys think? submitted by /u/CopyCat47 [link] [comments]

The German in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is awful

I know German. The German in tfatws is absolutely awful. I'm talking about people who are supposed to be from Germany, not non-Germans trying to speak German. I mean come on, they could've made at least some effort to teach them proper pronunciation or, better yet, just hired actual German actors. It's just lazy and makes it less enjoyable to watch. submitted by /u/uhasanlabash [link] [comments]

What's the most absurd Marvel theory you've ever heard?

One of the most entertaining ways to assess the gap between Marvel movies seems to be to theorize about movies. Some of these theories are incredibly ridiculous and funny, while others are quite logical. I figured, Why MCU is still relevant after 14 years!! (Probably)

I was watching this video of a very popular philosophy channel Wisecrack on youtube where they explained the Key difference between DCEU and MCU and I instantly inferred something new! The MCU is capable making cash off the ideas and characters that they established decades ago is because of relevance. Their superheroes, supervillains and even the side characters are still relevant after so much time. But why is that? I believe the reason here is constant jump from one archetype to other. For example:- Tony started as an innocent in Iron man 1, becomes an orphan, a wonderer and a warrior in the same film. But by the second film, he suddenly becomes an altruist when he learns about his upcoming death, converts into a wonderer again when meets with fury and again a warrior by the end of the film. Later, in avengers 1 we see him as an innocent in the beggining (a rich genius with a powerful suit, wanting to do some philanthropy), altruist in the middle and finally a martyr in the e
