Just watched NWH again, in HD
And it still boggles my mind that this movie actually happened. Even with Infinity War and Endgame being as epic as they were, it was in the works for years and made sense and all the IPs were all under the same umbrella (save Spider-Man). But NWH just comes out of nowhere and brings together nearly 2 decades of Spider-Man history from various films and different universes come together so brilliantly. It almost felt like a passing of the torch from Tobey and Andrew’s Spider-Man to Tom’s. When the MCU began and knowing how greedily Sony clutches the Spider-Man IP, I never thought we’d get a Spider-Man in the MCU, let alone ALL the Spider-Men.
And how fucking great is Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin? It really exemplifies Weird Al’s point “Yes, he's wearin' that dumb Power Rangers mask, But he's scarier without it on”
