Moon Knight S01E01 Pre-Episode and Prediction Thread

Hello r/marvelstudios

As many of you remember, back when Loki started we tested out a new Reddit feature that the admins gave us early access to: Prediction Tournaments!

Lots of you seemed to like that concept, but we couldn't continue it with What if...? due to that series' episodic nature.

We wanted to bring it back for Hawkeye, but due personal responsibilities, a smaller activity on Reddit during the time the show was airing and the 2-month long Project Insight that was eating up all of our moderation time, I wasn't able to do it consistently.

The format and set-up of Prediction Tournaments had also undergone some changes by the Reddit Team which I wasn't familiar with and that ended up making the Prediction Tournament of Hawkeye kind of disorganized and incosistent.

With Moon Knight coming, we had some recent internal discussions about the Tournaments with the rest of the moderation team, and we came to the conclusion that the concept ended up being more troublesome for us than we had expected.

Our main problems are:

  1. Coming up with questions that are either generic enough that there will always be an answer (eg "How many arrows will be shot in the next episode of Hawkeye?") or trying to guess what's going to happen in the next episode to actually create more specific questions. Both take a lot of time and brainstorming and many times the questions were not answered in the next episode as we were expecting, which did create a bit of frustration to both us and the users.
  2. Coming up with questions that have more than 2 (yes/no) possible answers in order to limit the percentage of people who win each round and give people more options to have more fun thinking about it.
  3. Being consistent every week both with coming up with the questions and posting them on time for most people to have enough time to answer.

Knowing those problems, YOU GUYS can answer in THIS POLL whether you'd like to see the Prediction Tournaments continue.

In the meantime (and this is something we'll do independent of the Tournaments), we're bringing back

PRE-EPISODE AND PREDICTION THREADS.

If you were watching Agents of SHIELD during its original run, you'd probably remember those threads from r/shield.

In this thread you can discuss anything related to the show's upcoming episode, make predictions about what's going to happen and of course, SPOILERS FROM THE PREVIOUS EPISODES ARE FULLY ALLOWED!

That said, spoilers for the upcoming episode that have leaked are not permitted and neither are comments made after the episode's release, which is why this thread will be locked 30 minutes before the release of each new episode!

So now, I leave you with the official synopsis of the show and let's get into the discussion!

When Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life, he discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.

Jeremy Slater (The Umbrella Academy, Fan4astic Four) is the creator, head writer and executive producer of the series with Mohamed Diab and Justin Benson & Aaron Moorehead directing the episodes.

Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Grant Curtis, Brad Winderbaum, Oscar Isaac and Mohamed Diab are also executive producing.
