If the opposite people had been snapped, how do you envision things would have gone?

As the title says. We already know the story as it went in Infinity War/Endgame with the characters we know who have been snapped/blipped and those who stayed, and (apologies if it's already been posted before) I've always tried to imagine how things would have gone if the roles had reversed. Whether Thanos disappears or not depends on whether you believe he was a hypocrite excluding himself from the "half the universe" statement to stick around after snapping, or was fully willing to also vanish on his own afterwards. We're obviously never going to get a film exploring that (though if What If? ever does, it will be very interesting), so we can let theories run wild. So, Loki dead, Gamora dead, Vision dead, that's the constants, but the original 6, Ant-Man, Captain Marvel, Rocket, Nebula are gone, and (non-exhaustive list) Fury, Scarlet Witch, Falcon, Winter Soldier, Doctor Strange, most of the Guardians, Spidey, much of Ant-Man's group, etc. sticking a

What Marvel voice actor would you most like to see play a live action variant of their character?

Kang's Introduction

I know we have moved well beyond this but I just rewatched Quantumainia last night and it still bugs me how we're told how much of a threat Kang is instead of shown. With the way Kang is characterized as a liar, him saying he's killed avengers feels like an exaggeration at best. I was thinking about it and I thought up a super easy fix for it. Instead of having Kang just vaguely mention that he has fought avengers, show him with trophies. Take the scene where he gives Scott the job and put it in the room where he has his time chair. When Scott mentions that he's an avenger, have Kang show off his wall of trophies. Put things from heroes we've seen (like an iron man suit, caps shield, etc.) and some trophies from heroes we haven't (a ff suit, a metal skeleton, etc.). Kang can do his whole "have I killed you before bit" again but this time it will feel much more like a threat as opposed to bragging. submitted by /u/Garfunkle0707 [link] [comments]

What actors do you think could portray multiversal variants?

Here are some that I think could work: Jack Black as Wolverine Ben Stiller as Scott Lang/Ant-Man Nathan Fillion as Hank Pym/Ant-Man Zooey Deschanel as Janet Van Dyne/The Wasp Alexis Denisof as Mister Fantastic Dave Franco as Human Torch Ray Romano as Bruce Banner Ryan Gosling as Clint Barton/Hawkeye Sir Ben Kingsley as The Mandarin (for real this time) Bruce Campbell as Mysterio John Malkovich as Vulture Timothy Olyphant as Doctor Strange submitted by /u/SharxSharxSharx [link] [comments]

Can they still give Dr Strange another movie at this point?

I think it’s clear the post Credit scene for MoM Is secret wars set up, then after that will Cumberbatch be sticking around all that long? The lack of a (good imo) arc in the second movie and cutting away his supporting cast has really hurt the flow of things. If the second movie had focused on arcs including Clea as a central character and Dr strange becoming sorcerer supreme, then built on that a little particular him and clea in the upcoming avengers movies then you have an amazing trilogy ender. Peak Dr strange as sorcerer supreme with his wife by his side, perhaps with friends such as brother voodoo as well, taking on shuma, or the return of Dormammu with Umar this time as well etc. But now by the time you give him the arcs required to give us this movie it’s too late unless you fast track back to back sequels. So what’s the point of giving us another movie when the development goes nowhere? Would be like if Spider-Man could only do one more movie after 2. But that second m

If they were to introduce The Orb into the MCU, who would you want to play him?

Image
Me personally, Seth Macfarlane. It would have to be a decent voice actor for obvious reasons, also probably a comedian too since the character does look so ridiculous. Also I just think Seth is a good actor when given good material, case and point Sing or Family Guy whenever Brian has any emotional moments. So who do you think could play such a wacky yet wonderful character? submitted by /u/SkekJay [link] [comments]

Challenge: Pitch your own storyline for a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 4?

Question is in the title. If Guardians of the Galaxy got a fourth film, what kind of story would you want to see? (assuming all the characters are available to return). What villains would you want to see? Would you keep Rocket as team leader, or bring Quill back? Would you want the High Evolutionary to return? Would you want another team up with Thor? Would you have tie in to the Kang storyline in some way? I’m curious to see what everybody comes up with. submitted by /u/BlackCanaryForever [link] [comments]

How I think the Xmen should be introduced to the MCU

I've been thinking a lot about the xmen and how to introduce an entire race of people that have had 0 reference and justify their existence. What if they just make an xmen movie the way they did last time. Do literally whatever they want with the story and characters (as long as it doesnt suck). Have it reference nothing in the mcu, and have it reveal at the very end that the entire film took place in a completely seperate universe. In the final moments, there is something that completely destroys said universe (an incursion? We are in the "multiverse saga" after all and the idea of this has been introduced) and a number of mutants are saved and transported to the mcu main universe. Now they are refugees and have nowhere to go so this is now their permanent home. Then the 2nd film would take place in the main universe and them being refugees would create an interesting social commentary staying in theme with the racial aspects that is every xmen movie while still making

Who would be your ideal roster for the MCU’s first X-Men movie?

We are obviously still at least 4 or 5 years away from getting an MCU X-Men movie (though the variants from the Fox movies will probably appear in Secret Wars) When we do finally get the MCU’s official X-Men movie, who would you like to see as the starting members? Obviously Xavier will be there as the leader, but who should make up the rest of the team? I think the first thing should be to leave Wolverine out. The biggest problem with the Fox movies is that they always made him the main character, causing the rest of the X-Men to be overshadowed and underdeveloped. The movies felt more like “Wolverine and Friends” than X-Men. They should wait until the second or even third movie before bringing him onto the team to give everyone else a chance to shine first. So who would be your ideal team? I think Cyclops and Jean Grey are as much of a guarantee as Professor X, but who else would you include? submitted by /u/Antman269 [link] [comments]

GOTG v3: Gamora and Peter

I just finished watching GOTG3 and I had some confusion with gamora and peters relationship. Yes we know that this gamora that returned isn’t peter’s gamora, but she does essentially have the same personality? Why couldn’t she fall in love with Peter again? Like what changed besides starting over? I do have two theories: 1. Peter doesn’t want to start over again and is just hoping that THIS gamora should simply fall in love with him, or 2. Old gamora didn’t originally meet Peter in 2014 so her personality and mind wasn’t developed to the point where she would have fallen in love with him (I can’t remember when they originally met) What do y’all think? submitted by /u/Curious-Alfalfa7902 [link] [comments]

What’s your least favorite MCU film?

I did a similar post to this a few weeks ago asking for everyone’s top 10 MCU films now that Guardians 3 has come out. Now I want to know: What is the MCU film at the BOTTOM of your list? Obviously I marked this with SPOILERS because I expect there to be discussion of any film from Iron Man to Guardians 3. So if you’ve not seen Guardians 3 yet, don’t read on. For me? Iron Man 2 is at the bottom of my 32 film rankings. I enjoy the film and I still think the MCU has never made a bad movie, but nothing about it improves when I rewatch it. I don’t even really feel the stakes with the “Tony’s dying” subplot. And don’t get me started on Ivan Vanko. submitted by /u/jcalebfaulkner [link] [comments]

Why revive your daughter and let yourself die instead of just dying and spending time with your whole family in the afterlife? Also isn't it kind of wierd that thor kind of adopts his enemies daughter? Prediction for the new Multiverse Saga slate

With everything going on behind the scenes at Marvel (i.e. the reshuffling and delaying of projects, focusing on quality over quantity) in combination with the ongoing writers’ strike, I decided to try and predict what the new release slate could look like, potentially what they’ll unveil at SDCC this year. Lemme know what y’all think and if it’s an accurate prediction. FYI: Some Disney Plus series I predict are gonna use the binge model rather than a weekly release like what they’re testing out with Echo. It makes sense to do so because some series have been described as “6 hour movies” and it frees up a lot of the schedule and doesn’t require weeks of investment. What If…? Season 2 (D+) - January 17th, 2024 Iron Heart (D+) - March 13th, 2024 Captain America: NWO - May 3rd, 2024 Agatha: Coven of Chaos (D+) - June/August 2024 Marvel Zombies (D+) - October 9th, 2024 Deadpool 3 - November 8th, 2024 Spider-Man: Freshman Year (D+) - December 18th, 2024 Wonder Man (D+) - March 19t

What’s everyone’s opinion on how Ned will play into Spider-Man’s future?

It’s kind of obvious they’ll never use him for a villain (knock on wood), but where do you see him linking up with Pete now that everyone has no recollection of Spider-Man? submitted by /u/SaltySpituner [link] [comments]

Idk if anyone else has been paying attention to Jacob Batalon’s (Ned) career, but I sincerely doubt he’s going to become a future pivotal player.

Before the downvotes put this post into some unseeable purgatory, hear me out. Jacob is not a good actor. None of his moments in any of the movies amount to anything substantial. He’s just a comedic relief character. Many people want him to become Pete’s villain, but I just think it’s impossible. Watch “Reginald the Vampire”. He’s the same exact character set in an alternate universe. Maybe the writing will give him something better to work with, but it amazes me that he’s still involved at all with the MCU after the spell. submitted by /u/SaltySpituner [link] [comments]

MCU discourse, fractured as it may be, is still quite good.

Despite the shitstorm that was the latter half of 2022 and the first half of 2023, Marvel discourse seems to be stabilizing and calming down. And it's not like it had gone to complete shit beforehand. People still expressed their praise of the movies and sometimes, SOMETIMES handled differing opinions and divergence of tastes with tact, respect and courtesy. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 seems to be a major force in balancing the discourse due to its widely renowed quality. Meanwhile, in the neighborhood... Yeah. DC's discourse may well be fucked. We have two sides throwing shit at each other, hurling asinine accusations at the leaders of the DC(E)U (Snyder is a fascist objectivist, Gunn is a creepy sexual predator), having zero respect for separate views and being all around dicks. And the Flash reviews wave this weeks only seems to be stirring up the storm. Of course, we have our own problems here. The fandom still seems to be conflicted about the chances of Avengers

What happened to the border tribes after Wakanda went public?

It’s explained in the first movie that the border tribes act as essentially decoy villages to throw the rest of the world off about the true nature of Wakandan prosperity. After they revealed themselves to the world, do you think the people of the border tribes all moved into the bigger, more advanced cities like Birnin Zana? At the very least they would no longer need to pretend to be third-world villages, but would some still prefer to live away from the cities? Would the border tribes now incorporate vibranium technology or might there be some holdouts that have gotten used to life without it? For that matter, did anyone live there permanently or was it all for show and they rotated out in shifts? Would love to see this explored in the upcoming Wakanda D+ series! Hopes and dreams for the mutant phase

I know this won't be for a few more years at least, but I do have hopes and dreams for how the MCU handles the characters once the mutant phase kicks into high gear. Let the kids and mutants enjoy their powers. It seems like something that was missing from the fox movies is just people enjoying their powers. I understand they're ostracized from society. Scared or not entirely in control of their powers. Yet I just want to see them have fun with their powers or use them for silly reasons. Cyclops setting up panels made of the same materials as his visor and doing trick shots with his eye beams. Car battery won't start? Storm strikes it with lightening. Professer X telepathically reaching out to ask someone to bring him some chips and soda so he can keep binging his favorite show. A show he won't allow the network to cancel even though it's on season 47. Interesting and new ways of them using their powers. Storm can only produce fog, lightning, and a strong bre

hot take; I don't think Disney should've decreased the pace of D+ shows

just simply hire good writers and make shows about interesting characters. for example show of wong a comedy action show of M'baku show of Okoye comedy show of Valkyrie leading new Asgard a show of Shang-Chi's sister after she took over her father's organization a high shool drama show of mutant kids at Charles Xavier's school a long list of mutants who can have their own standalone shows. etc. these are just some off the top of my head. obvuosy I'm not saying marvel should pump out 7 shows a year but like in 2021 if I remember correctly they did like 4 in that year and I think that was a good enough pace. plus with mutants and newer characters coming to light, there's gonna be a higher demand for movies/shows of these characters, so I don't think decreasing the pace of these shows are any good. EDIT- Also wanted to add, MCU's about to have serious competition w one of their best directors leaving and working on DC who already previewed an am

My SPOILER review of Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania

Hello y’all. I wanted to share my thoughts about my new favorite movie, Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. Now, just a warning, this post will be very long and will contain many SPOILERS for this movie. The post may also contain some mild spoilers for Loki, so read at your own risk. Ant-Man I really liked Scott’s characterization in this movie. I feel that it is consistent with his other appearances, and I feel like Paul Rudd did a great job of portraying the character (as always). I may be biased, however, as Paul Rudd and I do root for the same football team. Anyway, I specifically liked how they continued some parts of his character from previous movies, such as his obsession with Captain America and how he likes to eat citrus after he turns into Giant-Man. I also liked his book, “Look Out for the Little Guy”. I thought that was pretty funny. Cassie I thought that she was okay in this movie. She gave Scott some good motivation. More importantly, she gave MODOK motivation to be

Idea of how Baron Blood could introduced to the MCU

He could be a soldier from WW1 who was critically injured and losing a lot of blood. To survive, he was injected with the very first super soldier serum, that was made with artificial blood cells. This goes wrong and it turns him into a vampire. The doctors try to have him killed, but he kills them, then he then joins HYDRA. His original comic book backstory was him being bitten by Dracula when visiting Transylvania. He could make a cameo in New World Order and be one of the main antagonists for Blade. submitted by /u/bre34 [link] [comments]

Screw it, give me your ideas for a Spider-Man 4 plot.

Alright, so 5-7 year time gap. Both to better match the actors age and because we've already seen enough of Peter in school. Seeing him as a young adult either graduating or early in his career would be refreshing. I'm thinking a "spiritual remake" of Honecoming. Like, you're stepping into a pre established world again. However, instead of strictly gadgets that's the wow factor, it's Peter's new skills and experience. I hope they come up with a new CG system for better action scenes. Like, the AI in it doesn't need a green screen for compositing and can better match live action and CG. Tangent aside, Peter would have already faced his own variants of some Tobey and Andrew villains. Like, I can't imagine them giving Green Goblin ANOTHER movie based around him, so why not say he's there and be done with it. He still has potential, though. Same with Doc Ock. Anywho, Vulture and Tinkerer should be main villains again, but this time in cahoots

Write a ten second or under scene for any MCU movie that exponentially makes a movie or character better for it.

I think having Drax landing at least one punch on Thanos in Endgame would have been a great tweak that would have made his ending more complete overall. submitted by /u/aaronk287 [link] [comments]

Michael Waldron did a better job than Jeff Loveness at introducing the new phase villain.

I think Michael Waldron and Eric Martin did a great job writing the character of He Who Remains. Especially with his performance in Loki, Jonathan Majors destroyed my expectations. Its confusing dialogues and the not-so-human nature of its "other" variants in parallel universes laid the foundation for a brand new story of destruction. I think that was very cool. Especially for villains, a full backstory and a well-directed motivation are the secrets to success. Unfortunately, Kang doesn't have any of these. His backstory is rather murky, his powers are unclear, and his motivation is problematic. It is not clear on what basis and with what force Kang established a huge empire in the quantum universe. It's not very reliable that this movie writer is also writing the next Avengers movie. submitted by /u/Muted_Resolve_6251 [link] [comments]

I hope Spider-Man 4 starts with a montage...

Like, it show that in the time between this and NWH, he's been fighting villans (like his own Electro), making suits and gadgets, and getting stronger. Perfect way to do some world building. Also, I hope that it either turns out Mysterio faked his death, or has a successor. It would be so cool to see Mysterio get skilled in the mystic arts, seems in-character for him. submitted by /u/Milk_Man21 [link] [comments]

if they make 3 more spider-man films for tom, how would you like it to be.

spiderman 4 - introduce agent venom as a vigilante who does dirtier work, he's the punisher to Tom's daredevil. Peter meets Gwen Stacy and they date. Main antagonist will be kingpin and tom and agent venom set aside their differences to take out Kingpin. spiderman 5 - Introduce Miles as he gets his powers. Peter and Gwen's relationship hits a rough patch, they take a break. Antagonists are Mr. Negative andRhino as they plan to finish what KP started, introduce Black Cat for Peter to have a fling with while he's single. Miles and Peter take both down at the end. spiderman 6- I'd say after the events of Kang Dynasty, we introduce MORLUN who fights Peter to the death, idk if Peter dies but that's something cool to entertain. submitted by /u/we_are_ghetto [link] [comments]

They should have redesigned Sam Wilson's Captain America suit to include a helmet atleast

I find the costume to be really distracting to be honest. As much as I love comic accuracy ,but they should have redesigned his suit before and after he became Captain America to include a helmet. For a guy who flies around with no super human strength I seriously think it would have made more sense for him to wear a helmet to protect his head from small impact and gunfire. Even Joaguin Torress in the comics looked so much cooler with his badass helmet. submitted by /u/Poweredkingbear [link] [comments]

What are your favourite and least favourite MCU trilogies at this point?

No spoilers enclosed for GOTG3. All I'll say is I saw and I liked it. Not encouraging to discuss spoilers in this post but if you do, tag those spoilers! Just curious to know how people rank the various MCU trilogies (the Thor movies are a quadrilogy, but w/e) after seeing two of them rounded out this year. For me personally, I think the Guardians trilogy just might have jumped far and away to the top, at least for the moment. Prior to that the Cap trilogy dominated in my mind. Sadly, although there was a lot to like, the Antman trilogy is way at the other end for me. I love that character so it's a bummer, but at least there were movies made I guess. What do you all think? submitted by /u/Nscope90 [link] [comments]

Why does Nebula...

...have an american accent when her actress is british? Nebula obviously isn't american so it's a specific choice they made. We know from the High Evolutionary that these accents are somewhat a thing in-universe since he has a british one which Rocket mimics in his youth. submitted by /u/symbiedgehog [link] [comments]

Which other songs could have been GOTG songs?

I was driving the day after seeing GOTG 3 for the first time and 'Wig Wam Bam' by Sweet came on the radio and I could almost visualise the Guardians fighting along to this song. What other songs could have been a GOTG song but weren't? submitted by /u/Partyboob84 [link] [comments]

Making a Marvel Reddit Universe (MRU) - Day #2 "Details on the upcoming projects"

I want to do one of these every day, but I won't be able to "release" an entry daily. The next entry is scheduled for 18th of May, so today I will give some updates on it and I will also be revealing a project. Slate Phase ONE Captain America: Devil's Right Hand (15th of May, 2023) Spider-Man (18th of May, 2023) Thor (21st of May, 2023) Black Panther (24th of May, 2023) Untitled project (28th of May, 2023) Untitled project (31st of May, 2023) Untitled project (3rd of June, 2023) Untitled project (6th of June, 2023) Avengers (12th of June, 2023) Spider-Man This project will show an older Peter Parker than usual, but not an older Spider-Man. What I mean by this is that he will be 22 when the story starts, fresh out of college. He will be working for the Daily Bugle and he will struggle with money. I don't want to spoil the main villain or the plot. Thor With these two next ones, I won't spoil much. I will only say that it is mostly set on Asgard.

What if you were in the MCU?

Let's set the scene, you have sadly died from a car crash however before you can go to (insert whatever afterlife you believe in), a bored godlike being known as ROB grabs your soul and places you into a new young replicate body and explains to you that out of boredom they decide to place into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, right after the events of Iron Man movie with all of your memories to see what will you do and ROB made sure the TVA won’t interfere. Before they have sent on your way, ROB allows you to choose one ability you can have: Luke Cage’s Superpowers! Quickslivers Superpowers! Spiderman’s Superpowers! A Symbiote with a similar personality to you! Questions: What will you do? Would you become a villain, a hero, or a neutral? How would you change the future events of the MCU? submitted by /u/The_Big_Bad_Wolf_64 [link] [comments]
