I would preferred this in Doctor Strange

If he had actually gotten strong enough to take on Wanda one-on-one instead of having America throw in some pointless punches and then some last second ridiculous family drama. Wanda deserved a cathartic punishment for everything she did. submitted by /u/BirdBright3520 [link] [comments]

The problem with drawing in new fans?

The main reason Marvel comic book series continually restart is to draw in new readers (no one’s going to start reading Spider-Man when the current issue is #914). Do you think the MCU will have to deal with similar problem? With the number of movies pushing 30, it is unlikely to draw in any new fans at this point. I know from first hand experience that it is difficult to convince someone to watch a movie when to fully appreciate it you need a basic knowledge of at least twelve other movies. submitted by /u/Mironet49 [link] [comments]

I'm hyped for Namor and his kingdom more than anything else. If they do his comics personality justice it's going to be glorious, and something MCU really needs right now.

So how many Skrulls do you think are running around right now? And do you think we are going to see any characters mysteriously return, but in truth be Skrulls? I'd love to see Natasha come back briefly, just for the bomb that would drop on Clint and Yelena. submitted by /u/dnext [link] [comments]

Why I'm Team Iron Man despite recognizing the government is flawed as well.

The Sokoviea Accords we're the right call Team Iron Man was on the right side of history and Washington DC proves that unchecked rogue heroes unintentionally kill the people they claim to protect. How many innocent civilians were condemned to their death by Steve's unjustified choice of crashing the hellicarriers instead of just disabling the weapons ? No one spoke to the government to tell the people to evacuate not communicating to any Avengers like Thor Iron Man or Hulk who could destroy the hellicarriers in t The air with ease. Nope they just made a quick decision not even thinking about the aftermath. Hydra was attempting to kill citizens to destroy their enemies. And yet Steve Falcone and Natasha killed citizens to destroy their enemies as well. In this instance Cap Falcon and Natasha were a group of enhanced individuals who inflicted their will where they pleased and we're unconcerned on what they left behind. Combine that with Ultron Loki Wanda etc and it be

[Spoilers] An explanation about the origin of the two kids

I don't know if this has been discussed before, but it always bugged me how Wanda was obsessed with her kids that she made up. But now that I think about it, there is an explanation that satisfies me: Wanda saw these kids in her dream long before WandaVision. Whenever she felt lonely she would see her kids in her dreams, even before she met Vision. So, she was obsessed with these kids from parallel universe and then she decided to recreate their projections in the WandaVision sitcom. Not the other way around. It is just that she was not sure that these dreams were real, and found out about it from Darkhold or whatever. This would explain why she is so obsessed with kids from the fictional sitcom. submitted by /u/ravshanbeksk [link] [comments]

How will Nova be introduced exactly?

I'm wondering how exactly Nova will fit in the MCU and what his backstory will be? They might do it differently cause he was supposed to be introduced way earlier for Infinity War and in GOTG 1 they had the Nova corps but they were super nerfed. They also gave Captian Marvel some of Nova's powers which is weird. It should have been Nova instead of Captain Marvel but it does make things interesting. I'm wondering how they'll explain where he gets his powers from if all the Nova Corps are gone? I really wanna know what Feige's game plan for Nova is. What are everyone's predictions? submitted by /u/cryptofutures100xlev [link] [comments]

MCU Avengers Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars directors and cast speculation

I think it’s fair to say after hearing that Destin Daniel Cretton is directing Avengers Kang Dynasty, we can assume Shang Chi will appear and possibly Wonder Man also to be helmed by Cretton. Taking into account Kang will be a villain in Antman and Wasp, they are probably on the team too. My assumptions include Captain Marvel and Captain America (Sam) for obvious reasons being that they are most likely coleaders for the team. Beyond that I believe Black Panther, War Machine, Vision, She Hulk, Namor, Sersei, Adam Warlock could all likely make supporting appearances based on where they may be at in the zeitgeist or whatever. Characters I feel are more longshots but equally interesting are Loki, Doc Strange, Hawkeye, Thor, Hulk, a Fantastic Four character from their own film in the same year, As far as Avengers Secret Wars the Russo’s have expressed interest returning to direct. Joe has also spoken about Taron Egerton specifically becoming Wolverine which could also come into play if th

My Pitch for F4 entering the MCU

Have Reed and Sue working as scientists at the SWORD space station researching an antimatter universe dubbed "The Negative Zone" in 2018 with Ben, johnny and other scientists (I know Ben & Johnny aren't scientists, but they can just be there for some reasons that the writers can think of lol). The scientists get blipped causing something to go wrong and they get sucked into the negative zone. SWORD doesn't look for them because they believe them to be blipped. When the scientists return in 2023, and the four don't, they realize something went wrong and find a way to get them back. They find them in a state of suspended animation in the negative zone and bring them back. Being in the negative zone for so long gave them powers. Since the movie is taking place during the Secret Invasion era, and could have super skrull be the villain. submitted by /u/khatu2 [link] [comments]

So, in light of the Phase 4 doldrums, I had a sad shower thought.

I get there's a LOT of things to keep track of, strings dangling, plot hooks that go nowhere. And Feige probably isn't going to go back to pick up every little possible thing to say 'this is how this worked out'. I get that. But, if there was one thing that could lead to some serious closure, one thing to go back for that I bet most the cast would be on board for...it's Agent Coulson. He's Alive at the end of the TV Show, and should be doing things as an LMD. He should at least get to say goodbye to the Avengers team to let them know he felt avenged. Even a visit to the graves of the fallen would be cool. I just feel like he slipped through the cracks like so many things. Even a few web shorts to sneak him in and commiserate. submitted by /u/CliffLake [link] [comments]

Avengers Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars prediction

I want to preface this by saying I am mainly a DC guy but I love the Marvel movies. I don't know anything about Kang Dynasty or Secret Wars in the comics this is just me using my movie knowledge. I think that Kang Dynasty will make Kang this huge villain, and at the end, Dr Doom kills Kang amd he is the true villain of the Multiverse Saga, and maybe even be in the next Saga. I don't have any ideas of why he would do it or motivations but it feels really likely that it will happen imo. submitted by /u/Packersrule777 [link] [comments]

The difference between the 2 She-Hulk Trailers are night and day

It's wild how trailers for the same show can be so different. Btw I am not talking about the CGI, I am talking about the story line and how She-Hulk is being portrayed as a character. The first trailer made the show seem like it was going to be a Sex and the City vibe type of show, mainly aimed at the female demographic. And it would have those common tropes of "being a strong, independent woman, but also trying to navigate life." This was at least a lot of what many people were assuming the vibe of the show was going to be like. But the 2nd trailer imo is so much better. She actually feels more badass and it made her career as a lawyer very interesting. I am almost more interested in her cases as a lawyer than her actual journey as a superhero. Assuming that the show will be much more like 2nd trailer, I am now adding this show to my watchlist. This is how you portray a strong female lead! I feel like the MCU missed the mark with this in Captain Marvel, where they ju

Thanos, Kang, who's next?

Maybe it's a little early to talk about this, but who do you think will be the big bad guy for the third MCU Saga? I think I want to see Doctor Doom. After a warrior from Titan and a time traveling conquerer, I'd like to see them mix it up and see a (semi) ordinary man outsmart the Avengers time after time. Maybe his motivation is that he knows Galactus is an inevitability? Or maybe he is trying to prevent his coming with methods the Avengers would consider immoral and dangerous, and even though they put a stop to his plans when he appears, he always manages to get away. Maybe the last two Avengers movies of the saga revolve around Doom's last ditch effort to stop Galactus, before the Avengers stop him, only to find they've paved the way for the planet eater to arrive, and now they have to stop him? This is all just off the top of my head, I'm not sure how doable it is. submitted by /u/Nateyman [link] [comments]

What do you think is the best way for 'Wakanda Forever' to depict T'challa's death in the MCU?

I'm interested in what the fandom thinks is the best and most respectful way for this movie to handle the death of Chadwick Boseman and his character? Obviously they're going to give it their all and try to deliver an amazing movie while trying to remain respectful to his memory and his family, but I feel like they've perhaps written themselves into a corner by making this movie. Don't get me wrong, I am incredibly excited for this movie and I wish it's crew and it's development nothing but luck, but I feel as though no matter how they handle his death SOME people are going to get offended or just have some sort of complaint about it. So what do you think? How would you like to see them handle his death? What do you think is the best reasoning for the characters death they can give? Who would you like to see take on the mantle? What plausible scenario would offend you or turn you off from the movie? I'm curious to know. submitted by /u/Level9_CPU [

Are we okay with how this sub is about spoilers? Is there a way to not see the titles of posts marked *Spoilers*?

I'm someone who does not watch trailers and I don't like to look up information on films (if I know it's something I'm going to see) beforehand. When you post something on this sub, it says "ANY form of spoilers in the title will merit a ban." But I have already seen posts that contain spoilers in their titles in the past couple of days since the announcements and trailers being released- one speculating that we could already have "Shuri as BP confirmed" based on the Wakanda Forever trailer, and one talking about Daredevil appearing in She Hulk . This is the exact kind of spoilers that I'm trying to avoid. These posts are still up and as far as I know the posters aren't banned, as the sub warns they will be. submitted by /u/jaemoon7 [link] [comments]

A little detail I noticed when rewatching Love and Thunder (SPOILERS)

When Darryl was conducting the tour and pointing out Mjolnir, he emphasised the word "immovable" when he was talking about the shards of Mjolnir. Did they just dig up the original ground around Mjolnir where the shards fell and put it in the display dome? You can clearly see the shards are laying out on grass within the dome so it looks like someone just used a shovel and dug up around it and placed it in the dome. submitted by /u/ianrobbie [link] [comments]

Ant-man Opinions

I respect the MCU [took a 3-4 year break and catching up on some stuff] introduced so many obscure heroes and this guy had the whole “bug hero with a hyphen” thing going on making me think he’d be someone more popular than what he was. Watched half of Ant-man. It feels….like a Disney Channel family comedy movie [kind of like how MCU Spidey feels] For the most part, I dunno? Paul Rudd is great as an actor but this movie so far feels very….uninteresting? Reminds me why I kind of took a break for so long. What do people think of Scott Lang and his movies? I feel like he should be way more popular for some reason? submitted by /u/protean-shake [link] [comments]

The big bad AFTER Kang (Phases 7-9)

So I'm thinking....Why not Galactus? Fantastic Four's movie is right before the Avengers/End of Phase 6/End of Multiverse Saga. There's many different ways the first FF bad guy goes, but easily could be Doom. Why waste Galactus with one movie (where he's introduced, causes havoc and gets eventually taken down)? He's beyond epic. Picture the buildup with mentions and end credit scenes all during the third trilogy of the Surfer, or heck, ALL the heralds. Forget the FF, let's have EVERYONE fight him! The only holes in my logic: -I'm waiting 8 more years for Galactus? -Every BIG BIG bad of each trilogy is purple?! submitted by /u/skrishnan37 [link] [comments]

loophole??

So I just watched love and thunder, almost a month after its release. Don't judge, I had exams. So I have a really interesting theory by which marvel can bring back loki. In the post credit scene of L&T, we see Jane foster is in Valhalla along with Heimdall. Since loki died in the same battle, in which heimdall was killed, loki should be in Valhalla too. But I can't really figure out if L&T's post credit scene is of any importance like eternal's post credit scene, in which we see new characters being introduced who will be of great value for its next part. Or is it like MoM's post credit scene (not really necessary but whatever). I really wish it just foreshadows to what is to come Yeah, I've seen Loki(the series), but that dude has problems of his own. And his timeline has become so different than the og loki's. So if we want loki in this timeline, then this is the best way. submitted by /u/shaikhalizayn [link] [comments]

Black panther better keep that tone in the movie

At first honestly I was going to give this thing a miss in theatres and wait for streaming. I like Namor but a black panther movie without black panther combined with the behind the scenes drama turned me off. And kinda assumed with what we knew already after a 15 minutes of being sad at the beginning for Chadwick it was going to be the adventures of snarky shuri and iron heart each trying to out quip each other while saving wakanda from Namor. However if this turns out to be something more than yet another action comedy and keeps the tone of that trailer I’m going opening night lol. submitted by /u/lelwood616_ [link] [comments]

I really hope we might get a 'What If... Ms Marvel were *spoiler*?' in What If...? Seasons 2 or 3

I'd really love if we could get a 'What If... Ms Marvel were Inhuman ?' in What If...? Seasons 2 or 3 and from what the directors of Ms Marvel said about maybe Kamala is Inhuman in the multiverse, it seems like a possibility.... "There's so many different parallel worlds and timelines where…maybe there's a world where Kamala Khan is an Inhuman, and in there, she has the exact same power-set as in the comics, we just don't know," El Arbi said. "That's the only thing that we can say to the fans, but I mean, the possibilities are now unlimited, I would say." I would also love if the AoS Inhumans - Daisy, Lincoln, Yo-Yo etc. - could crossover, but of course, seeing as we've only gotten Coulson back so far in What If...? Season 1 and none of the others since, that's definitely a minuscule possibility, but I think it would be really cool if that could happen! Plus, it would take place in the multiverse, so there wouldn't be any p

It was too soon for dr stranges humility arc

Idk why MoM was trying to build on this “have to be holding the scalpel” arc when he’s not even at his peak yet. If anything this movie should’ve had him be extremely arrogant and built on his power a bit more. We’re yet to see the bold, cocky dr strange that’s top of his game as sorcerer supreme and wearing the title with pride. Any sense of humility shouldve saved for clea as well as having strange be sorcerer supreme then by having another sorcerer supreme to kinda show him he might be the best earth has to offer but he has equals elsewhere. submitted by /u/lelwood616_ [link] [comments]

I'm seeing alot of "Fantastic 4 Casting and Director", "Dr Doom Casting", "Wolverine", "Avengers 5", etc etc While I'm all for the excitement and anticipation, this is looking really similar to the weeks/days leading up to Multiverse of Madness. Expecting alot more than what's in store. In my honest opinion, I think this year will be 95% following up on 2019, and 5% teases/title announcements for Phase 5. Meaning footage/trailers/QnA of stuff like Blade, Black Panther 2, She Hulk, I Am Groot, maybe GOTG xmas and 3???? Then a title announcement for Deadpool 3, and then a tease at the very end for something at D23 in September. I just cant see the higher ups at Disney letting Feige announce the big projects at SDCC when they have their own convention in September. If anything, that is when we'll be getting the big Phase 5 announcements Like F4, Avengers 5, casting announcements, and new project lineups. Regardless, Im still so

What makes Dr. Strange tick?

I feel like there is a large hole in the premise of Dr. Strange and it grows with every new movie, and that is, What causes Dr. Strange to intervene in a situation? In the events of Ragnarok, Strange pulls Thor and Loki aside to determine their reasoning for coming to earth, as it is his job to protect against otherworldly realms, which he has done well until this point. After this we see the introduction of Wenwu & the soaleaters, the Djinn, Ammit, and Gorr, all characters that create disturbance on earth, to which Dr. Strange does jack all. I looked into the timeline and cant see Strange busy with anything else until the events of NWH and MoM, which take place in one month. He isn't very busy otherwise (as far as we are shown). I also thought maybe he knows about some of them, primarily Ammit and Gorr, but chooses not to act, but this doesnt work for me. How to introduce Wolverine's classic uniform in the MCU in a way that makes sense

Like many of you I’m sure, I would REALLY like to see whomever is going to pick up the mantle of Wolverine from Hugh Jackman actually don Wolvie’s iconic yellow and turquoise uniform (WITH the underwear-over-the-trousers, please!). To pre-empt any negative comments about the colour scheme being a bit goofy (which, objectively, it kinda is), here’s how I would introduce it in whichever future X-Men movie new Wolverine makes his first appearance: The X-Men assemble after donning their new uniforms for the first time. Jean, staring at Wolverine: Logan, don’t you think your uniform is a little… showy? Wolverine, smirking: That’s kind of the point, tuts. Jean, visibly confused: I… don’t understand Wolverine, turning to Cyclops: Scott, would you be so kind as to blast me in the chest? Cyclops, hesitantly : I don't think that's a good idea... MUTANTS: A Helpful Explanation

Since Ms. Marvel ended, something I've found surprising in the MCU fandom and community is a massive misunderstanding of how Mutants work and how Kamala differs from, say, Captain America or Spider-Man with some people getting confused as to what classifies someone as a Mutant. I've kind'a taken for granted that I grew up on comics and superheroes and that, at the very least, not everyone has seen an X-Men movie. So, I hope I can help anyone here who may be confused better understand what Kamala being a Mutant means and how being a Mutant sets certain characters apart from the rest of the heroes we've met. So, basically: Mutants are humans with what is called an "X-gene" that causes them to develop powers naturally. Meaning, they don't need any further enhancements - They're born with them; The power they develop typically shows itself around puberty, or can be activated through immense stress and trauma. Some Mutants are latent and may never develo

The Mutants is NOT the X-men

I see a lot of hate surrounding the recently rumored X-Men project being titled “The Mutants” and I don’t think it should be getting as much hate as it’s receiving. People seem to ignore the fact that there are mutants that exist outside of the X-men. If anything this is a project setting up the concept of mutants and not something to replace the X-men as a team/franchise. submitted by /u/JellyBelly1610 [link] [comments]

I just hated at the end that Wanda kills herself by throwing stones/building on herself. This upset me because I saw this as someone who is dealing with PTSD and other mental health issues committing suicide because she has done so much wrong and can’t see another away out. I know some people will comment is Wanda really dead? But just taking the movie as presented the viewer can assume she is dead. I would have liked the hero’s to find another way to help/cure her from the Dark Hold and provide support to someone with mental health issues. submitted by /u/Twcap [link] [comments]

Thor Love and thunder Disappointed

I Posted this under a simple question on another subreddit and felt like I should just posted on my own so here is my opinion for me I felt like it was too rushed Gorr opening scene should have been longer it's his whole back story that set him on his path and they brushed through it especially if they cut all the scenes of him killing gods how can a character have God butcher in his title and don't kill any gods on screen but the first one who told him everything about the sword that's convenient laying beside him didn't really get attached to jane at all I don't think her acting was bad it was just the writing and the fact that she hasn't been seen since 2013 in Thor Dark world (yes it's been that long) and Thor only spoke of her once when he said they broke up and nothing else him going back in Endgame and seeing his mother again had more of a emotional impact I think if they had left some seeds in Endgame where maybe he mentioned missing Jane or her be

Favorite performance in Infinity War outside Josh Brolin's?

Infinity War was the proper ensemble movie as it gave significant bits to each character so there was good stuff for almost all the actors involved. Of course, josh Brolin as Infinity War stole the show as he had the best material. But there were good performances by the rest too. My top 2 picks for the best performances from the heroes would be Zoe Saldana as Gamora & RDJ as Ironman. does your fav MCU villain and hero same qualities?

I am not sure if this explanation works for everyone or not but here it goes anyways . Your favourite characters says lot about YOU as a person. Answer these questions. 1. Who's YOUR favourite MCU hero and viilain ? 2. Do you find anything in comman with each of them ? I'll elaborate the the 2nd point so the character you choose may have something you like as in general about people or some quality you aspire to have or maybe you share same past experiences which help you relate with them. It'll you with my answer first ; my favourite hero is captain America. He's kind , he's strong and above all he's a gentleman . He care for his friends and can do anything to protect them . He is a man of his words, he has basic ethics in life he will not defy them at any cost. He do what must be done and not what he wants to do . He is determined and focused. And villan is WILLSON FISK ; he has many flaws but he can do anything for his family and friends. He believes in

Did people actually watch Thor: Love and Thunder?

I've been seeing people bash LAT for having too many jokes in it—especially those that "undercut" the serious and emotional moments. But, especially after rewatch, the movie is actually very careful to avoid exactly that. In fact, the comedic nature actually works for the story in LAT. Thor is excessively joke-y with the Guardians because a Guardians-level threat is nothing for a Thor-level superhero. Jane jokes about her cancer in a way that's clearly meant to show her denial. Zeus is comedically over the top to demonstrate (to both Thor and the audience) that some Gods are what Gorr believes them to be. The group as a whole can maintain a goofier atmosphere because they know almost immediately that the kids aren't being actively harmed by Gorr and Thor checks in on them throughout their trip. But! The moment that Jane tells Thor she has cancer, the rest of the movie lets every emotional beat have its time. The ending works precisely for that reason. So even

Criticism aside, can we talk about how amazing and beautifully done the Love and Thunder ending was?

I'm going to preface this by saying I fall into the 'Love and Thunder was great, people are just unhappy' camp. However, I'm willing to concede a lot of the common criticisms of the movie. For me, what personally elevated this movie above the rest of P4 was the ending. I love how the climax of the movie didn't come down to a grand-show down between max-power Thor and max-power Gorr. For a character who is used to brute forcing his way out of problems, this is a huge development in Thor's character arc and, after so many emotional highs and lows with the character, feels very earned. The way that they juxtapose Jane-Thor's relationship with Gorr and his daughter at the end was beautifully done. It was emotionally satisfying, tied up many of the themes in the movie (love, loss, relationships, revenge) so neatly. How beautiful is it that Thor trusted Gorr to do the right thing? And Gorr trusted that Thor would in return treat his daughter well? On the other

would anyone else love to see more marvel shorts with minor characters, like the one they did with The Mandarin

Just thinking there is so much scope for premises that could be utilised with minor characters that, well it was sad to see them disappear from the spotlight. It would be a great way to to show more of the characters without having their stories impact the timeline they are running, like it could be a story from their past. Example: The Collector discovered the multiverse and decides he would love to collect one of himself. Trouble is, the alternate collector has had the same idea... It would be great to have more of these between the big shows, as it really seems sometimes the gaps are too big between films. They could even specifically request premises from fans to make it more interactive, and use the viable ones. submitted by /u/Ok_Maintenance2513 [link] [comments]

My MCU Phase 4 thoughts so far, amidst all the Phase 4 discourse that exists for some reason

Alright, now that we're 13 projects into Phase 4 I'm going to give my ranking of them all so far. I'm a pretty big MCU fan and honestly I haven't disliked any of the titles on this list, there's just some that are definitely better than others. My opinions change a lot though and so does my ranking but this is where it's at right now: 13. Black Widow Before anyone says anything, this is not because I'm against female superheroes or anything like that. In fact, Captain Marvel is a top tier MCU movie for me and I defend and love it. However, Black Widow didn't go as far or deep as I feel like it could've with its subject matter. Maybe the coolest part of the movie is the opening credits set to 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' that give glimpses of Natasha's past; unfortunately, that's pretty much all we get showing her training. The plot is pretty basic and the villain is one of the most forgettable in the MCU (Ray Winstone's character
