Representation chart in the MCU

I'm doing this in respect of all genders; for simplicity I've explicited male and females. For teams, group of people in supporting roles and minor roles I've chosen thinking about relevance, majority and presence of the characters. I understand it could be very questionable, but it's not boolean. submitted by /u/TrpTrp26 [link] [comments]

Captain America, Netflix, Serpent Society

It would be a huge missed opportunity to nix the Serpent Society, specifically as Luke Cage brought in a couple of names like Diamondback and Bushmaster. Not only that, but Iron Fist Season 2 dipped into Davos, The Steel Serpent. I know Captain America: Brave New World is supposed to have Seth Rollins featured >! as a Serpent Society !< character, but I’ve also seen speculation that he will be more of a joke character and leave it at that for the Serpent Society. Am I the only one who would feel like this is a huge missed opportunity? Especially considering Netflix having shown a few of the Serpent Society members around and now being canon to the MCU (however that looks). Personally, I think it would be a fascinating post credits scene for Captain America: Brave New World with Sam enlisting help outside of the confines of the government a la Heroes for Hire. Bring in Luke Cage, Danny Rand, Jessica Jones, The Punisher, and possibly more in a series that showcases how the Serpe

Can we talk about Cap

My friend and I were talking about tier list of the MCU movies and I happen to place Winter Solider and Civil War in the S tier, and talked about how much I enjoyed them and Captain America/Chris Evan's portrayal, even though I don't have any comic background. My friend really dislikes Captain American's character via the MCU. He said, and I quote: Cap is superficial, arrogant, hothead who can't deal with not being the one in charge His 'humor' is awful and insulting. He's hotheaded when people point out he's not a perfect, infallible hero and that's he's actually an egotistical character. He didn't do anything to earn his powers. He doesn't acknowledge his weaknesses, which makes him an arrogant chump. Then he tags out and grows old serving his own self-interests, having never learned a much needed lesson of humility So what's your take on their thoughts? I don't really see a lot of this and comes off as Team Iron Man.

Who has the best drip in the MCU?

Deadpool 3 will be an important film moving forward and the official synopsis of the same only confirms that.

Image
"The history of the MCU" particularly caught my attention at the first read. My first thought was that the film will lean more on Fox Universe since there have been rumours of cameos from the older X-Men too but it seems like the film will open the room to have the Mutants within the MCU. Just so there's also an actual plan to shift from Kang, Deadpool 3 seems like an option for them to close that bit off as well. submitted by /u/AmusinglyArtistic [link] [comments]

The Blip will never be explored in the MCU. In fact, it’s going to be shoved under the rug as quietly as possible.

I think they came up with arguably one of the best plot devices they probably could have ever found in the Blip. You’re telling me literally 1/2 of every human being just disappears? And possibly animal life as well? That’s a threat like you cannot even imagine. God what I wouldn’t give to see the aftermath of that on screen. The problem is, I don’t believe you would be able to adequately envision that on screen in a way that gives you the ability to have a relatively normal world a few years later. Let’s be real, we are talking about half of the world disappearing overnight, but a catastrophic amount of death on the other side of that. Planes crashing because the pilot was blipped, cars crashing because half of their drivers were blipped, surgeries in process, pregnant mothers where the mother was blipped, but the child wasn’t, just an absolute apocalyptic scenario. The little flashes of boats and planes and stuff in the harbor at the beginning of endgame was nowhere near what the a

Fun fact: Agents of shield is the MCU tv show with the most movie character appearances.

Yes you heard that right. As many as 11 characters from the movies show up in AOS. So you should definitely watch the show, (for many different reasons btw) but if you don't care about spoilers, here they are: Agent Peggy Carter, Nick Fury, Lady Sif, Jasper Sitwell, Coulson, Gideon Malick, President from Iron man 3 (I don't know his name), Maria Hill, Dr list, Dum dum Dugan and Jim Morita. Not to bad for a show that's "not canon". Edit: Since people keep bringing up What if. I meant to say most different appearances of characters from the movies in a live action show, played by the same actors. submitted by /u/nudeldifudel [link] [comments]

EPIC Venom/Spider-Man PIANO Mashup

Image
submitted by /u/Own-Necessary-8337 [link] [comments]

So I'm wanting to write a Spider-Man MCU AU fic and I want to hear some ideas.

The idea for my fic is its basically a 'What if Peter Parker was older in the MCU?' The idea is that, for me, its centred around Peter being more like how I feel he should've been written/more accurate to the comics. My starting idea is that when Tony recruits him for the Civil War, he's 19, not 15. He's been Spider-Man for four years at this point, and became Spider-Man shortly after the Battle of New York. He got his powers on a field trip to a Science Laboratory where the scientists, with permission from the US Government, where experimenting on different creatures with Chitauri power cores to see the effects long term exposure to the cores might have on living creatures as part of a project to repurpose Chitauri tech for human use. On the trip, Peter is bitten by a spider irradiated by one of the cores, hence, giving him powers. But how should I approach this? off the bat, I automatically want him to be with Mary Jane. Like him being Spidey, they've been

Discussion of Kang

I see a lot of post about this very subjects and there are alot of opinions out there. But let's all be real. A recast is the ONLY option and the only way to go. With the rules of variants established in the Loki series it makes ABSOLUTELY no sense not to recast because they wouldn't really even have to address it. Other variants exist and some of these variants are very different looking from the others. I see a lot if traction to make Ravonna the new HWR and a Avengers lvl threat which just is a really bad Ide what makes Kang so good as a villain is his extreme intelligence and tech skills which Ravonna just doesn't possess. Another push I see is a replace for Doom and I just have to ask you ? Why ? Are you guys just borderline insane ?!? Why do you want to see one of Marvels best and neauanced villains used as a backup ? Why do you want to rush this epic villain that most likely will end up being a rushed one time thing half done thing?.. Doom needs a journey, a

Blurp's Popularity is Possibly the Reason For Why He Played a Somewhat Important Role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

Do you think Blurp's popularity is possibly the reason for why he played a somewhat important role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3? Blurp was initially Fitz-Gibbonok's pet F'saki until they were both caught by Karja and Adam Warlock killed Fitz-Gibbonok after Adam misunderstood what Ayesha meant by showing Fitz-Gibbonok that they mean business, which left Blurp in despair. So, Adam chose to adopt Blurp, even though Ayesha wanted him to kill Blurp. Blurp's role in the film was serving as Adam Warlock's pet. Even though Blurp wasn't that important in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, do you still like him? He's so adorable. It also helps that his vocal effects were provided by the one and only Dee Bradley Baker. submitted by /u/Elegant_Departure_99 [link] [comments]

Would a public reveal of Daredevil's secret identity work in the MCU?

I've been having these theories for a while now and even though they just did this with Spider-Man, I think it could work for Daredevil. Obviously it wouldn't happen when the Born Again series is happening, but maybe it's finale or something like that. It's rumored that Born Again will be 13 episodes approximately and it's narrative will continue on Spider-Man 4. So, they can do a lot of stuff with Matt still having the secret identity. But, I think it would be cool for that a final confrontation between Matt and Fisk, they would adapt a version of either Bendis' or Waid's run. Specifically, the identity reveal. Then on a second season, they would continue on this plot line with other stuff like Blindspot, Bullseye's return, etc. Because let's face it, Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio won't play these guys forever. So, might as well go crazy and adapt all of the greatest hits. submitted by /u/Sufficient_Bat_5152 [link] [comments

If the events of Civil War didn't happen, would the Avengers united be poweful enough to take on Thanos?

I'm sure this has been asked before but what if say the Sokovia accords were never ratified and Zemo's plan failed, what would the state if the Avengers be in 2018 when Thanos finally decided to do it himself? Things to conisder: What about heroes like Spider-man, Ant-man, Dr. Strange, Daredevil and other's who've been established since. Would they have eventually have joined the team in the three years since Age of Ultron where the Avengers would've allowed to be a team without any interruptions? Would Black Panther or the Wakandans been involved at all? Could the Guardians have found their way to Earth to help? Would Thanos still have sent The black order to retrieve the stones in his stead? Lastly, could the Avengers united defeat Thanos with 4 stones? submitted by /u/Illustrious-Cut-8333 [link] [comments]

Better late than never: Echo was good!

Sorry I am late to the party, as Reddit banned me because I have shown some communists redditors everything I think about their bloody ideology. I really liked Echo! Mostly because of the good, material, likable main character. In my opinion, Maya is the one who should be the new Captain America. I also likes cameos of Daredevil and Clint Barton. And I would piss in my pants if in the next season she would meet Jessica Jones and Luke Cage too. And the next reason I've liked the show is very nerdy, so feel free to stop reading. I have recently got my genome sequenced and while trying to understand the results I've to my surprise learned that each human cell has three (sic!) genomes. One from my mom, one from my dad, and the one inside of the mitochondion. I understand the story is like this: millions yeas ago various proto-cells were swimming in the ocean, happy eating each other and splitting. One type of them, the proto-mitochondion, has evolved to be universal food proc

Witches and Sorceress exist, where does that place the humble “spiritualist” of the world?

In the MCU individuals possess actual magical power. Be it innate like Wanda, or Drawn from extra-dimensional sources like the Master of the Mystic Arys. But, where does this leave people who run a shop selling crystals, incense, do palm reading and are self proclaimed psychic mediums, and humble folk religion practitioners. This elements exists, as seen in Luke Cage. Not only with the “Mothers Touch” apothecary, but also with Bushmaster gaining abilities through their practices, albeit with the aid of “Nighshade”. There must still be merit in general, even if one didn’t posses some. So this overall makes me wonder about people like this, they can’t fly, teleport, but is marvel world allowing room for something more than just, “super hero’s”. submitted by /u/AgileWorldliness82 [link] [comments]

Well at least the show started strong

I was loving episodes 1-3. The fight choreography was some of the best on any mcu show. But…what happened? The finale just dropped the quality ball completely. From cheap set design to lazy choreography, it just left me with a completely lackluster feeling. I really hope Feige pauses and reigns in some creative control going forward. I want to look forward to more Kingpin but its hard when I just saw Maya’s grandmother wipe out half his bodyguard. Is it fair to compare Wanda’s arc to Daenerys’s in Game of Thrones or Jean Greys in X-Men the Last Stand?

Personally I think the answer is an unquestioned yes, but I’m curious to know, now almost 2 years after Multiverse of Madness and the continued lack of clarity as to what will happen with Wanda, what most fans think This of course, assumes MCU fans are also fans of Game of Thrones AND also watched the 2000s X-Men trilogy I’ve seen many, including myself, compare Wanda’s offscreen turn to a 1-dimensional psychopath from Wandavision to MoM to Daenerys’s almost inexplicable decision to murder tens of thousands of civilians in the penultimate episode of the series, thus “justifying” her murder. I think many compare the two partly because they happen so close together. I do think, however, that Jean Greys offscreen corruption by the Phoenix persona in X-Men the last Stand is also very similar. Moreover, despite being a hero and a friend to many protagonists in the movie, no one seems to keen on trying to help her or at least nullify her without killing her. They simply kill her off. Mor

After a long and embarrassing journey, Secret Invasion has finally overtaken Thor: The Dark World and fallen to the absolute bottom of MCU projects by average Letterboxd rating.

In the morning, the oft-bemoaned Thor: The Dark World resided at the bottom of the MCU's average Letterboxd ratings, as it had for almost all its lifetime (and certainly for as long as this list has existed). By the evening, it had traded places with its neighbor Secret Invasion , which was clearly crowned the most widely-reviled Marvel Studios release almost immediately upon its finale debut. I was watching SI's gradual fall through the list with some admittedly malicious glee, but I wasn't sure when it would finally drop to last place. I don't check this list or changes every day, though - more like every couple weeks. It just so happened that I saw TDW was still last on Thursday morning, but noticed a couple other changes I wanted to return to later to note (I keep a log of every shift in the list

So my boyfriend is a huge Marvel fanatic. I recently just started watching films from the MCU too and I noticed something that perhaps some of you can help clarify. I checked the IMDB rating for ‘Echo’ and it’s on a 6.5/10. ‘Miss Marvel’ is at 6.3. With the exception of WandaVision, it seems that the critics have much more negative critique when series or movies with strong female cast or female lead. Again - just an observation. Im asking because the ironheart series is coming out and I want to understand the character before it comes out. How was she able to build a functional iron man suit in her garage (most likely worth) millions but she needs to do some colleagues homework for 10 dollars? And how does she have such a big garage and resources to build a suit when she's supposed to be struggling from a disadvantaged background? So she has a billion worth of arc reactor in her garage, but still only knows how to make money by doing colleagues homework.... And how is she already a expert at using the suit? Imagine if in the first Iron Man movie, the suit he built in the cave was perfect and he managed to fly all the way home in it because he already knew how to make it? Then we skip all those scenes of him tweaking and figuring out how to make a better suit, testing it's flight and all that no - we skip all that and he just creates a perfect suit that works perfectly? submitted by /u/Con

[SPOILERS] Analysis of Echo’s powers

There is a lot of questioning regarding Maya’s power. Here is my interpretation; just trying to see if this makes sense. Various women throughout Maya’s ancestry had powers from some sort of spiritual realm. They are all unique and different. It almost seems that these powers are not readily accessible, but only granted when the user is in need (a la the sword of Gryffindor) Chafa: Power Gifting - She was the first Choctaw, and started the lineage of powered women. She literally gave everyone their powers. Lowak: Strength - Absolutely dominated in that stickball game. Tuklo: Aim/Accuracy - This was pretty self explanatory. Taloa: Healing - Also self-explanatory, and I think they actually said it was healing. Maya: Echoing - Maya’s power is that she can tap into any of the powers of her ancestors. She shows Power Gifting when she gives Bonnie and their grandmother super strength. She shows super strength when she frees her leg from the train. She shows aim-accuracy

The end of SpiderMan Homecoming heavily implies that the Avengers have press conferences to announce big news. I think its a pretty damn good show overall and may be top 4 once I watch the final 2 episodes. Alaqua Cox as Maya... 😍 she is a badass and becoming one of my top mcu ladies characters. I admit now they could've handled her better in Hawkeye but all that makes more sense in ECHO after the 1st ep. I love her facial expressions and whenever she uses ASL to communicate. Also young Maya is like the little girl in Godzilla Minus One good. The supporting characters were also great. Two were absolutely hilarious, and I liked the actress who plays Maya's cousin Bonnie 😍 (she also voices kahhori in What If). The show got me to care for them and hopefully they all make it by the finale. And Mayas grandma in this is kinda like a mix of Miguel's from Coco and Mirabel in Encanto The TV MA rating works for the fight scenes. All great. Loved the visuals, score and music choices The only thing im mixed on is all the Choctow stuff (it's interesting but idk what I just saw) but

What does the public know about Wilson Fisk a.k.a. “Kingpin”?

So I’m rewatching Daredevil Season 3 ahead of the “Echo” miniseries and I’m curious, what does New York City know about Kingpin? This is what I’ve come up with so far, assuming everything from the Daredevil series is officially canon, as the promotional materials seem to indicate: -Up until the Hell’s Kitchen attack, he was a very private man. He came out as a philanthropist trying to “bring aid to Hell’s Kitchen” in the wake of the destruction. -Fisk was charged and convicted on racketeering, five RICO counts, which is enough to warrant a 20 year sentence per count. -Fisk is a man who publicly stands up against vigilantes like Daredevil. -Fisk is connected to the Wall Street community (Leland Owlsley) Does the public know that Leland was found dead shortly before Fisk was arrested? -when Fisk was arrested in Season One, the news showed him being broken out of the police van by armed escort. (That looks pretty guilty) -Fisk spent time in jail and was an FBI witness informant to

It states "the bangle allows Kamala to harness to power of the Noor energy and turn it into light constructs". We know she's used her powers without the bangle, so I feel like this is contradictory. So Kamala's powers are divided by three factors: Her Noor Dimension heritage Her X-Gene The Bangle (we know she isn't dependant on the bangle, it just unlocked her powers). What exactly is the function of each factor? Im still a little confused. How does each factor, function in making her powers work? What would her mutation look like, without her Noor Dimension heritage? Would she be able to make contructs with energy from a battery or something? submitted by /u/nazia987 [link] [comments]

Captain Carter's multiversal arc and The MCU's next POV Protagonist

I've seen a lot of hate for how much Captain Carter there was in S2 of What If?, and YMMV, but I wanted to just love on these S2 episodes that allowed us to revisit what has always been my favorite corner of the MCU. Carter experienced really interesting versions of CA:FA, CA: WS, and then a sort of version of IW and EG. Natasha's character and the will they/won't they dynamic she had with Steve being repurposed here was pretty great, Steve being basically the Winter Soldier and heroic arcs for Bucky, bringing in components of the Black Widow movie for the WS episode, and then her place as our relatable central hero... all of it was pretty great. Folks always talk about whether Steve or Tony were the main characters of the Infinity Saga, but it was Steve's movies that always intersected with the Avengers, with Hydra as a part of AoU, and Civil War impacting IW heavily. Carter provided that for us here. I think part of what the MCU always needs is a fish out of water

Which of the two black panther movies' music do you prefer and and had resonated more with you?

By music, It could be the soundtrack and/or the score. Both have recognizable and different soundtracks from each other but perfectly fit into the movie they're in. submitted by /u/Jjassassin11 [link] [comments]

What If..? S2 E8 is great but it confuses me.

In the eighth episode of the second season of What If..?, are all the heroes and villains (King Thor, Sir Fury, Scarlet Witch etc.) natively from this time period? Or were they all transported to that time period like Steve Rogers was? submitted by /u/alfonsocallaghan [link] [comments]

Outside of Deadpool 3 and unless there aren't any changes, these are the releases scheduled for this year. Which are you interested in?

There's also Eyes Of Wakanda which I missed and there is also the likeliness of Ironheart's release but there hasn't been a word on it yet. Coming to the releases above, the animation division at Marvel has me intrigued. Echo also has my attention after that teaser and I'm not so interested in Agatha just yet but hopefully it'll surprise us. submitted by /u/AmusinglyArtistic [link] [comments]
