Do you think we'll ever see America Chavez in an episode of What If?

Since she's there's only one version of her, do you think we'll ever see her in What If? Maybe in an appearance before DS MOM? Or after as a canon cameo? submitted by /u/Puedo60 [link] [comments]

[Spoilers for What If Season 2] Supreme Strange could have been the villain for Avengers Secret Wars

Its just a theory and what i think, and am not sure if this would have worked out or not As of now, apparently i don't really think Marvel is going for Dr Doom to be the bad guy of Avengers Secret Wars. He is a complex characters, and he needs enough time to develop as a villain. As we saw in What If, Strange was collecting variants of characters across the multiverse, whether they were heroes or villains, trying to resurrect his home world. We saw so many characters, and so many of their variants, all fighting each other. Supreme Strange remained unmatched in the battle, literally handling every variant at his fingertips with ease, and that was menacing. He would have been a perfect villain. He literally owned everyone on screen. He was a multiversal level threat, threatening every reality to resurrect his own. https://preview.redd.it/lw0s3d2qio9c1.png?width=1129&format=png&auto=webp&s=f6e6ae4e1e83e364d988ce2e85286a620015fb74 https://preview.redd.it/ue1qvxx

Phases 4 & 5 weren’t as bad as people think…

Going over a list of all the projects that dropped since Phase 4 started and I have to say I enjoyed most of it. Love & Thunder was almost unwatchable and Secret Invasion had a good start but didn’t stick the landing. And don’t attack me for this but I actually liked She-Hulk. That and What If are the only shows that felt like actual shows and not movies chopped up into 6 parts (still good shows though). But that’s just my humble opinion 🙃 submitted by /u/shotbydarrell [link] [comments]

Was there ever an actor you were surprised to learn appeared or was appearing in an MCU project?

This question came to me after rewatching No Way Home when I was surprised that I didn’t recognize before that the bartender who served Eddie Brock in the mid-credits scene was played by Cristo Fernández. To those who have watched Ted Lasso, you’ll recognize him as Mr. “Football is Life”, the human golden retriever himself Dani Rojas. Was there anyone else like this for you? submitted by /u/PhanThief95 [link] [comments]

feel like Loki is what everyone expected wandavision to be

and I don’t mean with the multiverse stuff, I mean sticking the landing. Loki made me remember that marvel TV doesn’t have to be mediocre or crap it’s pants in the end. when I saw wandavision I expected the cool concept to develop into me caring about characters, rising stakes, actual tension and emotion. but they really dropped the ball at the end. the finale of that show felt like a nothing sandwich. all that build up just for the payoff to not be good Loki on the other hand started interesting, had mysteries, and kept me engaged to the end. it felt really good to watch a marvel show where I actually care about the characters and like the ending. Loki isn’t just a good marvel show, it’s a good show on its own merits. if marvel realizes what we want is good stories and leans into this type of stuff, I’m excited to see where it goes. I dunno what do you think? submitted by /u/11646Moe [link] [comments]

What if should be a fleshed out series and not minorly connected single episodes that connect at the end

Hey, I've been liking the first and second season so far. My main complaint is more or less, that it is all single episodes, sometimes not fleshed out, which feels like they put a lot of different things in a random generator, let it run and then use that for the episode. E.g. Characters, location, Weapons/Items, etc.. Instead, why don't you show more of an alternate timeline completly? For example (just from scratch, i'm sure you guys have better ideas), show us a timeline from start to finish, where Hulk/Banner never learned to controll himself, over the course of a Season of What if and show all the movies/teamups in different episodes, and what changed, instead of giving us 1 short episode for it. This would make each What if season a "Full Set" within one continuity. I don't really care if a character dies in an episode, because in the next one he is alive and well. If you go by the approach of only showing one timeline, a death actually matt

With the new postponements, when will we see certain characters again?

Fortunately Captain America and Thunderbolts seem to carry forward and unite the storyline of many characters, from Black Widow to Hulk, the problem is the rest The Eternals ended in a way that they can't reappear "randomly" without resolving the question left in the movie, are you saying we should wait after the Avengers movies? as happened with the guardians? And Shang Chi? Nothing is known, the sequel should have already been released by now, it's difficult to become attached to the characters if they appear once every 5 years, in the same period of time the original Avengers appeared over and over again Without considering all the others like Black Panther or Wanda or MoonKnight or She Hulk I find this excessive delay frustrating, according to the original plans we should have already seen the Avengers 5 and 6 films, I'm more interested in these issues than revisiting Deadpool (never liked) or yet another TV series that leads nowhere submitted by /u

What if…?

just a little thought that i have while re-watching both What if and AOS…. AOS is basically “What if Agent Coulson survived..?” if you stop to think about it. sooo why we don’t have any episode about our crew from AOS or some of the characters show up on some What If episodes, don’t see anyone talking about this, and i think it will be more than awesome to see then coming back, and canonize AOS once for all…. what are your thoughts about this? submitted by /u/gab1620 [link] [comments]

IF Dr. doom replaces kang as the antagonist of the upcoming avengers movies, then the fantastic 4 will be the most important movie for the survival of the franchise.

we all know the mcu is at a little bit of a low point, but the theory that dr doom will be featured in avengers 5/6 is exciting to say the least, as dr doom has always remained iconic throughout marvel fans. but this isn't foolproof. for this to work, the movie fantastic 4 movie must make Dr. Doom WORK, and work well at that. and based on context from previous movies, I know exactly what bar needs to be reached for this to succeed: Loki. loki similarly, was a powerful villain that first appeared in a hero's origin story but was expanded to fit a much larger role and this actually worked very well (considering how beloved the first avengers movie is). I'm not saying loki was amazing or even that unique , but im saying for the avengers 5 and 6 to succeed with dr doom they would need to at least reach loki's range. no need to be worried about this however, considering the previous fantastic 4 movies. When you think about the fantastic 4 2005 movie, the best part of

I think She-Hulk: Attorney-At-Law would've been a smash hit network show based on premise alone

Jenn Walters is In her 30s Working on a white collar career Managing an average awkward family Attempting a non-starter of a love life That describes like half of millennials! I loved the parts of She-Hulk that focused on Jenn trying to balance all these things because that speaks to me on a personal level. I'm living that life right now, along with many others. And while I am not a woman, I like to think I'm empathetic enough to put myself in her shoes. I have a mom and a sister and cousins and friends and lovers, too. It's nice for me to see this whole situation from the other side, because frankly us guys on this side are hoping to get together and build lives with the women on the other side. The premise of a 30-something woman trying to manage career, family, friends, and dating is a television classic dating back to The Mary Tyler Moore Show . It's the exact type of story made for network TV, a medium where audiences age and grow with their favorite char

Does Sony not allow Marvel to use Spider-Man in What if anymore? There aren't any confirmed appearances from him this season, and it's kind of a bummer because I want to see some episodes like "What if Spider-Man joined Team Cap?".

Times Widow lied to get info

Natasha likes to both 'act like she knows everything' and 'act like she knows nothing' in order to get information - we see that in Avengers and in Winter Soldier. Honestly, Scarlet Jo's acting sometimes makes it super obvious (Avengers hulk room/loki scene), but sometimes super hard to tell. I've found a few moments in Winter Soldier where she acts like she doesn't know in order to get info/reaction (because it's so obvious that she WOULD know - also she asks it differently than she does when being honest): When she asks Steve 'Who's that' about Peggy's picture at Camp Lehigh Acting like she doesn't know who the 'nurse down the hall is' when she suggests Cap ask her out In the Apple store, they get the coord for Lehigh - she asks Steve if he knows it. Any others that people found or speculate? I think after her 'trust' convo with Steve in WS, she was way more honest and straightforward in subsequent movies, but

We really need to appreciate the MCU in the present. All I see is people complaining about the Multiverse Saga, yet I’ve been very satisfied with the product, apart from a few bad shows/movies

Great Movies: Black Widow, Shang-Chi, Spider Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange: MoM, and GotG 3 (I haven’t watched The Marvels yet, but like all 3 actresses) Amazing Shows: WandaVision, Loki 1 & 2, Hawkeye, Moon Knight, and What if…? 1 & 2. The Good: Thor: Love and Thunder (Didn’t live up to the hype, but still good), The Falcon and the Winter Solider (Did need some fine-tuning, but ultimately good), & She-Hulk (Not well received by all, but I loved Jennifer Walters. The ending took me back a little, but ultimately good IMO) The Meh: Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantomania (drink the ooze), & Ms. Marvel (the show wasn’t for me and not a very good ending. However, I liked the main characters and the show as an introduction. Kamala Khan is going to be a great character) The Awful (Really have no interest in watching again): Eternals & Secret Invasion Regardless of how you rank the shows, I only have 2 that I really had issues with: Etern

There should be no Endgame

Thanos should have won. There would be no coming back. Half of characters should die forever (but other than those who died in IW) along with half of the population and world shouldnt look as bad as it did 5 years later because that looks like 95% disappeared instead of 50%. The scene where Thanos dies (23 days later, after destroying stones) should be ending scene of Infinity War. And here are some characters that I think should definetly live: Captain America and Black Widow (because i ship them since Winter Soldier) Bucky Spiderman Rocket, Nebula and Quill (because GOTG vol. 3 was too good and these were the most important characters) And Rhodey should've died in Civil War and Gamora should've died in GOTG vol.2 submitted by /u/First-Ad394 [link] [comments]

So what exactly is Thor

I'm watching the mcu in timeline order currently and I got to Thor the dark world, and there's a part pretty early on in the movie where Loki is talking to Odin about how he was gonna conquer earth as a benevolent God or whatever, but then Odin says that they're not Gods, and that they're basically just like humans except they live for thousands of years, but that led me to wonder what they actually are, if they're not strong enough to be actual gods but are still op af and can harness the power of lightning and stuff what exactly are they? submitted by /u/Madmaxdaman29 [link] [comments]

The Collector Ark

How cool would it be if Marvel created an ark for The Collector? I was thinking, in hindsight, it might’ve been a good idea to slow down the End Wars, or somehow integrate arks for those unique characters like the collector on Disney plus. Magneto’s past doesn’t need to be changed.

I’ve seen a lot of people stating that Magneto’s past should be changed as the holocaust was about 80 years ago and it wouldn’t make sense for him to still be alive, with many people suggested instead for him to have been apart of the civil rights movement but I don’t feel like it would hit the same way (professor X on the other hand I think could work fantastically being a member of the civil rights movement) they could very easily get around this a few different ways He has a second mutant ability it being a regeneration power that’s pretty weak all things considered but has enough oomph to keep him going and decreased his aging slightly. The Nazi’s experimented on him and it decreased his aging before he escaped He was frozen by the Nazi’s (for whatever reason) and awoke maybe 10-15 years prior to the X-men introduction where he began finding other mutants and saw how things were changing and becoming tense maybe the Sokovia accords that when kicked in made him start fear

Kang wasn't defeated by ants

This meme has been repeated so many times that I think a lot of people have rewritten their memories of the scene to believe it's true. There are plenty of complaints to be had about the movie, but this isn't one of them. So, for the record, here's how the entire scene played out: https://youtu.be/GAd4YZAoL3E?si=rfm3SVlunJu0rIFu https://youtu.be/a0feNnPpPv8?si=T7_mOXdYYTLqAEfE https://youtu.be/S6dfSRWTgMg?si=AdpmrMVn7iWv99fs 1) Scott as Giant-Man breaks the spinning rings thing that Kang was using to try to bring his empire up out of the Quantum Realm. 2) Kang is angry so goes out and starts zapping the rebels nearby, stops Jentorra's spear from hitting him, and redirects Xolum's beam thingy right back into his face. 3) As the rebels flee, Scott, Hope and Cassie confront him. Hope's wrist blasters bounce off his shields, hand-to-hand isn't very effective against him, when someone goes big and grabs him he does a little explosion thingy to break free,

What If..? S1E8 & Avengers Age Of Ultron/Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 timeline

My autism is eternally locked in Mortal Kombat with my ADHD causing these thoughts to keep me up at night... It's well established that Avengers Age of Ultron and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 take place in the year 2015, Disney+'s timelime has put Guardians 2 just before A.O.U but this could just mean that they happen concurrently, I would argue that although they do happen at pretty much the same time, A.O.U should be placed before Guardians 2. But before that, think about this... In the What If..? series, we see different universes that are similar to the main one we've been following, but with some differences. Season 1 episode 8 shows us what if Ultron won, referring to him defeating the Avengers in A.O.U and becoming Vision. We see Ultron (now as Vision) defeat the Avengers roughly half way through the plot of A.O.U and then shortly after, Thanos shows up with an almost completed Infinity Gauntlet (only missing the Mind Stone which is in Vision's head). Image
1) First class 2) Second wave 3) Third wave I think that Wolverine, Ms.Marvel (she'll be characterized like Jubilee), Rogue and Storm would appear in different projects before joining the X-Men. They should use new or underutilized characters to be different from the FoX-Men. Scott and Jean would be the leaders. Xavier is obvious. submitted by /u/TrpTrp26 [link] [comments]

Do you think Peter Capaldi or John Simm could play Doc.X in a potential second season of Ms. Marvel?

Image
Doc.X is a villain of Ms. Marvel/Kamala Khan in the comics debuting in 2017 so six years ago and it could be interesting to see him be adapted for the Marvel Cinematic Universe potentially with some makeup or CGI to change the actor's hair colour to red and his skin colour to green or blue like how the character has been portrayed. https://preview.redd.it/jw818lmmgw6c1.jpg?width=791&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=194331485172c46acd8880589d365a143bda7458 https://preview.redd.it/fijxanw8gw6c1.png?width=540&format=png&auto=webp&s=7857e889b826bde0f399d9f57f4b6db2795552b8 https://preview.redd.it/1gm8xny7gw6c1.jpg?width=600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dafe5dc91d01ee490ebb1b67923f4b5cc5627a70 https://preview.redd.it/2vuugng6gw6c1.jpg?width=590&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7f02e271571f16e50954cd50bdd36dab10478f29 submitted by /u/BeanoTown-23 [link] [comments]

Do all universes in the MCU Multiverse have to be branches?

As the release date of Season 2 of What If? is coming closer I had decided to rewatch the 1st season. Now it was established in both Loki and What If? that new timelines are created by a singular choice that is not supposed to happen. Good example of this is Peggy Carter deciding to watch the Steve transform but not from the glass window, which turned her into Captain Carter. Another example is Janet Van Dyne crossing paths with a virus which led to a Zombie outbreak. But here is where a start to question this lore point. Do all alternate realities have to be branches of The Sacred Timeline? There are some universes like Earth 838, X-Men Cinematic Universe, X-Men Cartoons, and also The Spider Verse that despite being part of the MCU multiverse they don’t happen to be related to the sacred timeline. If they were branches in the Sacred Timeline, the Avengers would exist in the XMen universe or etc. What I mean is that there was no singular choice that created this timelines. So is it

Madripoor and Selby plot wasted

Image
Anyone else feel like they kinda fumbled this part of the show? I loved it for what it was, but Selby’s character and Madripoor in general felt pretty wasted in TFATWS. One episode in and out. I know there it was rewritten half way through cause of COVID but I can’t imagine it would’ve affected that part much. I’m not sure. I just wished we got to see it play out a bit more. And also, Sam not just declining the call or putting his phone on silent made no sense. Like cmon, he’s not that dumb. submitted by /u/this_is_difficult101 [link] [comments]

I asked ChatGPT to write an MCU story about Odin and his firstborns, Hela and Týr, conquering the Nine Realms. This is basically the backstory of Hela and Odin in Thor: Ragnarök, with the God of War Týr added as the other firstborn.

Title: "Odin's Conquest" --- In the early days of Asgard, before Thor and Loki, there existed a time of conquest and glory under the rule of Odin, the Allfather. This is the untold tale of Odin's firstborns, Hela and Týr, as they embarked on a campaign to conquer the Nine Realms and establish Asgard as the dominant power in the cosmos. Odin, fueled by a desire for greatness, summoned his children to the throne room. Hela, the elder sibling, wielded a dark power that matched her ambition, while Týr, the warrior-born, was renowned for his unmatched combat skills. "The time has come for Asgard to ascend to its rightful place," declared Odin, his eye blazing with determination. "Hela, Týr, you shall lead our forces and conquer the Nine Realms in my name!" With their father's blessing, Hela and Týr set out, accompanied by legions of Asgardian warriors. The Bifrost hummed to life, transporting them to the first realm on their list: Vanaheim. V

Bucky and his scars - or lack thereof?

Image
So Bucky is shown to have this real ugly scarring around his shoulder, which I think makes sense considering how experimental the procedure and all that would have been. But I was wondering, why does he have no other scars? You’d think from all the implied torture along with the many missions that he went on - even from just life before being with HYDRA while at war - that he’d have more body scars to show for it? I guess with super healing it wouldn’t be as common but I would’ve thought there’d be some gnarly scars here and there. That’s all :) submitted by /u/this_is_difficult101 [link] [comments]

Do you think Kate Bishop should be called "Hawkeye" going forward?

The older MCU seemed to have an aversion to using "superhero names" for everyone. Captain America and Thor are probably the most common ones that were actually used regularly. Tony Stark was most often called by his real name. Hawkeye was usually "Clint" and Black Widow was usually "Natasha". Scarlet Witch was not called that until the end of WandaVision. Etc. But recently things have changed. The Hawkeye series actually names "Hawkeye" many times, as well as the "Ronin" figure briefly shown in Endgame. WandaVision finally established "Scarlet Witch" as mentioned. Black Widow was finally a movie, although it applied the name more to the overall corps of assassins. Plus, Falcon And The Winter Solider showed us Sam actually being called "Captain America" after officially taking the mantle. The recent post about screentime showed that Kate actually had more screen time than Clint in the Hawkeye series. So should she

The PERFECT Ending to the Marvel 616 Universe

I suppose this may qualify as fanart, but this is the ending I think should happen at the end of the road. Kang Dynasty/Secret Wars ends with our heroes, along with some multi-versal appearances from Cap and Iron Man, our new X-Men and Fantastic Four (who we find out are actually from a different multiverse with their own Avengers) finally defeat Kang or Galactus or whoever the final boss of the MCU is. The heroes all begin to return to their universes, and everything is restored. Then, God Loki appears to the "616" universe. He explains to everyone who he is now, and the insane responsibility he has. He lets them know that he can see so far down their timestream, and that they can all live in peace, the fighting is over. He reunites with Thor, offers him a seat with him in the place outside of time (calling it Yggdrasil). The film ends with Loki and Thor leaving, and all of the 616 Avengers happily retiring. The post-credit scene shows the X-Men and Fantastic Four ready

Anyone else get this vibe from GOTG3?

Let me start by saying GOTG3 might be my favorite of the trilogy (maybe GOTG1, I go back and forth on this), but the very beginning of the movie when they’re in Knowhere it just feels like I’m watching a movie set, not the suspended reality of GOTG’s headquarters. Whereas, when they’re in the ship, it feels like they’re in a ship. I’m not sure what the “movie magic” terminology is to sound more educated on this topic or why it is (camera angles? set design? scope of backdrop? Etc) but I’m just very aware that I’m watching a movie set in the first act. Anyone else get distracted by this when watching Knowhere scenes in GOTG3? And are their any movie buffs or film school types who can explain why that is/what contributes to that? submitted by /u/trustprior6899 [link] [comments]

Recently Ryan Reynolds confirmed Dogpool will appear in Deadpool 3 do you think the rest of the Deadpool Corps will appear or at least have cameos?

I wish they'd find a way to use the Marvel 2 Universe in the MCU

But, I'm afraid only comic fans would get it. Casuals would balk at it. I loved some J2, Spider-Girl, and American Dream in the late 90s. Maybe they could make cameos in Secret Wars or something. The thing I liked most were that each issue was it's own story with subplots that went over multiple issues. Kind of how comics used to be, before event after event after event. submitted by /u/RonMexico432 [link] [comments]
