Disappointed [SPOILER] and [SPOILER] didn’t have at least 1 full fight scene in Multiverse of Madness

Disappointed Wanda and Strange didn’t have at least 1 full fight scene in Multiverse of Madness. It’s just crazy to me to make Wanda the villain and only have her kind of face him twice, but neither of those times it was a full on fight. I was expecting something more along the lines of Strange in Infinity War, which was one of the key moments for Strange as a character overall. It was memorable and mind bending. It also bothered me how Strange just stands and looks while Wanda completely destroyed Kamar-Taj. Does anyone know why they wouldn’t do it? submitted by /u/ShrekProducer [link] [comments]

Gorr's sword grip (Thor: Love & Thunder Official Trailer)

Spoilers for the trailer, I guess.. Since watching the official trailer for Thor 4, I keep wondering one thing. Why is Gorr seemingly always holding his sword at the blade? It looks like that when he is ramming it into the ground, and also later when he is fighting Valkyrie. Is there something special to this from the comics? Is it a gimmick? Are they being funny and sorta implying this will be different CGI in the movie? Or is it like a motif thing, were he holds the blade so he immediately repents for fighting his crusade because his tribe religiously forbids violence? I would appreciate some input, thanks and have a gret time with all the movies/series you are currently watching! submitted by /u/StrangeWayfare [link] [comments]

scarlet witch throne?

MARVEL SPOILERS AHEAD! So my friend and I were discussing the latest marvel movies right and we started wondering whether there was a Scarlet Witch throne in every universe or just in 616 because she destroyed it and every Darkhold seemed to vanish along with it. Also is there one TVA for the whole multiverse? or does every universe have its own TVA? Are the timelines the same as the universes or are there multiple timelines per universe? We got stuck here because we see Loki returning to the TVA after Sylvie opened a portal at the end of time. But Mobius didn't recognize him. So either he got put back on a random timeline, or he got sent back in time to before he met Mobius. Which would make sense because the TVA is the quantum realm and they were at the end of time. We got stuck on so many questions, so please help us out! thanks submitted by /u/Missxunusual [link] [comments]

are the watchers good or bad?

In the bible they're fallen angels called satans and the chief of them is said to stay on the moon. Are they setting up earth to be tricked by appearing good first? Like I know Captain America works for hydra in recent comics...we see a lot of characters turn bad like doctor strange. submitted by /u/cyclopean888 [link] [comments]

Do you see what the multiverse means…👁 really?

Some people were disappointed that Wanda turned evil, or the Illuminati was so brief, or their favorite cameo died. Do you realize the potential of the multiverse means that: We will see Wanda and Scarlet Witch again. We could see 1000 different versions of the Illuminati. We might get the past X-men, another Professor X, plus alternate X-men actors. Captain America is still out there in alternate multiverse timelines. We may even get everyone’s favorite RDJ Iron Man again one day… A film needs to stand alone; although many watched What If?, Dr Strange 2 had to introduce and carry all those ideas and characters in its narrative. There is now so much potential and so many new stories and alternate characters possible for future films. I loved that the film added such a surprise of the Illuminati only to kill them all. It lets us know we will see others in those roles and is a fun thing to look forward to. submitted by /u/devoid0101 [link] [comments]

Do I need to watch Doctor Strange MoM before watching Ms. Marvel?

Yes, I still haven't seen it because of school and I'm not going to see it in the close future. I saw some spoilers where one character looked like Kamala or something, I don't know. Or are any spoilers for Ms. Marvel in MoM that are known from trailers? Please, I really want to enjoy it as much as I can submitted by /u/Quintusmortuus [link] [comments]

If/when Beta Ray Bill hits the MCU, who do you want to see him be voiced/play by?

We know it’s only a matter of time before this guy comes through (maybe will be seen by Thor:Love and Thunder). Personally I would love Idris Elba to voice him. I think he has a double edge voice that can be both rugged and badass to also a calmer more prestigious tone. That’s just my opinion, who would you like to be Ray? submitted by /u/SyrupNDToast [link] [comments]

Hello, I am working on a MCU poster project. I’m looking for high quality, high DPI textless posters. I found a few for free for CATWS, but the posters for the other films are on Alamy and Shutterstock and starting at $20 each for personal use. Captain Marvel

Ever since she was introduced I absolutely hated her. A random overpowered woman who gained her powers from an exploding engine and now thinks of herself as mightier than god. Are you kidding me? However, after watching MoM with Lashana Lynch portraying her I realised it's Brie Larson that drives me crazy. Now don't get me wrong I am supposed to be the target audience for a ''white powerful woman'' since I am one myself [don't have the sparky engine powers though, unfortunately]. Yet the actress seems so ingenuine as so ''high up her *ss''. Really wish we could keep Lashanna [whom as of now I absolutely stan] Just a random rant but am free to hear your points of view. submitted by /u/Specific-Environment [link] [comments]

Marvel cookie cutter

Recently I have seen multiverse of madness, morbius, and no way home, and despite the mixed reviews I have not personally enjoyed any of them tremendously. I was trying to determine why and wonder if anyone else feels marvel has a cookie cutter story that fits for all of those movies. In my mind each of these movies have what I would call artificial problems, where the problem is isolated to either a group of people or the problem only exists as a result of the movie itself. It kinda goes like this: Hero has personal problem Hero thinks they have solution to problem Hero does some act to solve their problem Enemy/ villain is created in process of solving problem Hero has to defeat villain Hero’s original problem does not get solved as the solution is undone from defeating villain Maybe I just find these films inconsequential as it feels like nothing really changes in the MCU whether or not the events of these films occur. Please share your thoughts as I’m interested in heari

Universe 838 - 616 =222

Dr. Strange is a Prick to Ironman

So Dr. Strange, went through 14 million timelines to find the 1 where the Avengers successed, and he lands on the one that kills Tony Stark. Yet Right there in the 838 Universe they successfully averted Thanos. Yet the only one to die... Was Steven Strange... so the way I see it... he found the 1 Universe where they win and he doesnt die, yet he sacrifices Ironman. Smh. Lol I know you are going to say that 838 was hidden from the Multiverse until the events of Loki, and I know you are going to say They didn't have blackbolt, Professor X or Reed Richards. sylvie is a cougar

sylvie says she’s been hunted by the tva before loki was even born. meaning she’s considerably older than him. hence she’s a cougar and now that i have your attention, lets discuss the ramifications of this statement in the context of how the multiverse works the writer of both loki and dr strange 2 said the multiverse works in the way that everything is happening, everywhere in the multiverse, all at once (like that one movie). or this is how the multiverse usually works and he who remains had added one rule about him not having variants sylvie can in fact exist “before” the mcu universe was even formed hence she could in fact be older than loki by billions of years having existed before the big bang of loki’s universe. because everything is always happening everywhere in the multiverse all at one across time. (like that one movie. you know the one. the one movie) this has certain implications across all multiverse related films such as endgame having a “time heist” but its actua

Who else would like a biopic focusing on Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's partnership in the early days of Marvel. Jake Johnson as Stan and Ben Foster as Jack.

Here's a look at the main players Anybody that has watched Minx knows Jake Johnson can play a slick smooth talking business guy. And if that's not enough he's played my favorite Peter Parker. As for Ben Foster, ) I don't have much to say. He's an incredible actor that can do just about anything. Plus he's close enough in age and looks. If you haven't seen 3:10 to Yuma, fix that. Either individual is great for their own movie. But one focusing on their relationship would be more compelling. Anybody interested in a great Jack Kirby biography should grab Kirby King of Comics. And if anyone knows of a great Stan biography, please let me know. submitted by /u/Tylor_with_an_o [link] [comments]

I've only watched most Marvel movies recently

And I can't believe Age of Ultron came out after The Winter Soldier. I just can't. Ultron feels like it was an alternate 2012 Avengers, Winter Soldier feels like a Modern MCU movie but with perfect everything and a satisfying grittiness to it. From Cap's hair to the general tone and humour, even Chris Evan's acting, Ultron just *feels* like it was made so many years prior. Do You think Marvel studios would ever make a movie/show set entirely in another universe?

I wonder if thats something casual fans would be able to grasp or not. Ill admit I think it would be really cool if Marvel made movies set in another universe that they designate as earth 1610, that way when they eventually do secret wars, we would get the true cross over between two cinematic universe that we would already know. INstead of introducing an earth 1610 that we may be seeing for the very first time during secret wars. I just don't know that people would be able to keep up with. We're already getting the daily posts in this subreddit of someone bitching that the MCU has too much content for the casual fan to keep up with submitted by /u/m_ashton9 [link] [comments]

Has any other MCU character that we've seen so far suffer as much as Thor has?

• Mother killed • Father dies • Jane leaves him • Forced to kill his sister he didn't even know he had • Asgard completely destroyed and roughly 80% of the population killed • Restrained, forced to watch Loki die right in front of him • The remaining Asgardians that didn't flee the ship, murdered in the explosion • Failed to kill Thanos • Went through a 5 year depression • Teaser trailer says he's done, wants to explore, doesn't have a plan, just wants to live his life • New trailer, Gorr says "lol nope" They might as well kill Korg in this movie. We know other characters have taken their fair share of hits but Thor just can't catch a break. submitted by /u/XzD71 [link] [comments]

Why are they marketing She-Hulk as some sort of sex symbol? Butt-reveal? Really?

Lets ignore the fact that she looks straight out of the Shrek series, and focus on the actual problem with "Girl Power!" in movies lately-- the first 15 seconds into a trailer and all we get is a butt-reveal. Then, not a minute into it, a literal QUOTE FROM THE TRAILER "Girl, your ass looks crazy right now!" a few random shots of "HULK POWER!" and then it just goes back to her swiping through Tinder and dating random guys as She-hulk but like... Why? Is it not possible to have a female superhero without forcing them into the "sexy bombshell" stereotype and have that be their entire character development? What woman actually feels represented by this? What father would be proud to take their daughter to see this? I know nothing about She-hulk other than "shes hot(?)" based on this trailer; so if someone has some insight I'd love to hear it. Edit: It sounds like everyone is wayyy too horny for Buff Shrek so I'll just lea

WandaVision ending and MoM spoilers

In Multiverse of Madness whenever Wanda dream walks she is surrounded by red glowing orbs that let's her look into different universes and she's usually levitating off the ground while doing it. And I just realized that at the end of WandaVision in the post credit scene Wanda is seen in her astral form levitating off the ground reading the darkhold while being surrounded by red glowing orbs. So what if Wanda was actually dream walking while she was studying the darkhold. And while she was dream walking that's when she learned about America Chavez and her powers. And the voices of Billy and Tommy that Wanda heard was her boys from another universe like the 838 universe for example. submitted by /u/Charcoal422 [link] [comments]

Where Kang will come from in the MCU and why Earth-616 doesn't have one already

Why there's no Kang in Earth-616 I'm not sure if this has already been talked about, but Earth 616 is currently unable to produce a Kang the Conqueror. It had a Kang variant (He Who Remains or "HWR") that created the sacred timeline, and who has kept Earth 616 more or less closed off from the multiverse....but not a Kang the Conqueror. Any potential deviations from the sacred timeline were shut down by the TVA, except now there is no HWR and no TVA to stop other Kang's from taking over. Incursions were also not an issue while HWR was still alive, because the prolonged exposure to the rest of the larger multiverse (regardless of if incursions are based on cross-universal interference, or the Beyonders) was not there. Where would Kang come from? If a universe lacks the prerequisite Reed Richards, it cannot produce a Nathaniel Richards (Kang). There were no Reed Richards anywhere on the sacred timeline, and the only one that we've met so far came from the Ea

Agent Venom in the MCU — a proposition

So, this obviously sidesteps the conversation of Agent Venom as a character in the SSU, though that could be another solid idea, if Flash from TAS became Agent Venom and Secret Wars shenanigans or whatever. My concept here changes Agent Venom in a way similar to how many characters are reimagined and/or combined for the MCU. Supposedly we’re not really getting many rated R movies, none beyond Deadpool afaik, so there’s a question about how certain character treatments will go. The MCU’s Venom not being R can work just fine for me, with him appearing in a mainline Spider-Man movie (ideally with Mac Gargan) and all, but there’s another character who an R rating is well-suited for.. unless he’s also placed in a movie where he’s not the sole focus. My proposition here is for the MCU’s Venom symbiote to wind up on Spider-Man turned Black Suit, Scorpion turned Venom, and — ultimately— Punisher turned Agent Venom. Now obviously I want to see Frank just be Frank for a while, but that’s exac

What are some of the craziest debates regarding the MCU you've ever had on Reddit?

I had one regarding out-of-universe reasons. So apparently some people were really upset that Wanda's actress, Elizabeth Olsen, called the Romani people "Gypsies" a few times. Even though this isn't a slur word or anything. To make things worse, Wanda was originally a Gypsy in the comics. And there was this one person who was dead set on proving that Olsen was being racist and so was the MCU, for whitewashing Scarlet Witch and her brother Pietro. That debate was really fun until they attacked me and my homeland. Nuff said. Any similar experiences you had? submitted by /u/Bruhmangoddman [link] [comments]

[Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness Spoiler]

bruh why was the cinema so dead when Reed Richards as Mr. Fantastic showed up?? I just watched MoM today with my Dad who is a huge marvel fan just like me. I remember watching Fantastic 4 (2005) at home when I was 4. There I first met Reed Richards and he was like the head of the team to me, he really was a significant part of Fantastic 4. However, I was very, very, very disappointed when only me and my Dad "wowed" at the part where Mr. Fantastic shows up, like meeting him even in another universe after so many years was a memory dive for me. I know he lived a very short life in MoM, but who knew when he first arrived. Like cmon man I expected the whole cinema to shout out of excitement but unfortunately, no one made the effort. Like why??? Wasn't this scene supposed to be special just like when Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire showed up in NWH? It literally showed that Marvel was trying to give a surprise as Mr. Fantastic came in a different way (He was not there when

What would you think if Marvel devoted half of its upcoming film slate to develop another universe?

Hear me out X-Men and fantastic four and defenders all sharing a universe separate from the 616 MCU as we know it. If this saga is centered around the Multiverse, and we are heading to a big Incursion, one Earth vs. another, what better reason to pit the Avengers vs. the X Men? Just like Civil War gave us two teams that fans had a history with and could root for, so would a Phase or two of films in this separate universe make the conflict between the two realities more personal, more visceral. Edit:. And of course the conflict would resolve with merging the two universes together sorry I left that out Also just a heads up. I was careful not to spoil any films or d+ shows in this post, but I imagine there may be comments discussing spoilers for recent Disney content. submitted by /u/pagingdrsolus [link] [comments]

Question of MoM (Dr Strange vs Evil Strange) Spoilers for Dr Strange Multiverse of Madness

Hello all! I recently saw MoM and I was left with a doubt. Wasn't Evil Strange at the end of MoM the same Strange we saw in What if....? If so how would Dr Strange have beat him? Evil Strange literally absorbed the powers of all the monsters of his universe so much so that he destroys his universe. I guess I am confused on the power levels. What are your reasons for not liking Lady Thor?

So I have been wondering, why people generally don’t like the character. The obvious signs are treating the name Thor like a title and not a name, as well as people generally not liking Jane foster as a character MCU or comics. The only issue I’ve had with her is power-scaling she doesn’t make sense and her feats seem to be out of thin air to me(it’s been a while since I read it), outside of that I’ve noticed that whenever I ask someone about it, the reaction I get from her is very much like the reaction Carol Danvers gets (MCU or comic wise). Please do not devalue all criticisms of the characters as works of incels, I’m legitimately trying to hear valid points on why people hate her. P.S. You saying that “It’S In ThE CoMicS” is not a valid answer in any discussion, there are BAD comics, quite a few. It doesn’t make the portrayal in any other form of media invincible against criticism. hops off of soap box submitted by /u/KyCooper [link] [comments]

Wanda's arc in Multiverse of Madness is very similar to that of a certain Agents of SHIELD character

I know that she's frequently compared to Doc Ock from Spider-Man 2 and Kingpin from Into the Spider-Verse, but I think she had even more things in common with Holden Radcliffe from Agents of SHIELD season 4: They were both corrupted by the Darkhold They both broke the rules driven by the love of someone they loved (kids for Wanda, Agnes for Radcliffe) They both got to spend a short peaceful time with them in a different reality (Hex for Wanda, Framework for Radcliffe) However, in that reality, people were brainwashed and seem to live very happy lives, when in reality, they were held hostages They both did the right thing in the end (Radcliffe helping agents to escape, Wanda destroying all the Darkholds) They both (at least seemingly) died at the end, accepting their fate submitted by /u/Caciulacdlac [link] [comments]

Anybody else here think the news about Marvel/Disney using Stan’s image in the new movies/media material is wildly fucked up? It just seems so disrespectful and uncalled for.

Am I the only one that’s kind of repulsed by that or am I alone in the world? Because this feels really gross. Like they’re trying to weekend at Bernie’s his image for a couple extra dollars. I’m writing extra stuff here because this post was removed because I didn’t have enough text lines for discussion content submitted by /u/Frankandbeans1974 [link] [comments]

Interesting for 616 Professor X (not Patrick Stewart)

I can just say as a disclaimer that having a different choice doesn't invalidate other choices for Professor X and I welcome all choices, if you just want to keep Patrick Stewart or James McAvoy that's fine. I want to invite people here to just give their personal choices rather than what's "right" or "wrong" because as individuals we all have their own takes. Try not to just get angry at people's choices, I think it will be interesting to just get people's takes on who they would like to see as Professor X for the main MCU "616" universe. My top two choices would be: Lance Reddick: I really think from his previous performances Lance is the perfect "616" variant for Charles Xavier. He's got that gravitas and screen presence similar to Patrick Stewart, he can play all the sides that Xavier has in the comics, from kind to dark. Ginacarlo Esposito: I think it would be fantastic for him to finally get to play the &quo

One hero I have been dying to see again.

Phase four has been pretty awesome so far, especially with the new characters who have gotten introduced. But honestly, out of every marvel character we’ve seen so far, and the ones we know are coming, I just can’t stop thinking about the next time we will see Shang-Chi. I don’t know what it is about the character but I absolutely love him and he’s starting to become my all time favorite of Strange, even after MoM. I’m hoping we get a cameo from him very soon. Such a great character. submitted by /u/De4thByTw1zzler [link] [comments]

they said we were getting six projects this year right?

So I recently heard we are getting guardians of the galaxy holiday special this Christmas but I remember that they said we were getting six projects this year ( moon knight, MoM, Ms marvel, love and thunder, she hulk , black panther 2) so now I'm questioning if we are getting it this Christmas or next Christmas? submitted by /u/yourusualnerdtom [link] [comments]

How do you think Ned and MJ (and maybe others?) will relearn Peter’s identity?

NWH’s ending implied that Peter at the very least thought straight-up telling them again who he was would restore their memories. Complicating the process of them relearning his identity would be pointless IMO, so let’s leave it at the person needing to know who Peter Parker is and that he’s Spider-Man. Now, how do you think this will actually go down? Peter already once decided not to tell them himself, so I think him going back on that would present him as a selfish puppeteer IMO. They’ve already got to address that Peter will have lied to them and changed their lives beyond their control. MJ’s vow was pretty conclusive narrative evidence that she’d figure things out herself, but with her now at MIT, the writers are tasking themselves not to make Peter’s world too small by having her conveniently reappear in his life so soon (and setting the whole of the next trilogy during the holidays wouldn’t work because we’d then never get Peter at ESU or wherever else he goes for uni) – we

How Ms Marvel could get her comic book powers

With the change in Ms Marvel's power set being disliked by alot of marvel fans I had an idea on how she could get her original powers Since Ms Marvel is going to have some connections to captain marvel I was thinking could her power bracelets have been made by the kree, If this is the case I think the bracelets could be powered by terrigen mist or crystals. I think in the 4th or 5th episode the bracelets could be destroyed and in the explosion the Terrigen released would give Kamala her original powers. I think this would make alot of the people who are upset with the power change be happy about the show submitted by /u/Scooby_ZP_07 [link] [comments]

What do you guys think of America Chavez

I thought she was a boring nothing character. I want to see if you guys think she was at all interesting or entertaining. I know somone who disagreed and thought that “she could get better” and “they’re setting something up” but in the actual movie she was boring and just a nothing character overall. They even said “well what do you expect she’s a new character” but tony stark, Peter Parker, Steve rodgers, etc we’re all new characters in their first movies but managed to be entertaining. A movie about Ned from Spider-Man would’ve probably been much more entertaining becuase Ned has actual characterization. submitted by /u/NewAccount479909632 [link] [comments]

Strange has an absurd amount of patience with time

Given the fact that he went out of his way to see 14,000,605 possible outcomes...that must have taken an absurdly miserable amount of time or at least felt that way to him, and he said in NWH he was hanging over the Grand Canyon for 12 hours..... I mean this poor guy has insane amount of patience when it comes to lengths of time! He went easy on Loki when he made him fall for half an hour haha submitted by /u/cinemajax [link] [comments]

Timelines vs. Multiverses

Tony Stark's space time GPS does not travel back in time within the same timeline but to a different timeline. Isn't that essentially a parallel universe aka Multiverse? Can someone explain the in-MCU logic to me please? Because if I remember my undergrad physics correctly, they are one and the same. Speaking of multiverses, I can't help but wonder whether we will see any with significantly different laws of physics appearing in MCU. Also, the name MCU itself may need to be changed now. Since it's not Marvel Cinematic Universe but Marvel Cinematic MULTI-verse. submitted by /u/KitharisApollon [link] [comments]

Wanda MoM strength level questions??

Just wanted to discuss Wanda’s strength level. I’m having trouble wrapping my mind around the fact that she could just just beat a lot of the hard hitting characters in marvel so easily. Clearly based on the movie she is strong enough to solo against captain marvel, Thor and other hard hitting characters. But I don’t know if what she’s shown us automatically means she’s coming out the winner. Against characters like Blue Marvel, Sentry or Odin, I don’t think her victory is guaranteed regardless of her ability to reality warp. Are characters that powerful like the ones I just mentioned not resistant to a reality warping scenario? I just don’t see her being able to turn these guys into silly string or play doh. If I’m wrong please correct me, but I just don’t think that’s possible. She can clearly do that to weaker characters with less resistance, but idk about characters like rune king Thor or blue marvel. Yes she has the offensive power to go toe to toe with them but an easy win just
