Why do you think marvel taking so long to introduce the fantastic 4 and x men?

I understand they only got the rights in 2019. But I think marvel would want to make the movies as soon as they could. Maybe they would want to wait with the x men but then shouldn’t they have even more of a focus on the ff? submitted by /u/Funny_name3090 [link] [comments]

Why are Chris Pratt and James Gunn all of a sudden dissing the Russo Brothers?

Plus it doesn’t really make sense what they’re talking about. For instance, Chris Pratt states how Quill wouldn’t have punched Thanos when learning about Gamora… but this absolutely fits his character. Considering he shot his father right after he found out about the tumor… yeah says a lot. I think they’re just upset that Quill is the main reason for the snap happening, how how Gunn’s character had to be the one to screw up the plan. Also Gunn states how Quill would’ve taken the shot without hesitation… when Quill does that. Sure Quill was bickering a bit but he still pulled the trigger. I just don’t get why after 4 years they’re all of a sudden hating on the Russo Brothers and their decisions on the GOTG. I can get some things such as just throwing away Drax’s Thanos arc but the things they have been talking about seems to be more on the petty side than actual criticism. submitted by /u/hushpolocaps69 [link] [comments]

In the comics, The Thing is well known for hosting a poker tournament with the rest of the Marvel superheroes. I think a scene like this would work well for a post-credits scene for the F4 movie or future Avengers movies.

Why wasn’t Eternals based on the Neil Gaiman & John Romita Jr. run?

This is not a gripe (I mean it is) but rather a very sincere question: why didn’t they use this story? In it, the Eternals don’t remember who they are. Mark Curry is an med student in residency at Bellevue’s ER when he’s approached one night by Ikaris who tells him he’s actually an immortal super being created by space gods and charged with protecting humanity, he’s just had his mind wiped. And the story goes from there as Ikaris tries to reawaken all the Eternals, stop the deviants, and solve the mystery of their mind wipe. This setup solves nearly all the plot holes created by the late introduction of the Eternals in the MCU. It explains why they sat out the battle of New York, Ultron, and Thanos, who they absolutely would’ve been aware of. It even explains why Thanos waited so long to get all the stones. “Now that the Eternals are out of commission, I can more easily acquire the stones without their interference.” And the THREE snaps on earth are a perfect explanation for thei

He tweets the following: I intentionally waited to watch the completed film until I was at the premiere surrounded by friends, family and fans. All I can say is WOW! I’m so blown away by what James has done. The movie is powerful, moving, hilarious, at times gut-wrenching - and an extraordinary testament to the creative vision and odd imagination of Hollywood’s brightest filmmaker. It’s not lost on me how fortunate we all are to be part of such a beloved story. Thank you! Your support over these ten years has allowed us to live our dreams. Why hasn't anyone tried to become a superhero?

More than a decade has passed since the superhero became popular in the cinema. And there were movies and animated series and comics before. And how many fans there are now - I can't count. Why haven't I heard a single story about someone in a suit saving people? I understand that reality is very different from movies, but still, where are all the big fans of superheroes who want to make the world a better place, help people and fight crime? Is everyone afraid of getting shot in the forehead? It is not necessary to resist the mafia, it is enough just to be a volunteer, to help after accidents or to scare away vandals. Of course, there are people who do it without a suit: policemen, firefighters, doctors and other people who help - they are also heroes. But even one person in a suit can change or even save someone's life. I would really like superheroes to appear in real life as well! "Anyone can be a hero. Even an ordinary person who just throws a jacket over the s

So remember 5 years ago everyone questioned why Thor was still playing Fornite in Endgame?

Yet it's still going strong 4 years on, seemingly (admittedly I've got this from Reddit as I don't play myself). Dabbing however isn't still a thing. But that fit in perfectly as far as I'm concerned with Smart Hulk Banner thinking he's down with the kids but instead being out of touch. Explanation with the kids dabbing? Simple, who's gonna tell the Hulk he's cringe and dated? submitted by /u/esn111 [link] [comments]

Thanos didn’t commit genocide

Genocide isn’t just when you kill a lot of people — it’s when you specifically target a national, ethnical, racial or religious group and you try to destroy them. Some argue that merely aiming to cripple a group is enough for genocide but the UN defines genocide as certain crimes against a group with the intent to cause their destruction. Thanos was actually trying to save humanity. His intent wasn’t destruction of a species it was to save them. And on top of that he didn’t target any national, ethnical, racial or religious group — people died randomly. He just committed mass murder. NOT genocide. submitted by /u/centralsouthsnack [link] [comments]

Even though the hulk is one of the most popular superheros of all time why did both the 2003 hulk movie and the 2008 incredible hulk movie not sell very well?

If we were to compare the 2008 incredible hulk movie to the other MCU movies it would the worst selling MCU movie with a box office of $264.8 million which is only slightly more than what the 2003 hulk made which is 245.4 million. Anyone else think the amount of trailers, teasers, clips, movie hints, ect is getting absurd?

I get that Marvel really likes to hype up their movies, but recently (especially with GotG) it has all been revealing way too much. Clips are supposed to be something you watch after seeing the movie to rewatch a particular moment. I’ve lost count of the number of teasers/trailers that have been dropping. James Gunn has even released the entire soundtrack and has revealed there is 2 after credit scenes. Sure, they haven’t straight up spoiled anything major, but by piecing together the plethora of little tidbits that we’ve been getting you remove some of the mystery. One of the biggest offenders is revealing who’s going to be in the upcoming movies. Some of the most hype moments seeing these movies day 1 is the cameos. “Just don’t watch them!” Well, it’s kind of everywhere. Any feed I’m on is littered with these minor spoilers. submitted by /u/Alleggsander [link] [comments]

My idea for Tales From The Blip!

My idea for a Tales from the Blip short inspired by a post earlier today. Probably too dark for MCU. After the blip a couple cons insurance agencies by taking advantage of the chaotic aftermath and stealing the identities of blipped loved ones. Getting richer off the misfortune of others, they weasel their way into becoming the owners of a massive luxury mansion. The owner was a single man who blipped. A few weeks after moving in they get visitor from the father of a young woman who disappeared in the remote area of the mansion a few months before the blip. Despite having no connection to the mansion or it's owner the father claims his daughters cell phone location revealed her last known location to be near there. Later the couple finds a secret passage in the mansion that finds a prison with a skeleton in it. They realize the old mansion owner was sick twisted fucker that kidnapped the young woman and held her captive in the secret chamber. When he blipped she starved to death

[Spider-Man: Far From Home] Why did Mysterio want to kill Nick Fury and Maria Hill in the first place?

Quentin Beck with his crew of other disgruntled ex-Stark Industries employees helped him with being Mysterio, with himself describing Nick Fury to William as the most paranoid and dangerous person on the planet along with him believing that he would kill him upon learning the truth, and saying he always had to die to Peter and the attempt to kill who he believed to be Fury with a Stark Industries Combat Drone which Soren disguised as Maria Hill foiled. He also wanted to kill Maria Hill as shown when he asked EDITH to execute the kill order on his command in London, so this makes you wonder why he wanted to kill them both in the first place? submitted by /u/BeanoTown-23 [link] [comments]

How would phase 1 of the MCU and the avengers look like if Marvel would have kept Edward Norton as Bruce Banner/Hulk instead of Mark Ruffalo?

In my opinion the transition from the 2008 hulk to the avengers hulk is very very weird. It almost looks like they were trying to completely start over with the hulk in the avengers and trying to forget all of what happened in the 2008 hulk flim. Hulk himself in the avengers looks smaller and weaker than he did compared to the 2008 hulk. I also noticed they were obviously trying to make the avengers Bruce Banner and the hulk not as dark as he was in 2008 and slightly more of a comedian. submitted by /u/zombiekjt [link] [comments]

I hope we get to see more villains like Adrian Toomes/Vulture in the future

Image
While I do appreciate the cosmic aspect of the MCU and hope we get to see characters like Molecule Man and others. I also appreciate that they used an everyday man as the villain, no "Taking over the world" no "Universe/multiverse at risk" kind of situation, just a man, who lost his job and needs a new way to get money. I can also understand why some might not want to see more of this, that it was just a one time thing and that's it. Now it doesn't have to bee Adrian again (Even tho I love Keaton, and his performance in the movie) but many of Spider-Man's villains does fit in here, and the MCU could fit someone like Sandman or Rhino to fight other characters, it just doesn't feel right. So yeah, more of these kind of villains, would be great https://preview.redd.it/dotjlrso8wva1.png?width=732&format=png&auto=webp&s=72e8cbaa3a880eb1f81c28c5ea29b732e588a487 submitted by /u/Hdhs1 [link] [comments]

Multiverse Phase 5

I leave the writing and story telling to Marvel and Fiege. I dont claim to think my idea is the right course of action. With that said: Would it have made sense if 1 of the annual release movies were from a different universe in phase 5? Or atleast a special a year that showcases a different universe with a slightly different team/ costume design. We can get more of the 838 team. The specials could be animated. It could be the other universe's first interactions with Kang that differ from Lang's. Kang could be interrupting different major battles throughout Avengers movies or solo movies, taking out threats. Etc etc. I just want to see snippets of the threat and battles to come without sacrificing 616 members. submitted by /u/Tricky-Wealth-6842 [link] [comments]

John Walker isn't as simple as a hero or villain

He is a common soldier who tries his best to uphold the legacy of Steve Rogers. He reacted naturally against the terrorist who murdered his best friend. Quantumania reminds me of The Dark World...

tl;dr -- it has the wrong plot for its characters (or the wrong characters for its plot) slightly longer tl;dr -- the need to give all five (well, not so much Hope) Lang/Pyms stuff to do, gets in the way of the "rebellion against Kang" story idea, but "rebellion against Kang" is a strange follow up to the personal, almost family drama, stylings of AM and AMatW (especially given Cassie and Kang literally have comics history to draw on that could easily fit an AM/AMatW style film) Full post below the line: Quantumania is a weird film, right? It's a story about stopping a time travelling bad guy where the bad guy doesn't time travel. Not even once. That's weird. Or maybe it's a story about a revolution against a foreign tyrant... which takes place almost entirely from the perspective of other foreign travellers. That is also weird. Neither Kang nor the Pym/Langs make sense in Quantumania. It's fundamentally weird that the story that Quantuma

Idea for a future Big Bad they could use in the movies

Okay so I think Mr. Sinister would be the perfect Big Bad for a future phase and I have this idea for how they could introduce him. I can see his first encounter being with Daisy Johnson aka Quake but for him to be a ghost from her past. Here's what I'm thinking Daisy and her team are out in space and discover a body floating not knowing who it is they retrieve it for what ever reason. Only when they retrieve it Daisy realizes it's Grant Ward's body and it stirs up a lot a of angry emotions while she's off collecting herself something odd starts happening and a corroner looking for signs of Hive instead finds a gem slowly emanating from Ward's head and as he attempts to extract it Ward's eyes open turned red and he kills the corroner and uses the tech in the lab to create a new outfit similar to Sinister's comic look. The power slowly goes off and it turns into a horror movie with Daisy trapped on the ship and her crew vanishing on her one by one. Unt

The Human Torch is Captain America?

I remember when people were confused how Chris Evan’s could’ve been cast as Captain America when he was already The Human Torch. When everyone was paused off that Ruffalo was playing Bruce Banner/Hulk instead of Edward Norton. When no one batted an eye that War Machine was recast with Don Cheadle. Jonathan Majors being replaced for Kang shouldn’t be that bad either. I hate that his actions have come to the choice or thought of him being recasted, but it’s been done before; let’s not forget William Hurt passing and Thunderbolt Ross being recasted with Harrison Ford. People who complain about casting and recasting are obviously big ol dummies. Whoever gets casted for Reed Richards (Adam Driver, Penn Badgley, John Krasinski to name a few rumors), will do great. That said, I’m rooting HARD for Jason Segel as Ben Grimm/The Thing. Would be nice to see. submitted by /u/ThatCheekyBastard [link] [comments]

Should Marvel move on from Kang?

Majors was great as Kang but he might be replaced. Kang and the related central storyline is already a mess right now. Here are some issues that I feel exist: Issue with the actor who was great in the role Oversaturation. Kang feels cheap when he is in a lot of movies. There's a reason why, even the biggest of villains, don't appear in this much media consecutively. The entire story and complexity and the fatigue of keeping up might be bad for general audience. And the box office is telling. Low stakes. In Loki, He Who Remains getting killed is understandable. He is the least villainous one and didn't fight back. But then Antman beats conquerer. The big thing about him is everytime you beat him in one movie, he will return as a variant. This only sounds good on paper. Quantumania was poorly received and also is ridden with plotholes and despite Majors making lemonade from lemons, he still feels like a "I am evil coz reasons". Doesn't do that well as a c

more crossovers, what's the point of having teams if they only come together every couple of years, I like the way thor and hulk did it in RAGNAROK...or at least make em side characters take experimental risks, like the way some of the a24 movies are like, especially w the mutants, I don't wanna see just a plane action movie for every character, some mcu can be more on the mystery side...or drama, etc. interact w civilians more, especially when it comes to political/religious topics, I'd like to see how regular humans think about these characters. don't kill villains off...a lot of em have potential for more films submitted by /u/we_are_ghetto [link] [comments]

What do you think is to be next for wandas character?

I see a lot of discussions and different ideas for what should be next for her. Some say she should be used as the power for creating battle world in secret wars, similar to that of molecule man. But then isn’t she too overpowered to be used as anything that isn’t a plot device? some already think she’s too OP but that can be explained through the darkhold and she can be nerfed by saying it’s been destroyed and honestly if they just buff some other characters she’s not that bad. Some others say she should stay a villain of some sorts as she’s gone too far while others just want her to be an avenger by now. Honestly I think I’d like to see her use these powers for good so that’s what I’m leaning towards. What do you think? Because I kinda see why people would think she can’t be redeemed. submitted by /u/Aksongsuwhsbs [link] [comments]

MARVEL - "Wake da ___ UP!"

Tired of lower ratings? Less than stellar Box Office? Remember exactly WHO and WHAT got you there in the first place!!!! The age group you were built on, Hero's and stories that you built on, and having 'name' (popular) heroes star! Look what you are putting out: Crappy uninteresting old and new characters, completely focusing on characters and stories that are weak and not gripping, to many Spiders, the Eternals... really? Having to wait years for any major characters with great stories! Where are the great Villain's? Doom, Sinister 6... Thanos was great, but please no more 'Space Baddies'! Man, it's not the same Marvel we grew up with... Stan would not be that happy. What do you guys really think? Put the fanboy hats away please. :) submitted by /u/cgarduc [link] [comments]

Deadpool 3 Hype Moments

Deadpool 3 is about to start filming. What Hyped Moments are you excited to see in the trailer/Movie? I just can’t wait for Nick Fury & Deadpool to curse each other out in a sequence. Samuel L. Jackson is gonna have alot of pent up profanities after babysitting Kamala💀😆 Also all the possibilities of Deadpool trolling iconic MCU moments across space Time. submitted by /u/adamAlexanderGreen [link] [comments]

Why did Tony create Hulkbuster 2 (MK48)

For the longest time I’ve wondered why would Tony build the Hulkbuster Mk 2 the one Bruce used during the battle of Wakanda. From a story perspective I understand using it as a substitute for Bruce, and supposed to be a way for bruce and Hulk to complete their arc in the infamous deleted scene. But from a in universe reason it doesn’t make sense. You could agree it’s because the previous one (Mk 44) was destroyed from by the plane crash in Homecoming which is stated to be aboard by Happy. He could easily repair it he’s done that a few times fixing damaged suits. If anything it seems wrong that Tony built a new suit to fight the Hulk when stated by Thor in Ragnork everyone thought he was dead. And in Age of Ultron Tony and Bruce built it together. So from a in universe reason why would he build it? submitted by /u/Prestigious-Let887 [link] [comments]

Introduction of mutants and other stories

I was just rewatching some movies and had a thought of how mutants can be introduce in the MCU. What if the cause of mutations on Earth was it being Ground Zero twice (once the snap and the other 5 years later). The Garden has no confirmed human life forms in it yet so no one’s affected. Maybe it was those but not all that got blipped got the mutations or those that we’re not (Kamala Khan was not blipped and confirmed mutant) or it was completely random and/or only a select few were turned mutants, much like how the Terrigen mist work transforming only those that has the Inhuman gene. A late introduction of mutants in the MCU could also mean younger X-men, but these may be unlikely because of Professor Xavier’s introduction in MoM. But a younger X-men means a young Ororo Munroe, possibly the same age as the new T’challa. submitted by /u/depressed-kun [link] [comments]

What Credit Scene Was The Most Underwhelming?

I don't mean credit scenes that became retroactively disappointing, like Mordo in Doctor Strange, or Joke ones like Captain America in Spider-Man Homecoming, I mean which credit scenes actually had you in the theater, (Or at home, if it's a Disney + show) where you thought "Well that was disappointing..." submitted by /u/namethatsnotused [link] [comments]

Minor dialogue Plot hole in Spider-Man: Homecoming

In the scene where Vulture is driving his daughter and Peter to Homecoming, Liz tells Peter that he got to hang out with Spider-Man while he was an intern at Stark Industries but after Liz leaves the car, Vulture asks Peter if Liz knows Peter is Spider-Man. Was this an improv by Michael Keaton or the scriptwriter made a stupid error? submitted by /u/malikindahood07 [link] [comments]

The first 2 avengers movies feel pretty different compared to a lot of the mcu

I was rewatching avengers 2012 and realized how different it feels to the rest of the mcu. It feels more comic booky and a little campy somehow? That's kind of what I really like about it though and really just find it interesting. Avengers age of ultron also has this more comic booky vibe to it. Any thoughts on this? Still some of the best and most iconic though. submitted by /u/TheIMaster64 [link] [comments]

The marvels concern

I don't want this to become another jústice league. Captain Marvel being too op like supes. Captain Marvel fighting her teammates like supes fought his team. Why is modern movies obsessed with showing characters like supes to be evil? Via mind control, misunderstandings etc. Example: eternals ikaris, the boys, invincible, bright burn, etc. Trailer s how's Carol fighting Kamala and Monica. Hope the marvels do something new instead of rehashing the same type of story again submitted by /u/HamsterUnfair6313 [link] [comments]

what's a fun cool MCU movie pitch you got in mind?

Tom's spiderman after the event of NWH faces against Agent Venom (won't have him be flash cuz he don't fit the look nor personality so just make him another character) and AV is like the Punisher to peter's DD this whole movie. people start to look up to AV since his more brutal methods cleans the streets up much faster. this brings out kingpin to come up w a plan and he hires a bunch of villains (scorpion, tombstone, etc) and AV and Peter team up to fight em. submitted by /u/we_are_ghetto [link] [comments]
