My idea for Tales From The Blip!
My idea for a Tales from the Blip short inspired by a post earlier today. Probably too dark for MCU.
After the blip a couple cons insurance agencies by taking advantage of the chaotic aftermath and stealing the identities of blipped loved ones. Getting richer off the misfortune of others, they weasel their way into becoming the owners of a massive luxury mansion. The owner was a single man who blipped. A few weeks after moving in they get visitor from the father of a young woman who disappeared in the remote area of the mansion a few months before the blip. Despite having no connection to the mansion or it's owner the father claims his daughters cell phone location revealed her last known location to be near there.
Later the couple finds a secret passage in the mansion that finds a prison with a skeleton in it. They realize the old mansion owner was sick twisted fucker that kidnapped the young woman and held her captive in the secret chamber. When he blipped she starved to death. The couple argue whether or not to tell the father of the young woman the truth. They realize the truth would lead to an investigation getting them arrested for lying and losing everything. They concoct a plan to fake a suicide note from the young girl to be "found" on the property, claiming that a lake near the house always looked beautiful and she decided to end it there.
As the husband of the couple meets up with the father to give him the suicide note the father begins poking holes in their ruse. Just as it seems the father is going to figure out they're lying, people start reappearing. The blip is reversed... and the husband realizes, his wife is left home alone with the psychopath...
It becomes a race against time for the father and husband to get back to the house to save the wife, as she has a game of cat and mouse with the recently returned psychopath through the mansion.
