Thanos snap doesn’t apply to trees??

Thanos used the power of the Infinity Gauntlet to erase half of all life in the universe with a snap of his fingers. Why didn’t half the trees vanish? submitted by /u/ShirtyManhole [link] [comments]

How was it decided upon that Don Cheadle/Rhodey wouldn't be blipped at the end of Infinity War? Was his inclusion in Endgame to make up for him being shortchanged in previous MCU films?

Why Deadpool is brought in by the TVA.

Image
After the events of Loki this is a completely rebuild TVA. Judge Renslayer is still on the run and has been replaced by a variant of……. Elizabeth Berkeley! She brings Wade in after he avenged her and saved her variant Jesse Spano at the end of DP2. She has decided if he has the heart and tenacity to do this, he must be capable of helping more. submitted by /u/Btwells1 [link] [comments]

A case for a multiverse Darwin

Image
His power is to adapt. What if he didn't die in First Class but actually adapted or evolved into a super being capable of surviving the destruction of his body. Now imagine if he got pruned. Would be cool to see Darwin in the Void in the Deadpool Wolverine movie. submitted by /u/Tongul [link] [comments]

With Punisher being in Daredevil: Born Again, will Frank’s prophecy come true about when he and Wilson meet again?

Image
Not even necessarily that one of them is killed, because I highly suspect that Frank will try killing Wilson only to lead to Matt saving his life at the last moment. The “walking” away could be literal, ie Wilson or Frank end up crippled by the end of their next encounter. submitted by /u/Steven8786 [link] [comments]

Roleplay

So, I was debating whether or not to post this here. I contacted the moderators and they said that I can. Role-playing and Role-Players get a bad reputation. And I would say, for the most part, they are actually quite warranted. Most on here don't care about the subject or the story really. I am not one of them and I am a huge fan of the MCU. I have been watching these films since I was a young one. I have gone to SDCC many times. And cosplayed as many characters and I've always been interested in role-playing as them. But, it's been hard to find partners who really care about the MCU and so here I am. I know for sure that is not the case for the users of this subreddit and that is something that I'm looking for. The possibilities for a MCU roleplay are as infinite as the scenarios Doctor Strange saw in Infiity War. There are so many things we could do. So many characters who we could play, and so many stories to be dived into. And I'm open to exploring anything.

Haven't seen anyone mention this, but maybe Wolverine is hiding in the Sacred Timeline after his universe was destroyed? Hence the headline in "She-Hulk: Attorney At Law"?

Folks, I've seen a lot of posts about how Marvel seems to be dying. Is it true that Marvel is about to fall completely?

I see that Marvel didn't really care about the quality of the films, which began to be released very often and very much. If they change tactics, is there any hope that Marvel will get much better? submitted by /u/Neither-Spell-626 [link] [comments]

The rivalry between Iron Man and Thanos was absolutely peak

The rivalry between MCU Iron Man and Thanos was truly a rivalry for the ages. One of the best in all fiction. Tony might not have known Thanos’ face or name until Infinity War, but the very concept of him led to PTSD that he never truly got over. This PTSD almost ruined his relationship and got him and Pepper killed. Then he created an AI that almost wiped out mankind dinosaur style trying to prevent his inevitable come back, which also partially led to the splitting of the Avengers. This split was a contributing factor to his defeat by Thanos’ hands and the death of someone he viewed as a son. Everything Tony did to prepare for Thanos was all for a drop of blood. Meanwhile, Thanos knew Tony stopped the 2012 invasion and thus saw him, a man in a can, as the greatest threat to his plans. Despite Thanos being an immensely powerful alien, the greatest threat to him was a mortal human with armor (if immensely powerful armor). They parallel each other in the fact that they both see thems

X Men 97 Continuity Questions

So I finally watched X Men 97 and in my opinion it is one of the best things Marvel ever created but I have a few questions about some continuity errors How does Morph know about Magik- How does Morph know about Magik if Illyana didn’t turn into Magik in X Men Tas. She was still a little girl. How is the Shiar allowing Deathbird to work for them- In episode 6 we see Death bird working for the Shiat which is confusing because in Season 4 Deathbird tried to overthrow Lilandra. submitted by /u/SoraMcu [link] [comments]

What would you have wanted from a Captain Marvel 3?

I would have introduced Rogue. Done the whole absorb power storyline while continuing the plot of Secret Invasion but on a grander scale. With Carol incapacitated and the bad Skrulls moving in. The stage would be set for an actual big screen adaptation of Secret Invasion that's faithful to the source material. Carol would have to work to befriend Rogue while dealing with the looming threat of the Skrulls while being powerless. Creating an interesting dynamic. submitted by /u/Zepanda66 [link] [comments]

FF Movie

I wish Dan Soder would have been cast as Reed. I doubt he was considered at all, but I think he could pull it off. Vision Quest Reportedly Starts Filming This October in the UK

Image
This is the second source to reveal this after Production Weekly broke the news 2 weeks ago. Production Weekly is a publication which lists upcoming productions in order for crew members to apply for jobs, and although they have made mistakes about production start dates before, they are usually pretty reliable. Scarlet Witch Updates is also a very reliable source who does a lot of individual research on copyright listings and other types of publicly available documents, but also has sources who usually sent her production grids. According to Production Weekly as well as other highly reliable sources like the trades, DanielRPK, Charles Murphy and CWGST, this looks to be Marvel Studios' upcoming filming schedule: Thunderbolts - Filming now in Atlanta Captain America: Brave New World - Reshoots start in late May in Atlanta Fantastic Four - Filming starts in July/August in the UK Spider-Man 4 - Filming starts in late September Vision Quest - Filming starts in October in t

Cloak and Dagger writing

I'm currently on the last episode of Cloak and Dagger season 1 and sort of enjoying it despite the awful writing. All Projects In Development At Marvel Studios, How Far They Are & The Likely Release Schedule For The Next 4 Years

With CinemaCon out of the way and the exciting footage Marvel Studios revealed from DP3 and Cap 4, we are now officially in the final stride towards SDCC (July 25th-28th) and D23 (August 9th-11th) where the studio will hopefully unveil the new and updated slates of Phases 5 and 6 after all the delays an structural changed at the company and in Hollywood as a whole, which have taken place since their last SDCC/D23 appearances in 2022. So, let's take a look at what Marvel Studios currently has in development and when it's supposed or expected to come out: Deadpool and Wolverine In Post-Production Releases on July 25th 2024 Agatha In Post-Production Releases in September 2024 and will run weekly till Halloween Eyes of Wakanda, Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man & What if...? Season 3 Head of Marvel TV, Animation and Streaming Brad Winderbaum revealed that both of these shows will be released in 2024 during the What if...? Season 2 premiere back in December.

The stones don’t exist anymore in the main universe

Everyone here saying “reduced to atoms, they still exist just in a different form” should hit the science book once more. If they were reduced to atoms, by definition they don’t exist anymore. By suggesting they still exist, you’re also suggesting implicitly that atoms can be crafted into stones, which would mean an infinite amount of stones can be crafted (as an infinite amount of atoms exist), so there is no particular need for the stones to be protected as The Ancient One said. EVEN if you meant to say that those atoms are somehow “special”, then you’d be suggesting those atoms are actually unknown elements in the periodic table. And even if that was cannon, you would STILL be able to synthesize them by moving neutrons/protons around, which Tony already did when synthesizing Paladium to power his suit without the toxic side-effect, so it’s possible. Therefore the only conclusion is they don’t exist in the main universe anymore. “Reduced to atoms” means “destroyed”; and there is

X-Men Discussion: What is everyone’s favorite series/portrayal /universe of the X-men thus far?

I hope everyone has been enjoying X-Men 97! It has got me thinking about other series/portrayals of the X-Men characters/stories and this definitely is up there for one of my favorites. I just rewatched Wolverine and the X-Men as well and I love that characterization too (although Cyclops is kind of really boring in that). Live action X-Men have always been solid/enjoyable viewings but this series has some lines and action that I absolutely adore. Magneto’s lines especially in X-Men 97 have been some of the most thought provoking and deep lines I have seen his character exude yet. In Episode 5 of ‘97, when he says “Save as many as you can, we will not live our days wondering if we could have saved more”… it absolutely gave me chills on my first viewing. What is everyone’s individual thoughts on top characterizations over the numerous shows and series we have been given? submitted by /u/Marquiss12 [link] [comments]

Falcon and the Winter Soldier logic..

This post is for fun, but pretty much sums up the series: ____________________________________________ Sharon: "Lol, Bucky you're such a pyschopath" Sharon like 10 minutes later: Blows someone's brains out for no apparent reason. Zemo: "Barnes, you are a programmed killer, also I am good and moral" Zemo for the entire series: Shoots multiple people through the head for *reasons*. Expects us to forget he murdered an innocent psychologist, was part of an elite death squad, blew up a building and wanted to destroy the Avengers. Sam: "Be careful, he's a crazy psychopath..." Also Sam: Shoots Sharon, kills multiple people, makes excuses for terrorists and gives them government secrets. Karli: "You never fought for a cause higher than yourself. I only kill people because I am sad my friend died and I could not be a teacher" Karli: Blows up a building and burns multiple innocent people to death, plans multiple other murders, kills

Any last minute predictions for any reveals at CinemaCon?

Needless to say they're going to save any big reveals for Comic Con, but I suspect that we may get an updated release schedule. There's no way that FF, Avengers 5, and Secret Wars make their current dates. My wildcard is a formal Shang-Chi 2 announcement if the rumor of it starting to film next March are accurate. submitted by /u/Shadowrocket0315 [link] [comments]

I'm beginning to see why some people don't like Iron Man 3

Image
You'd think he'd know his prototype wouldn't be ready for combat or he would've gone with one of his other 41 suits that WERE ready. He's supposed to be the one that thinks. Not to mention J.A.R.V.I.S., his sophisticated AI that knows Tony well enough that he makes decisions for Tony in the middle of a fight, should've known not to fly Tony out to Tennessee right after his home was demolished. I still like the movie though. submitted by /u/Hyena12760 [link] [comments]

Spider-Man: Homecoming - How did Peter get to the rooftop after the ferry fiasco?

I can't remember if it was shown in the movie. Did he take one of the rescue boats while wearing his suit? Did he swing his way out? Did Tony carry him to the rooftop? It might be possible because he knows exactly where he was when he flew in to give the talk. submitted by /u/TrollBond [link] [comments]

Does anyone remember She-Hulk’s movie that also predicted her show?

Issue #12 of the Sensational She-Hulk, titled “She-Hulk: the Movie” from 1990 is UNCANNILY similar to some recent events. This is a recap of the story: She-Hulk accidentally signed her movie rights away when she was the Savage She-Hulk, but agrees to join the movie production of a She-Hulk movie for a hefty fee. This reminded me of the Hulk’s rights situation with Universal. When she arrives at the movie set, she meets FROSHMAN : Fans Rescuing Superheroes From Movie Awfulness Now . They’re a bunch of fans upset at recent superhero movies because they’re awful but have HUGE budgets. The villain is the film studio head who is determined to make the film a financial failure. He says “After all, they actually thought a film about a super hero could make over two hundred million. Isn’t that the most absurd thing?” She-Hulk eventually releases the bad film. It was poorly received and she received a lot of hate, people even boycotted the movie. But at the very end she says she won’t join

Could the avengers have defeated Hela on Asgard without causing Ragnarok?

Image
It’s always glossed over that they caused the destruction of the entire PLANET to stop Hela. Like it’s a good thing that the population number on Asgard was so low that it was possible to just get everyone on ships and evacuate. If all this lore was on earth, that’s not even an option. We’re not destroying the planet as a path to victory lol. No way to evacuate millions of people and nowhere to go. Not to mention it would ruin everyone’s lives. In fact, most avengers movies are about preventing destruction on earth. So why didn’t they keep trying to attack Hela and stop her with their combined powers? Seems like they made a rash decision to just destroy the entire planet. Could they have defeated Hela if they kept fighting or brought in reinforcements? submitted by /u/newsworthy3 [link] [comments]

help me find a song from endgame

well it's not actually song, it's more of a motif. It appears twice on the movie. the first one when they enter the quantum tunnel for the first time and the scene from "new york" appears. the second one when hulk puts the glove. I checked the soundtrack for avengers endgame and found the second appareance... but not the first one. I thought maybe the reused the same one... but no. it's the same motif but they are different. Maybe they didn't include the first one on the score? help? thanks submitted by /u/CabinetJealous3926 [link] [comments]

Rankings (click to see breakdown)

Image
The Best: Consists of all the characters I, obviously, consider the best of all the MCU (+adjacent) properites. 5 of the OG 6 is in there, along with Quake, several villains, and members of the Black Panther, Captain America, and Thor movies. I like these characters because they are engaging through actions or through words. Ex: I like Ultron because of his quotes and philospphy. These are characters I would watch an entire move for. Good: Characters I enjoy more than most, but they often felt less independent. Their likability depended entirely on the way they interact with everyone else, or it simply lacked for me. Basic: As expected, characters I like but barely. Holland Spidey is very much on the border between this and Good rank. Meh: I don't care either way. Spider-Woman, Maria Hill, Quicksilver, and Dormammu. Dormammu looks like he will become more important, but his debut made him a very generic, boring villain. Bore: I would rather skip their scenes. Ego had a few

A flaw in the "causality"

Image
This may have been discussed already, but I was wondering about this statement from Vision during Civil War. If humanity's strength (as far as extraterrestrial hostiles are concerned) invites challenge, then why do we not see this rise in world-ending events from the conception of the nuclear bomb? After all, the bomb was the real final blow to the Chitauri invasion (slide 2) that conveniently ended all the aliens at once. If you ask me, its offensive capabilities seem greater than any single or joint threat the Avengers could pose to other alien civilisations at any one time. I know there's a lot to pick apart here, but I thought it was curious to find a potential flaw in Vision's logic here. I think what we see is the typical confusion between a causal and spurious correlation here. If it were true that strength => challenge => conflict, we would have been seeing a lot more in-world catastrophe c.1950s onwards. submitted by /u/gumption_11 [link] [c

What is the best MCU movie/tv show to watch right after ENDGAME?

Spider-man: Far From Home? WandaVision? Falcon and the Winter Soldier? Loki? Hawkeye? Black Widow? It feels like there are several projects that could serve as the epilogue/follow up to EG. Which project worked for you best? Which project would you reccomend to someone who just finished EG and wanted to know what to watch next? Are you eager to mourn Tony Stark's death? Or Sam's journey to become Captain America? Are you pissed about what happened and needed 2hrs of just her adventure? Or does what happened to Loki interest you more?
