Does anyone remember She-Hulk’s movie that also predicted her show?

Issue #12 of the Sensational She-Hulk, titled “She-Hulk: the Movie” from 1990 is UNCANNILY similar to some recent events. This is a recap of the story:

She-Hulk accidentally signed her movie rights away when she was the Savage She-Hulk, but agrees to join the movie production of a She-Hulk movie for a hefty fee. This reminded me of the Hulk’s rights situation with Universal.

When she arrives at the movie set, she meets FROSHMAN: Fans Rescuing Superheroes From Movie Awfulness Now. They’re a bunch of fans upset at recent superhero movies because they’re awful but have HUGE budgets.

The villain is the film studio head who is determined to make the film a financial failure. He says “After all, they actually thought a film about a super hero could make over two hundred million. Isn’t that the most absurd thing?”

She-Hulk eventually releases the bad film. It was poorly received and she received a lot of hate, people even boycotted the movie. But at the very end she says she won’t join the boycott because she won’t give up show business.

The entire story is just very similar to a lot of real-world events, especially the reception of She-Hulk’s show. This girl can’t catch a break in movies or tv, but her comics are some of the best out there. Check out a Sensational She-Hulk comic, they’re hilarious.
