Did Varra just... Die?

ATLA reference aside, I'm pretty sure she's implied to be dead. At the end of SI, Varra was brought off-world to work as a diplomat for Kree-Skrull peace negotiations. This plot thread is followed through in the marvels where said negotiations fall through and result in all but the baker's dozen skrulls the Carol Corps could getting offed. Varra was nowhere to be seen in the group or anywhere in the movie for that matter. (Just goes to show the fact that this was originally intended to release before secret invasion but let's not get into that.). You'd think Fury would mourn or have literally any reaction to the news that his wife died. I know the guy's a professional, but this seems like it would be a big deal to him. submitted by /u/Pietin11 [link] [comments]

Few questions about MCU time travel

1: In Endgame, they establish that you can't time travel within the same universe, that time traveling simply creates a new universe, so does that mean every time someone travels time in Endgame, trillions of new lives are created in an instant due to a new time line being made? So can a time traveller just technically become a God, creating new universes full of life whenever they want by travelling to different times to make new timelines? 2: Endgame establishes Back to the Future time travel rules as bullshit, but Loki season 2 straight up uses Back to the Future time travel rules, completely contradicting Endgame, so what gives? I enjoyed Endgame's version of time travel because it avoids the time travel paradox, but then they just introduce Back to the Future time travel anyway? submitted by /u/loathsomefartenjoyer [link] [comments]

2 years ago on this day, I watched “Eternals” in IMAX Xenon 3D. How was your experience with it in IMAX?

Image
Watched it in IMAX 3D at my favorite venue as usual: Krungsri IMAX Paragon at Paragon Cineplex in Bangkok, Thailand. Well, it was a totally different and highly distinctive superhero flick. The way Chloé Zhao used natural light and capturing those stunning landscapes alone made it standout from other MCU movies. However, it felt rushed even though the pacing was slow. She tried really hard to get us immersed there with those characters. The problem was how each character was treated. Some of them didn't have enough screen time, not mentioning that they didn't really showcase those abilities each of them had that much. Still, Chloé Zhao breathed a new life into the MCU with the brutal and cruelty of mankind that still continued for ages. This drama and tragic sides of the true world shone brightly in this movie. It gave you something to think about of how can we be perfectly civilized after all those dreadful events that was shown in the movie. For the IMAX 3D aspect, th

The Marvels - Quick Re-write

Start the film 20-something years ago with a crazy Bond-like opening set piece (think the Casino Royal Madagascar parkour/embassy sequence but in space) that includes Captain Marvel destroying the Supreme intelligence in a thrillingly brutal and bombastic fight sequence on Hala (don’t reveal the aftermath/consequences yet)… We really needed to be shown how Carol destroying the supreme intelligence was a major event, the story hinges on this. Cap off the prologue 20-something years later with the Kree finding the Quantum band. Change Dar-Benn’s name to ‘Hala the Accuser’ - Her title as the ruler and self-proclaimed saviour of Hala, she’s a big fucking deal. Hala the Accuser is the daughter of Ronan the Accuser. This pays off Ronan’s unresolved role in the first film but more importantly gives her a more interesting history, context and motivation (instead of just being a random Kree who we know nothing about). Mid 2nd act: Hala the Accuser reveals what happened after the

Why are people excited about Fantastic Four buy consider Blade and Armour Wars dead on arrival?

All 3 of these movies were announced on the same presentation, they all don't have a cast, script, or director. In fact, Blade and Armour Wars have a sure lead actor, whereas we're still speculating about the 4 leads of F4. So why do people have higher hopes for Fantastic Four? submitted by /u/MrDoom4e5 [link] [comments]

Jon Goldstein & John Francis Daley are the best choice for directing the next Avengers movie(s), don't @ me

For those unaware, these two directed Game Night and Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, both of which are underrated bops. They balance comedy, action, and heart with diverse ensemble casts immaculately. Marvel, throw money at these two and get them on board. PART 5: a love for metaphors If Ego had been lying about Peter’s powers (see part 4 ), it is still unclear what that light actually is. At first glance it appears to be a metaphor for celestial power. However, Ego’s other children despite having Ego’s genes did not have the Light. Ego definitely rule that out. Only Peter had! Luckily, Ego also gave a short history lesson about himself and with that, unintentional, give away more than he intended. While explaining his origins, he starts with “First thing I remember is flickering, adrift in the cosmos…". The “flickering” sounds a lot like pulsation that neurons do. Not surprisingly, because he shows himself as a floating brain, the brain as a part of the central nervous system. Now, “adrift in the cosmos” , that sounds like Wong’s explanation on the Infinity Stones in the Infinity War. “The Big Bang sent six elemental crystals, hurtling across the virgin universe”. So we have a Celestial adrift in the cosmos and then infin

Does America Chavez cause incursions?

I just rewatched MoM and it got me wondering, since incursions apparently happens when someone travels to another universe. America having the power to do so has probably traveled to countless universes, does it mean every universe she went to got destroyed? I know Wanda is supposed to be the main villain, but she’s got a point that America is too dangerous then. submitted by /u/1tsYourBoyRoy [link] [comments]

Do you think He Who Remains knew Loki will destroy The Temporal Loom in season 2 finale?

Lets say this like when Loki had a conversation with HWR about how to fix The Temporal Loom, He Who Remains say to Loki the Loom is safe passage, we all know Sylvie in season 1 killed He Who Remains he saids to them “you kill me, all my variants will start a mulitverser war will happened”, so in season 2 Loki decided to destroy The Temporal Loom and rebuild a new. Did Loki walked into a trap, my theory around end of Kang Dynasty, Avengers are like suffering, than Loki will join the fight and Loki will be in Secret Wars in the most of the movie. What’s your thoughts on this theory? submitted by /u/FleetwoodMac26 [link] [comments]

Why did Rhodey have an Iron Patriot suit on at the end of Endgame?

I know there was something about him having an entirely different Mk 6 suit in the movie that was bulkier, but I'm not sure if the Iron Patriot suit had anything to do with it. In all the trailers and toys, they showed a gray and black version of the Iron Patriot suit. Is there a real-world explanation for this, or is there an in-universe reason for why he had this prototype suit? submitted by /u/IronPlague27 [link] [comments]

Why do these things in this show spaghetify when this object breaks?

Surely at some point the TVA didn't exist. So surely before that point the loom didn't exist. If that's the case then how did time exist back then? As it seems in the show that when the loom breaks all the timelines start to die? submitted by /u/MinMorts [link] [comments]

Tesseract Energy

First wasn’t sure which spoiler to add. Also not sure if this has been discussed already so here goes. I recently re-watched Captain America: First Avenger. It was exciting to watch again. The part where Red Skull essentially disappears got me thinking of his reappearance in Infinity War and End Game. If the energy essentially took him to another planet, is there a chance that the other people who were “vaporised” by the weapons created from the Tesseract energy are alive somewhere? Just a thought. Sorry if it’s a dumb question. submitted by /u/SaleOwn5899 [link] [comments]

Fan theory LOKI & CLASSIC LOKI

Old loki or classic loki is the same loki guarding the time tree. Hear me out His reason for getting "caught" by the TVA was that he got LONLEY. Remote planet where no one found him? I think he was at the end of time. Only place you can guarantee no one is there. Now my biggest hint I think is... "GLORIOUS PURPOSE" it was so Suttle we almost missed it. But the glorious purpose was also used to describe classic lokis purposes My theory is it's kinda like Kangs Time Loop. Old loki had to help himself step into power. (Having knowledge of the timelines would give him knowledge of the war to make up the fake scenario that he was able to 'trick thanos') submitted by /u/theauditgamer [link] [comments]

Where is the TVA located? I think it may be the anti-quantum realm, like a macro-verse

Some spoilers for Loki season 2 ahead. So in season 1, a lot of people theorized the TVA was in the quantum realm, but after season 2, I think it could be the opposite. The quantum realm has all kinds of side effects like time travel and other spacial anomalies going on. I think you could argue a macro realm would have odd spacial behaviors too and cause a breakdown of physics. When Loki steps out on the gangway to approach the loom, he destroys it and the branches spread out everywhere and die. He’s holding entire timelines in his hands and on his cape by the series end, so maybe in the same way that Ant-Man can get so tiny, you’d be physically unable to see him, Loki and the TVA are in a dimension so massive it also can’t be perceived. When stepping through a door created by the TVA, you’re not just traveling in time and space, but through perceivable dimensions. Any other thoughts on where the TVA actually exists in the MCU? submitted by /u/BonesAndBlues [link] [comments

The Marvels could have benefited from an extra 10-20 minutes

The Marvels is firmly middle of the pack for post endgame MCU films imo. I liked it much more than I expected, but there are 2 main things that could have elevated it further for me. 1: Darbin and Captain Marvel. She's your typical one-note villain, but there was a huge missed opportunity. During the fight when she gets impaled, there's a half hearted attempt at a heart-to-heart with her...and this would have been more impactful if we had taken a moment earlier in the film to give her some backstory development. Her and Vers could have known eachother on Halla prior to the first Captain Marvel film. We should have established that they once had a friendship, before all the problems. This would have doubled in giving Brie Larson some more needed screentime in her own movie. The movie even has a mechanism for revisiting memories that could have been used to facilitate this. Which could have further added to tension if Kamala and Monica had discovered via the memory device Car

It's not 'toxic' to point out that Marvel is in a mess – if anything, it should be pointed out.

Don't get me wrong, I have no issues with people liking a movie, even a financially unsuccessful one. As somebody who ranks Eternals on their all-time list (for MCU movies), I can attest to that. But what I won't do is pretend that it wasn't a failure, or that said failure was not one of the several marks against Marvel over the last two years that has resulted in The Marvels being on track to gross less than Morbius. What I liked about Eternals largely came down to things that ironically got it rejected by the general public, such as the philosophical premise or the more intimate storytelling. Maybe a sequel can find the right promise, but therein lies the problem – the chances of there being one are slim, and perhaps rightfully so. A common debate within the pro wrestling fandom is whether statistics like TV ratings, merchandise sales or live show attendance should matter to us as consumers, given that we're unlikely to have a financial stake involved. I'm not b

Loki as a franchise element (no spoilers)

It’s incredibly impressive to me that post IW they managed to bring Loki back and tell such an interesting, weird, and compelling story with a character who had died. And not just that, but to be so contained that it can be watched and understood almost fully without having seen prior projects AND has enormous consequences for the rest of the franchise moving forward without relying on other established characters crossing over. As a component of the larger franchise, these two seasons couldn’t have succeeded more in terms of storytelling in my opinion, both on its own and as a solo project adjacent to the main saga submitted by /u/Comprehensive_Yak_72 [link] [comments]

Disney are making a massive mistake by not fast tracking a sequel to Shang Chi

Its just baffling how we haven't really heard anything recently about a sequel to a 2 year old movie which was received well by both the audience and critics ,A 92% critic score and a 98% audience score shows its one of the most liked projects since endgame especially when you realise how movies for more established characters like Thor,Ant Man ,Captain Marvel have at best been average ,Keeping character away from the screen for a long time like 5 years since their debut is how audience loses interest submitted by /u/Far-Pineapple7113 [link] [comments]

As someone posted out and has helped me with my initial finding the clocks are indicating the countdown by the times displayed. How I think marvel could make Doom the villain of secret wars without it being rushed or diminishing Kang.

They can if they start introducing him in to as much as many projects as possible. •Let every movie/show post credit tease him in some way, •Let him have a major sizeable role in fantastic four not the villain but still an important role exploring all the relationships he has with the team. •Make a book of doom movie/special presentation/show before Kang dynasty about his origins and history(with Kang showing up from time to time) It is possible if they free up space by removing shows like wonder man and vision quest. •They should establish a proper relationship between Kang and doom. I recommend them using doctor doom (2019-2020) run it perfectly captures doom’s character and his relationship with Kang. •Speaking of which delay Kang dynasty and split secret wars into two parts and delay them as well. •Have him play a vital role in Kang dynasty but not the villain. The villain will still be Kang it’s his story. •Let him be a big part of DS3, WWH, the rumoured illuminati show, a
