Scenario's where Marvel can introduce Tony Masters.

After Cap 2, Masters is desperate for a decent job, not being able to join the CIA because the public thinks he is in HYDRA. Hill approaches him with a experiment to replicate Captain America's super serum, Bucky shows up and tries to stop the experiment. The Lab explodes and he does not remember his wife, his name, or his previous life, he goes on a rampage killing anyone who tries to stop him. Works for Bishop Securities, General Ross convinces him to help in a project that is supposed to," Suppress Mutants" The experiment is really to give him the fighting styles of the Avengers so he can eliminate Mutants before Professor X. " Adopts " them. Maybe Dreykov had a second Taskmaster in case in Antonia was compromissed submitted by /u/Huge-Scene6139 [link] [comments]

Another thing which does not make sense in Captain Marvel

So, we basically get to see a scene where a lot of big kree space ships are very near earth, and even atack it, but yet somehow no goverment on earth seems to have noticed it. I mean, it was in the 90s, they should have noticed them almost immediatly submitted by /u/Orange_Mandalorian [link] [comments]

My Review on Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings

Unlike Eternals, Shang-Chi was a fantastic movie managing to get seal approval since the beginning of the movie, the characters and their arcs were very well written especially Shang’s friend dynamic with Katy, the sister brother dynamic with Xialing, and the father son dynamic with Wenwu, and they did an amazing job with the casting and production, that managed to give the movie a comedic tone while also mating dark/serious undertones, I also like how they had Klev the guy from Spider-Man: Homecoming appear along with Trevor Slattery who actually played a small role in the film as well as one of the former Black Widows and an Extremis soldier pop up, and the scenes were very climatic especially the final battle scene and the ending with Wong had me freaking out (in a good way) and the post credit scene as well with Captain Marvel and Bruce Banner, but also as a side note I think that Wenwu could’ve had the potential to be redeemed (again) despite all the evil things he did, I also th

Would You Accept Edited Version of the Netflix Shows on Disney+ w/ Unedited Versions on Hulu?

Given that the Netflix shows (Daredevil, Punisher, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Defenders) will eventually land somewhere, we know that the content is a little rough for Disney+. You know, like the Kingpin slamming someone's head in a car door, The Punisher using someone's face to break the glass on the merry-go-round, or Luke Cage and Jessica Jones doing the nasty with reckless abandon. Stuff like that. Would you approve if they released toned-down versions on Disney+ with the contingency that the full, unedited versions with all the gore and banging were on Hulu? This way a younger audience could get an understanding of these characters without all the table shaking. submitted by /u/dtswinga [link] [comments]

A thought on MoM...

There has been a lot of speculation on if the House of M storyline will be used. After watching a breakdown of the new trailer I had a new thought. What is by realizing that she cant really have her kids and the world the way she wants it. Instead of speaking the "No more mutants" line it becomes "No More Multi-verse" That would create a situation where all regained characters are brought back under the MCU canon... Just a thought. submitted by /u/pnewsome [link] [comments]

Do I need to watch the Spider-Man movies?

So like the title says, do I need to watch the Spider-Man movies? I have Disney plus and I’m working my way through all the marvel movies before the newest one comes out. And I just finished guardians of the galaxy two and wanted to know if I need to watch Spider-Man homecoming before Thor ragnarok? If so I would have to rent it or purchase it else where. Captain Marvel was a remake of Short Term 12

Okay somewhat exaggerated. But Brie Larson plays a young woman with (it seems at first) a confident, centered attitude. But then circumstances change and she is rocked by doubts due to the reemergence of long-concealed wounds in her psyche. Turns out there was some trauma in her past, and she retreats into a quiet, child-like state. But she finds the strength to confront a symbolic version of her abuser, gets her power back and there is a cathartic scene where she smashes up a vehicle. Seriously though I just saw Short Term 12 (it's incredibly good by the way) for the first time and was really struck by the kind of moods that Brie Larson projected and the way they echoed some of the ways she portrays Carol, particular when she begins to realise that she's from Earth. submitted by /u/disgustinglamp [link] [comments]

Finally saw Spider-Man No Way Home

I’ve been super busy with university and work and have been trying to save money. But yesterday I just said fuck it I gotta see this movie before it leaves theatres and I’m glad I did. It definitely lived up to the hype. When I was younger I was a huge fan of the Tobey Maguire movies and so seeing him again was awesome. I loved what they did with the villains. The ending was well done and I’d assume unexpected for anyone who didn’t get it spoiled (unlike me lol). I would say my only complaints was that it was a bit slow in the the first 20ish minutes. But once it picked up it didn’t stop. And Doctor Strange felt a bit off in this movie can’t figure out what exactly felt different about him yet. Overall not in my top 5 favourite mcu movies but, it was definitely worth the watch! submitted by /u/Kyrarahel [link] [comments]

Eternals scene messed me up

I am a man in my mind 30s and I know that when characters die on screen, usually no one is really hurt. However I have a trigger when a character is fighting in futility against what kills them. It happened in Saving Private Ryan, and it happened in The Eternals. The scene in Druig's village where Gilgamesh died, just thinking about it affects me so much. Even the scene at the end where Thena nearly died but kills Kro holds zero catharsis for me. I have been told that talking about it helps make the feeling not so intense. submitted by /u/bullsaint [link] [comments]

This is an unused cap design from Captain America: Winter Soldier made by Ryan Meinerding! It was going to be an update to the Avengers suit, but it never went beyond concept. If he went to the trouble of making an "updated" version, it presumably means he wasn't satisfied with the design of The Avengers, or didn't let him use all the ideas he had during production. Remembering that the pre-production of Winter Soldier was around 2012, the year that released The Avengers. Not to mention that this "updated" design adheres to various aspects of the alternative design produced by another member responsible for the conceptual design, Charlie Wen. https://preview.redd.it/s4hrmmk7mtj81.jpg?width=1242&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7dcce3925752e905eafa2292ca3a03b2d8418e39 https://preview.redd.it/d3w9tjzdmtj81.jpg?width=563&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2cfb6158e2009d24361d94b79496df585ca3f122 submitted by /u/Intelligent-Help-924 [link]

Do you think the Osborns should be in the next MCU Spiderman Trilogy?

So today I wanted to ask, with Dafoes Green Goblin appearing on NWH, and doing s fantastic job yet again I may add, do you think the MCU should introduce its own version of Norman and Harry Osborn in the MCU, or should it go in a different direction with Roderick Kingsley Hobgoblin, or Spencer and Allistar Smythe? Personally, I'm conflicted, on the one hand I'd love to see the MCU introduce its own version of Norman Osborn, because it be interesting to see how Peter interacts with his own universes Norman, maybe Peter tries to stop him from going down an evil path only for him to end up there anyways, or accidentally speed up his road to becoming Green Goblin, not to mention it be cool to see how the differentiate him from Dafoe. Also seeing Peter meet Harry Osborn would be interesting to see. But on the other hand, The Osborns have only already been done to death in the other films and so much other Spiderman media to the point where I would understand it, if they choose to

MCU's Muddy Morality

While the superhero genre is filled to the brim with morally grey/questionable characters, the MCU seems to excel in that. Not to mention its recent predilection for pushing these murky, grey characters as the new heroic figures. And a question immediately arises: Isn't that problematic? I'm sure you're all familiar with the cases of US Agent, Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, Loki and Spider-Man. These characters have received a LOT of criticism from the fanbase over the last two years. Some of them were accused of being irresponsible and hot-headed, others were implied to have had legitimately malicious intentions. And to an extent, the fans were right. They pointed out the shortcomings of the heroic wave with great accuracy. Not only that, it was quickly noticed how movies/shows themselves seem to gloss over the characters' mistakes. How easy it is for Wanda to fly away scot-free and suffer no harm. How Peter is still a hero despite not being fit for that mantle. How Clint,

My Moon Knight Villain Spin-Off Ideas…

Stained Glass Scarlet - First act we see her origins as she grew into a women and mom, becoming A nun, murdering her son in her church, and her decision to start to go after the crime bosses that were responsible for everything. In the second act she takes on the crossbow and goes on the hunt, slowly killing and investigating till she finds the names of the men who recruited her son into illegal activities. Maybe even add in a cameo of Moon Knight trying to stop her, but failing. In the third act she would kill the men, and die in a shootout against the police. Morpheus - Robert Markham is dealing with sleep orders that stop him from living a normal life, he consults a doctor named Peter Alraune (or someone else depending how/if they introduce Marlene before hand), in the first act. By the end of the first act we see that Peter has discovered a way to cure Robert, but the experiment ends in Robert turning into the monster known as Morpheus, with the power of Ebon energy and no need f

If there's one thing I want to see in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, is that I want the team together.

Their team dynamic in the first movie is outstanding, but they've been split up ever since. They separated in Vol. 2 and only reunite by the end, and they do it again in Infinity War. Rocket and Nebula were together for a bit in Endgame but then separate when the Time Heist starts. I want they to team up for most of the 3rd movie and the Holiday Special, especially since James Gunn said it would be the end of his version of the series. Having Peter Quill, Drax, Rocket, Groot, Mantis and Nebula constantly bouncing off each other would be quite the delight. The biggest problem with this, however, is Gamora, since she's not the same one that shared a bond with the team before. They're essentially re-learning about her again and it would take some time for her to get accustomed to the team. What do you think? submitted by /u/Inevitable_Golf_1816 [link] [comments]

Apparently, VoD for No Way Home isn't coming the 28th

Sony still haven't release anything about the VoD that should supposed to come out in a week from now. Also both Apple TV Preorder and itune preorder have the date 22 March as a release date, so exactly a month from now. Is no one gonna talk about the fact that Cap was ready to go against an alien army and a genocidal raisin with a broken shield and magic hammer?

In Endgame, right before everyone starts coming through the portals, Cap looks ready as hell to straight up charge Thanos and his army all by himself. Look up the portal scene if you really want to see what I'm talking about Steve lost his mother and his father, was bullied, was rejected several times from the army, bullied once he got in, when he became a Super Soldier he was forced to go on a tour all around America, found out his best friend was missing, and could possibly be dead, then after he rescued him, Bucky "died", he went in the ice for 70 years, woke up, everyone he knew was dead, Peggy was really old, had to fight an alien army in New York, found out that his best friend was alive and working for hydra, had to fight him a few times, had to fight a genocidal AI who spend a minute on the internet and decided to destroy humanity, had to attend Peggy's funeral, refused to sign the Sokovia accords and became a criminal, had to help his best friend after

Your opinion on Netflix - MCU?

I think until this day there isnt a clear clarification that the Netflix shows are indeed part of the MCU. I wish it was bc Daredevil is a goddamn masterpiece and even Jessica Jones season 1 is alright. The pros: -Marketing. Avengers tower is shown in some of the posters in the shows . Or Here . -Thor and Iron Man are mentioned indirectly by Wesley in Daredevil S1. -The alien invasion in 2012 is referenced by the Bulletim in all seasons. Hulk vs Abomination in Harlem is too referenced. -The NYC destruction by the aliens fills up one of plots in Jessica Jones s1 as one of the characters saw her mother die during the invasion. Also a Captain America toy is shown in s2 . -Charlie Cox and Vicent D´onofrio are indeed back to their roles. The cons: -In some shots of the series, the Metalife building is shown , wheres in the MCU he doesnt even exist. Its the Avengers Tower. -Kingpin in Hawkeye looks a totally different character from his Netflix appearance. More comic-book styl

Is it safe to say Captain Marvel is liked overall?

I personally liked Captain Marvel because I like Brie Larson as an actress, and I also like the character Carol Danvers; I think her character will only continue to blossom despite some people wanting her character to fail. Most people I talk to say they liked the movie, and if you look at the reviews, it's generally reviewed as well above average, with a 79% score on RT; I do believe people intentionally disliked it as well for reasons I won't get into in the post. Basically I am asking this: Most people here and in general like the film overall right? I understand there are certain flaws in it, but most people I talk to enjoyed it and didn't see it as bad; if anything, they said that it was maybe a weaker Marvel film, but still good overall. If you didn't like it, no worries, but I feel like the outrage Youtube channels(who probably didn't even see it) don't represent how people/fans felt about the film. submitted by /u/AromaticTangerine254 [link]

Perhaps a silly question: What would you think of Jason Derulo as Brother Voodoo/Doctor Voodoo (Jericho Drumm) in the MCU? Alternatively, who do you think could play the character instead?

Plot theory for next big MCU phase..

So with No Way Home and Dr Strange properly opening up the multiverse and the illuminati being teased in the latest Dr Strange trailer I suspect that Planet Hulk/World War Hulk will be this phases Infinity War/Endgame double movie. The next slew of films will bring properties and characters from the x-men and F4 universe into the MCU proper and will culminate with them all being dragged into World War Hulk for a big fight/showdown. They can change the key characters from the comic version obviously but it would be awesome to see a MCU version of Sentry appear and given how he had the power in the comics to make people forget he exists it's an easy in for him to show up. Just my 2 cents/hope for what's to come. submitted by /u/Joyfulcheese [link] [comments]

What could have been Iron Man 2 and 3's alternative name?

Like it's a weird thing though. The first movie for Cap was titled 'The first avengers' the second 'The winter soldier' and the third 'Civil war' Similarly for Thor, it was just Thor, Thor: TDW and Thor- Ragnarok. Peter too had like Spiderman: Homecoming, Spiderman: Far from home and now, No Way Home But all the three Iron Man movies had been named as Iron Man, Iron Man 2 and Iron Man 3. Same was in the case of GOTG, it was like vol.1, 2 and 3. So, what do you think would have been the alternative names for Iron man 2 and 3 Like, I feel it could be Iron Man 2- Whiplash's revenge Iron Man 3- The Mandarin OR Iron Man 3- Formidable Foe OR maybe Iron Man 3- Extremis Any other cool names folks? submitted by /u/A_Reasonable_Zombie [link] [comments]

Guardians of the Galaxy BIG EASTER EGG: one thing changes everything

PART 1: an intro to chaos I am going to present to you in 6 parts (part 2 and 3 already released) what I think is James Gunn BIG easter egg. The one he has teased us with since 2014. The one that he doesn’t want to be found. The one he will confirm when it’s right. It’s obviously an elusive easter egg that is easily missed, unlikely to be stumbled upon, on itself meaningless, even if found. And even though some have been close , it was partially discovered , they haven’t actually found it unless they open their eye. I am going to share with you a theory. I made use of many other fan contributions , and added a few key findings of my own to the mix. And while it is a capital mistake to theorise before one has all data… in this case it was the only way. Where many others have used an inductive approach, they never got the full picture or got close enough to actually find it. At the same time, their efforts did help me to collect all relevant pieces. To them: a big THANK YOU!

How does everyone think the Fantastic Four movie is going to go?

I know the Fantastic Four movie is a little ways out, but it is always interesting to see and share ideas about it! I'm really worried and frustrated about the fandom's current mindset.

It's just so disheartening. When I looked at the comments below the trailer of Stephen's 2nd movie, most of the comments weren't even about HIM. They were about cameos, Professor X, the "craziness" this movie would bring and more CAMEOS. Even fucking Wanda got more mentions in the section than the protagonist of this bloody movie. But where am I going with this? Well, you probably know by now. The fans seem less and less interested in the actual STORY of Multiverse of Madness. All the themes and emotion that will undeniably stem from it. I have no doubt Raimi, Waldron and Barlett will try their best to give us a deep and emotionally resonant picture, but do we care? No, all we want are fucking cameos. That's not to say it'd be all detrimental. It could be utilized well. But when a movie is only remembered by a crapload of fleeting appearances, that's not a good thing. So, please, anyone still interested in the actual substance of the MCU, give me

What crime is Doctor Strange answering for?

In the new trailer, we see him being taken prisoner by what is presumably the Illuminati who seek to punish him for something he did to tamper with the multiverse. Mordo even explicitly says so in the trailer as well. So my question is: do you think this is in reference to the events of Spider-Man: NWH and his aid of Peter Parker? Or is it the events of Endgame, where the universe was saved only by the Avengers travelling through and stealing powerful artifacts from multiple universes, essentially being encouraged to do so by Strange as part of his 1 : 1,000,605 plan? Maybe some other multiversal transgression entirely? I know this is essentially speculation until the film comes out… but what do you all think? submitted by /u/bensf940 [link] [comments]
