Question about the NWH rerelease

Does anyone know if the deleted scenes are all going to be at the end like with the Endgame rerelease or are they inserted chronologically where they would’ve been had they not been deleted submitted by /u/willallan05 [link] [comments]

How do you feel about how Wanda was represented?

The mcu definitely pulled on her “Wanda being a problem” arcs, which initially was fine for the story they where telling but I felt it got a bit too much with MoM Ultron replacing magneto for her fake out villain introduction like in uncanny X-men, civil war being her “whoopsie daisy I can’t control my self” moments and wandavision being a spin on the HoM main event with the fantasy land themes. That was all fine and good, but I don’t see why they felt the need to go full darker than scarlet/disassembled in MoM? Like first of all you’re taking away the spot from what should be a real dr strange vilain but anyway. It just felt flimsy and the wrong way to go about things. Like now that she’s finally a witch after 6 years of essentially having shitty jean grey powers and they immediately go with her being evil after having a 9 ep tv series overcoming her grief and trauma? Just feels like the complete opposite direction to go down. The only benefit of this I’m seeing if they’re hard

Anyone know how long the No Way Home More Fun Stuff rerelease will be in theaters?

Korg is literally a talking face for half of L&T, yet people still argue that it’s not obvious Korg is the film’s unreliable narrator.

The movie begins and ends with Korg telling the story of what we’re watching to kids, and he’s literally a talking face for half of it. If you’re taking every event in the film literally, then it’s probably going to seem stupid and the humor won’t land. Korg is a goofball character played by a goofball actor/writer/director. Parts of the story that are absurd are just embellishments by Korg. If you don’t realize it then it’s not funny, it’s stupid. submitted by /u/Subject89P13_ [link] [comments]

Jen’s Steve theory

Am I wrong that that was just fan service? The whole “Captain America was a virgin” is a theory I’ve encountered many times before. Anyone else want to see a What If Hawkeye died instead of BW?

Here's how i think it would play out: Hawkeye wins the struggle by planting a trick arrow in one of the many pockets of BW's trendy jacket, which immobilizes her temporarily and he jumps. Reeling and furious from this beatdown, she shows up to the final battle enraged. Flashbacks display of her previous battles and hardships while she watches her friends get beat down... then she summons Mjolnir instead of Cap, leading to a beautifully choreographed fight between her and Thanos. She is arguably the best fighter and also has some of the best choreography in the MCU. Thoughts? submitted by /u/glandstand [link] [comments]

Spider-Man Homecoming timeline question

I was watching Spider-Man: Homecoming again and saw the “8 years later” after the clean up from the attack on New York. Assuming it’s still 2012 when they are cleaning up the mess, and 2020 Peter is dusted, what was the initial plan of saying “8 years later”? What are some examples of Reed Richards being cold?

Keep seeing people mention comic Reed can be a bit of a dick, so the actor they land to play him must be able to capture that part of the character. The movie made $1.4 billion at the box office and it's considered to be the lowest grossing Avengers film at the box office (although it was still successful at the box office). That line from She-Hulk getting certain people butt-hurt

"I can control my anger infinitely more than you" I keep seeing people complaining about this line and that entire monologue in general. 1 - Everyone complains about that line specifically. Yet everyone leaves out the part where she goes Hulk ANYWAY, thus SHOWING us that despite what she just said, she is wrong (about the anger control specifically). Even Bruce himself makes a face "and there is it" because he also knew it. I do not understand people getting pissed and saying she's wrong when the show actually agrees with that fact by SHOWING us. "I can control my anger" *Loses control of anger and turns Hulk* 2 - And this is going to be the more controversial statement that obviously will not have any straightforward answer, (and I am a man btw) but there are two instances in the show where the character speaks about the experience of living as a woman. Probably the second/longer speech meditating with Bruce being the one that for some strange rea

Why Feige is 'right' and Iman Vellani is 'wrong' about the MCU's number

If you're not aware, the Ms. Marvel star has been open about arguing with Kevin Feige on the decision in DS:MoM to officially label the MCU as universe 616. Her argument being that there is prior canon in the comics that establishes the MCU existing in the Marvel multiverse and already having a designation of 199999. While I was firmly on her side at the time, I've switched sides and here's why. With the multiverse being revealed in Phase 4 and clearly being a big part of Phase 5 and beyond, I believe the reason that Feige is co-opting the designation typically applied to the main universe in the comics is because as more universes are exposed in the MCU, 616 as a baseline to frame others in relation to is a parallel to the comics that longtime fans will understand and appreciate. In other words, if by Secret Wars we are introduced to other universes that mirror other known comic universes (e.g., 1610, 311, 928) it will be convenient shorthand to use the same numbering as

Dr. Doom needs to be clearly portrayed as a villain in the MCU.

One of the more problematic things about Doom in the comics is that he's clearly the villain and has done all kinds of reprehensible shit, but there's a contingent of Doom stans that insist Reed Richards is the real villain. He needs to be unsympathetic and an asshole, with zero redeemable qualities. Doom Did Nothing Wrong fanboys, I don't want to hear your bad takes and misreads of the character. He literally skinned the woman that Valeria Richards is named after to make a suit of leather from her flesh. submitted by /u/Tanthiel [link] [comments]

It's just weird that the Department of Damage Control (DODC) is going after enhanced individuals. This is why I want SHIELD to come back.

In the comics, Damage Control is a clean up organization, not a police force that goes after enhanced individuals. Damage Control going after enhanced individuals is weird because there are other organizations that do the same thing. This is why SHIELD should come back and do the capturing of enhanced individuals instead of the DODC, SHIELD is also friendly to superheroes and good unregistered enhanced individuals. The DODC does not care at all. They literally went after Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel. Imagine the DODC going after every enhanced individual including the Avengers. If Marvel Studios didn't want SHIELD to come back and wanted a organization to go after enhanced individuals, Marvel Studios should have picked the ATCU because they are meant to handle enhanced individuals and it could have been a great way to reference Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the MCU but Marvel Studios decided to pick the DODC instead. submitted by /u/Ok-Stock-661 [link] [comments]

Should the MCU recast?

We’ve seen after the tragic passing of Chadwick Boseman the character of T’challa is being retired. With William Hurt passing it’s possible Thunderbolt Ross is going to be retired but is this the right route for the MCU? Now That Mutants Exist In The MCU, Could We See Janet Being Revealed As One In Quantumania?

In the Ultimate Marvel comics, Janet's Wasp powers actually come from her being born a mutant in that reality. (And she's also Asian in that reality too. Irrelevant to the post, but interesting to mention.) A lot of people speculated in Ant-Man and the Wasp's aftermath that her Quantum Realm powers could've maybe been a mutation, especially after she mentions "evolution" in reference to them. Do you guys think there's a possibility that Marvel could reveal in Quantumania that being in the Quantum Realm for 30 years activated Janet's mutant gene? Also, mutants almost always beget other mutants. There are obvious exceptions, like Mystique and Sabretooth having a human son. I hope that Kamala's mutant powers make her more canonical to the comics.

It sucks that the Inhuman show didn't do well, thus having to make Kamala a mutant instead. At the same time, I never really liked changing her powers too much. I hope they make it where she don't need the bangle to have any powers (as a mutant) and keeps her stretch abilities. Using CGI effects to hide the "bad stretch effect" was cool enough if they need to do so. Even fans of the Raimi Spider-Man hated the organic webbing, let alone my distaste in Bane in Dark Knight Rises having nothing to do with venom (at least as steroids), and those also did very well. submitted by /u/Ninjhetto [link] [comments]

The set pieces are phenomenal. Great use of color. Everything is bright and lovely. Minus the bad guys obviously. Rough idea for what if we did get a Hulk solo trilogy during the Infinity Saga

Due to complications with Universal and the Hulk film rights, we were unable to get more Hulk solo films during the Infinity Saga. Like many, I would've loved a Hulk trilogy as he has a lot of potential to explore. So this is a rough pitch for how I think a Hulk trilogy could've gone if the MCU had the full film rights during the Infinity Saga. Note that the aim is to not diverge too far from how the actual events of the Infinity Saga went. A couple additions/expansions, but the same general beats as in the actual movies. 1). The Incredible Hulk (Phase One): Introduces us to Bruce and kicks off his story of dealing with the Hulk, with the world fearing him and Bruce learning to direct the Hulk's anger. 2). Hulk: Worldbreaker (Phase Two): Set after Age of Ultron, Hulk, ashamed after Johannesburg, wants to leave Earth and winds up on Sakaar, a hostile planet ruled by the tyrannical Red King . He's forced to be a gladiator, but through his resilience, end

Hulk, She-Hulk, and Anger

Ok, so I know this is a highly controversial subject right now, but I'd like to discuss some things. This is going to revolve around the conversation between Hulk and She-Hulk (just calling her Jen after this because it's shorter). First of all, I want to point out that how well you control your anger is not the same thing as how many bad things have happened to you and the degree to which they sucked. Jen is saying that she has had many (constant) things in her life that have caused her anger and due to that, she has learned to control the anger itself. She is not saying that catcalling is equal to all the crap that the Hulk has been through. BUT, even if she was, Hulk himself, who is/was the living embodiment of rage and justice lets her say it. He doesn't argue or try to outdo her anger, and that's because he should know more than most that anger is anger. What breaks some people might not break others and you should never tell others that they aren't allowed

[SPOILERS FOR SHE-HULK] My theory as to why She-Hulk doesn't have a second personality

Sorry for spoilers in the title, couldn't find a better way to phrase it So when She-Hulk comes out of that little vault thing, Bruce is surprised to learn that she doesn't have another person in her head. She's just her, but stronger. And I think a lot of people are under the impression that this just means she's simply better than Bruce, and, to be fair, they do make a point that she's better at controlling her anger, and Bruce merged his personalities by learning to do just that. But I think there's a different reason why there are two personalities for Banner, and one for Jen. I'm sure most people in this sub know Bruce in the comics has DID. This has never really been touched on in the MCU, but I think he definitely does here, too. Here's what I think happened. As a child, Bruce was abused by his father. To cope with this, he developed a second personality full of anger and hatred, kind of like what we saw in Moon Knight. Bruce however never wa

[THEORY - No Episode 1 Spoilers] Marvel Studios will use She-Hulk's 4th-wall breaking to put a nail in the coffin in the Netflix canon debate

I don't know how nobody has come up with that, it just popped into my head yesterday while watching the first episode. We already know from the reviewers who have seen the first 4 episodes that she references how Twitter will react to a specific scene in the show and from the TV spots that she addresses the many cameos in the show and reminds viewers that this is her show. The director also said : "The writers definitely had their fingers on the pulse about what people were talking about online, and we were able to address all that because the show has that fourth wall-breaking element. The show is very meta and conscious of what's going out into the world regarding the MCU, so that's a direct reflection of the writers' involvement with the internet." This makes me feel almost certain that they will address the canon status of the Netflix series and the fan debate online. I mean it's one of the biggest and most heated arguments in our fandom and has

Tired of the simplistic, black and white takes on this subreddit.

This sub(as most on Reddit) has turned into a pretty obtuse place when it comes to constructive discourse about the new projects coming out. Valid critiques and praises seem to be far and few between. Most of the conversation here seems to be one side crying “Marvel is going woke” or “Marvel is just virtue signaling now”, etc., while the other side just approaches the projects with a sense of infallibility and claims all the criticism comes from incels and “men who can’t handle a female leads”. Realistically, yes. There is a fairly small group of men who genuinely don’t want to see representation and are just ignorant people when it comes to the complex sociopolitical topics of the new Marvel content. Sam became Captain America more than a year ago and there's been zero acknowledgement of that in any Marvel projects since

Steve is such a huge figure that he's the subject of a musical in Hawkeye, his virginity is the subject of discussion in She-Hulk, he's namedropped in Eternals, he's heavily featured in AvengersCon and then there's Spider-Man No Way Home with that line about not putting Captain America's shield with Statue of Liberty. Yeah, because the shield belong to Sam, who happen to be Captain America now? Given how they keep bringing up Steve 3 years after he left the mcu, isn't weird that Sam being the new Cap is completely ignored? Are they waiting until Cap 4 comes out in 2 years to finally promote him? I don't even remember seeing him in the Marvel intros unlike Mighty Thor, Ms.Marvel and Moon Knight. Rumors say that the F4 will acquire the powers in the Quantum realm. Could it have been a team of Hank Pym enlisted in the 80s to save Janet, then reported missing and covered up (like the first crew in Futurama)?

People complaining that phase 4 isn’t connected enough but who said all these movies are In the same universe?

I believe that the Eternals especially doesn’t take place in our original 616. I also think Moonknight is separate as well. I think what is going to make secret wars so interesting is it’s going to bring all these characters together we’ve been following. This way we have an invested interest in each universe succeeding and it’s going to destroy us. Edit: I can’t believe how mad some of you are. Maybe don’t click on a thread marked “theory” if it enrages you so much to hear theories? submitted by /u/dboyer87 [link] [comments]

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Reviews Megathread

Thanks the r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers for putting the initial post together. I have added some extra reviews here. Rotten Tomatoes : 88% positive reviews from 141 total reviews (7.30 avg. rating) Metacritic : 67 from 22 reviews (15 positive, 6 mixed, 1 negative) IGN (8/10): She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is here to remind you that more superhero shows should be in sitcom format. Variety : ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’ Gives Tatiana Maslany a Deserving, Yet Dated Comedic Showcase Collider (A): Tatiana Maslany leads a charming, funny, and thoughtful Marvel series Hollywood Reporter : Disney+’s new Marvel series leans into silliness, for better and worse Deadline : Building off some of the strengths of the often unappreciated Ms. Marvel, the final TV offering of the MCU Phase 4 is a skillful swan song that is deservingly intended to fly further afield. In that, She-Hulk: Attorney At Law invokes the famed quip by the Queen of the Algonquin Round Table: “You don’t have to give me streng

My idea for a new Man-Thing movie

It's high time Marvel breathed some new life into their Man-Thing property. And they should make it a horror anthology film with the Man-Thing serving as a host/observer to various Tales From the Crypt style movies. submitted by /u/Rhsinbad [link] [comments]

Iron Heart

So without giving away too much info and spoiling, there’s talks that the big bad in the show has been seen before and is a huge character in marvel just in general submitted by /u/BuilderLongjumping [link] [comments]

There's a lot of talk about what the MCU should do less. But what would you like to see more of?

Instead of focusing on what there should be less of in the MCU (humour to the point of derailing the story) like most people are discussing, let's turn this conversation around: What do you want to see? My favourite scenes in superhero movies are always the "show of strength" moments. The kind that makes you go daaamn . Not surprisingly, IMO the best MCU movie ever is Infinity War: Thor arriving in Wakanda and straight leveling the field, Thanos kicking Hulk's ass bare-handed, again Thanos throwing a god damn planet at Tony, Dr Strange using his full scope of powers, etc. I'd love too see more of that going forward. Scarlet Witch in MoM was awesome in this regard. submitted by /u/thatdani [link] [comments]

Guardians of the galaxy

I love the guardians of the galaxy movies, but I kind of wish they went with Peter being Spartox and had his element guns. Dose anyone else feel this way ? submitted by /u/hourglass_56 [link] [comments]

Why don’t you just… like… pay attention during the movie instead of asking Reddit for the answers?

The vast majority of the posts I see on here are people asking questions that are explicitly answered in the movie itself. Not a behind the scenes clip. Not in the commentary. Not on the directors Twitter. Not in a novelization. In the movie. submitted by /u/thebelladonga [link] [comments]

People who hate on The Incredible Hulk (2008) don’t have a full grasp on Hulk’s character.

It has the most believable love interest throughout the MCU. Betty loves him and basically chases him once she knows he’s still alive. His constant chasing and targeting made him choose underpaid jobs in foreign countries. He’s constantly seeking out “stretchy pants” while learning new languages. He’s a poor Avenger. He’s counting his days since his last incident. He endures bullying and potential love interests during his time in South America. Lest we forget his trainer’s insane use of the diaphragm to control his emotions. Then he comes back and Betty won’t let him leave because of how much she loves him. Even after she was hospitalized. This is a story that needs some serious pick-me-up in phase 5. submitted by /u/SirFrancisTake [link] [comments]

Do you think we will see Mr. Sinister in Deadpool 3 and/or Secret Wars?

From Jon Hickman's 'Secret Wars' I mean, the X-Men and Deadpool movies were building towards the character and he did have a minor role in the 2015 Secret Wars. submitted by /u/HandBanana666 [link] [comments]
