Hulk, She-Hulk, and Anger

Ok, so I know this is a highly controversial subject right now, but I'd like to discuss some things. This is going to revolve around the conversation between Hulk and She-Hulk (just calling her Jen after this because it's shorter).

First of all, I want to point out that how well you control your anger is not the same thing as how many bad things have happened to you and the degree to which they sucked. Jen is saying that she has had many (constant) things in her life that have caused her anger and due to that, she has learned to control the anger itself. She is not saying that catcalling is equal to all the crap that the Hulk has been through.

BUT, even if she was, Hulk himself, who is/was the living embodiment of rage and justice lets her say it. He doesn't argue or try to outdo her anger, and that's because he should know more than most that anger is anger. What breaks some people might not break others and you should never tell others that they aren't allowed to feel anger because you wouldn't or have been through worse.

Second, Jen just got her powers. Hulk himself said they need to figure out her triggers. This was, of course, based on his own experiences, and as we should know, mental health is not a universal science. As stated above, different things affect people differently, and everyone deals with them differently. But, the point is, we don't KNOW that she just immediately has everything under perfect control. And that's what the Hulk is trying to find out too. That's why he keeps poking at her to see if she'll snap, but Jen knows and trusts Hulk. She's not afraid of him, so of course she's not going to completely snap at him like she snapped at the dudes from the bar.

TL;DR: Anger is controlled through practice. It's not always proportionate to the events that cause it. Everyone is allowed to feel anger, even over "little" stuff and it's not invalidated because you went through something worse. Hulk knows this. Jen just got her powers and was tested by someone she knows and trusts. We won't know if she has her powers under control until she feels genuinely afraid and threatened like she did by the dudes at the bar.
