Thor 5 pitch(featuring Kang)
I posted my pitch for a Thor 5 movie featuring the Eternals yesterday but this is my original and preferred idea for a Thor 5 movie if we are moving forward with Kang.
Title: The Unworthy Thor
Act 1: Since Love & Thunder, Thor has been focused on being a better god and protecting all the realms with Love by his side. After a very tough fight on one of the realms, Thor decides it is no longer safe for Love to do this with him and they go to Earth where Love will join America Chavez at the Kamar Taj(set up for Young Avengers). Out of nowhere, Hercules attacks and severs Thor’s arm before he can call Mjolnir. Hercules overwhelms them and is about to kill Love before America Chavez opens a portal to another universe to push him into. Thor throws Mjolnir to separate Hercules from Love then flies in tackling Hercules through the portal, saving Love and leaving the two of them stranded.
Act 2: Thor and Hercules arrive in a new universe where Earth has been conquered by Asgard and is now only known as Midgard. They encounter variants of Thor's old friends and family which makes for a weird but emotional reunion. In this universe, Thor’s variant died at the hands of 1 of Midgards hero’s prompting the Asgardians (Led by Loki variant) to invade Midgard. Hercules is imprisoned for his attack on Thor and we get some exposition about this alternate reality. At this point, another Earth appears in the sky. It’s an incursion. They are immediately attacked by Kang's forces, with the Asgardians defending against the onslaught until Kang himself arrives. In the chaos, Hercules escapes, setting the stage for further exploration and confrontation.
Midpoint: Intrigued by the Asgardian-ruled Earth, Kang stops the fighting and provides an exposition dump, explaining the concept of incursions and his mission to save his universe by destroying alternate Earths. We learn that in his universe Ragnarok already happened so this is his first time meeting Asgardians. He manipulates the situation, gaining the trust of Thor and the others by asking for help to find a new solution to stop the incursions. However, Kang's true intentions are revealed when he captures them, revealing his plan to conquer Asgard and make it his new Chronopolis after he destroys Midgard to end the threat of incursions.
Act 3: As Kang carries out his plan to conquer Asgard, Hercules frees Thor and the Asgardians from their cells on Midgard. They then proceed to Asgard, leading to an epic battle to defeat Kang. Meanwhile, the two Earths draw closer to collision, heightening the tension and urgency. With time running out, Thor, Hercules, and the Asgardians thwart Kang's attempts to detonate the bombs on Midgard and Thor picks up the detonator. Loki and Hercules tell him to destroy it and Kang says “You fool, you will doom us all”. Thor looks out to Midgard and sees the two worlds about to collide. Realising they are out of time and have no other choice, Thor looks at Loki and says “I’m sorry brother” before making the devastating decision to sacrifice Midgard. Everyone is in shock and Thor is forced to his knees, no longer able to wield Mjolnir. He is once again, Unworthy.
Post Credit: We cut to the Earth that Kang had conquered which now has a new ruler. Either Superior Ironman or Ultron.
