With the news of Marvel Studios will begin to hear pitches for their “X-MEN” movie (Deadline), what type of script do you want for the movie?
With Deadpool 3 (hopefully) releasing next year, it will be the celebration of 20th Century Fox, assuming many of their heroes returning. I’m not entirely sure what’s the main plot about, but hopefully they keep the news secure. With Hugh Jackman returning as Wolverine, it may be one of his few returns as he regretted leaving the character after the success of Deadpool. He took his chance and looks happy that he got to don the yellow spandex, hopefully creating iconic suits for the iconic characters. Anyways, what type of story/narrative are you looking for? With a large cinematic, Marvel Universe, it wouldn’t make sense to create an already established X-Men, where we don’t get to see the characters developing their arcs and powers. As for the characters’ ages, I would think it’s best for the main characters (students) around Spider-Man’s age group (even though Tom Holland is 27), such as Scott Summers and Jean Gray. Even though we saw Fox’s take on them, it wasn’t the best take and Feige has the opportunity to make it better, even though he’s not a fan of repeating stories/events. Maybe even have them as TAs (teachers’ assistants) in subjects. For Professor X and Hank McCoy, I would think that it’s best to have them mid-30s to late-40s. I would also like to see Wolverine, portrayed by Scott Eastwood, but I highly doubt that he’s the future Wolverine Marvel Studios has in mind. For the villains, the Sentinels wouldn’t make sense to have them in the first movie as the X-Men have to pose as a threat, which would lead to the creation of the Sentinels. “X-Men: Days of Future Past” was a great movie with Trask’s murder proving his point, which was to save humanity from mutants. His death made President Nixon authorize Trask’s Sentinel Program, which was the start of the mutants’ extinction. It wouldn’t sound well for having to recreate the Phoenix storyline, since it happened twice. I doubt that Magneto will become the villain. Maybe it would be nice to have Bryan Cranston as Mr. Sinister, as he wanted to play him, but I highly doubt that offer is going to be accepted; I read that he wants to retire from acting. Although the offer still stands for many other great actors, maybe Javier Bardem. Would love to hear what you have in mind. [link] [comments] |
