Why did Loki change so quickly from Avengers (2021) to the Loki series?

Love the show, but it always seemed so odd that Loki, being taken from the heights of his evilness, with his evil quotes, evil mannerisms, evil stares, evil actions, suddenly became so similar to the Loki we knew up to Infinity War once he arrived at the TVA.

Is there something I'm missing, or did they need to rush character development through for the series to work?

Bitter thoughts after Loki ending

Alright so I just finished Loki and I just…ugh idk. Yall im so sad I get that he gets his throne and he helps everyone. But I just wanted him to have friends and be happy. I know it’s unrealistic but I just wanted him to have friends and be happy. I think it sucks that he wont get that maybe that’s just me because sometimes I feel like Loki in the aspect of being looked down on.
