Multiverse Explanation
We need a new show that just dumps exposition and explanations for everything, because I feel like this is just a little too confusing. But I decided to try and take a stab at defining the rules, so please let me know if you see anything that is incorrect with my understanding:
There was a multiversal war between Kang variants and He Who Remains. Each Kang from different universes were fighting for their own universe. Using Alioth, HWR managed to neuter the multiverse into the Sacred Timeline.
As far as I understand it, the Sacred Timeline is a collection of similar timelines that the entire multiverse branches off from. However, they’ve been modified and monitored by HWR and the TVA to enforce a very strict start, middle and end for everything.
After Sylvie killed HWR, the multiverse just boomed into existence. Every branch and possibility is another, different reality that all coexists.
Since Kangs are all back, they’re probably currently fighting and causing Incursions like last time.
Now, the multiverse is just at war although we don’t know too much about that yet.
