One problem about the MCU is I never get the feeling of watching an "epic"

This isn't an attack on the MCU because I love it alot, but one thing that has always bothered me

They don't feel epic, even the ones with huge scales like Infinity War and Endgame, i don't get that same feeling of Epicness or that I'm witnessing an epic journey, it's hard to explain.

Compared to something like LOTR or heck, even a film I am mixed on like Avatar where it feels like you really are on an epic adventure. Again it's hard for me to explain why.

Bitter thoughts after Loki ending

Alright so I just finished Loki and I just…ugh idk. Yall im so sad I get that he gets his throne and he helps everyone. But I just wanted him to have friends and be happy. The first 2 avengers movies feel pretty different compared to a lot of the mcu

I was rewatching avengers 2012 and realized how different it feels to the rest of the mcu. It feels more comic booky and a little campy somehow? That's kind of what I really like about it though and really just find it interesting. Avengers age of ultron also has this more comic booky vibe to it. Any thoughts on this?
