Namor was completely justified in all of his actions in Black Panther 2
So i see alot of people saying namor overreacted with everything but lemme layout everything that happened the way i see it in chronological order and also explain why i think all of his actions were reasonable and justified or at the least understandable
-
Event 1. Many of Namor’s people die due to diseases brought by colonizers and because of said disease they resort to taking the vibranium herb and they move to the sea. When Namor comes to see what has happened on the surface world he sees how the colonizers are now enslaving others and also enslaving people who wouldve been the same race as him This causes Namor to have zero empathy for the surface people which is also completely justified and explains why he doesnt help the surface world in any of the avenger level threats. I would also like to add that if he were to help out it would expose Talokan and his people and seeing as protecting his people is his top priority saving some people in New York or wherever else isn’t worth it Plus even if he did want to help all of the avenger level threats in the world only took place over the course or maybe a week give or take so if he is almost completely disconnected from the surface world how would he know about the threats in time to even help.

Event 2. Wakanda chooses to expose vibranium to the world which unknowingly to them, causes the potential discovery and exposing of Talokan and Namor’s people due to the greed of other countries. Now Namor decides to defend his people by destroying the ship and the vibranium detector which some people may interpret as drastic measures due to all the people he kills in the process but from his prespective these are the same kind of people as the colonizers who used to enslave his people and if he has been kept up to date with atleast some news about the world which we can assume he has, he would know how greedy, corrupt and evil other countries like the USA have the ability of being
-
Event 3. He tells shuri and the queen (im spacing on her name) to bring the inventor of the vibrainium detector to him so he can kill her because he doesnt want the risk of someone who has the knowledge to potentially find and expose talokan to be existent and while some may think this is a drastic measure even tho riri williams is young, in Namor’s eyes it’s the price of one young girl vs the potential destruction of talokan and the death of many of its people and even tho he has the opportunity to kill riri on the bridge he decides to put it off in favor of trying to resolve it diplomatically with shuri and to talk about both view points and show her the beauty of talokan to try to convince her so he doesnt do something that puts their potential alliance in jeopardy plus shuri came to talokan WILLINGLY she chose to go to talokan.
-
Event 4. The Queen tricks Namor and sends a spy to talokan to retrieve shuri and riri which causes the death of one of his people which is easily perceived as an act of war seeing as he showed shuri talokan and welcomed her and gave her a gift only for her to leave with riri without saying a word and leaving the death of one of his people in her wake and while it is clear to us that shuri wanted to save the person. it isnt to Namor and to him all he sees is that shuri left with the location of talokan and stabbed him in the back with the queen also deceiving him after he welcomed her so graciously after he was also so willing to hear her out and while they were still in the middle of diplomatic negotiations
-
Event 5. After wakanda’s act of war he attacks wakanda and kills the queen and causes alot of destruction but even after this he gives wakanda 7 days to reconsider and negotiate peace once more because he doesnt want war
-
Event 6. Wakanda retaliates and Namor is about to die but Shuri spares him as an act of peace and alliance but if Namor was really as spiteful and unreasonable as some say he wouldve let Shuri kill him which would cause Talokan to completely and utterly destroy Wakanda and kill all of its people seeing as even without him only a few of his people defeated wakanda’s strongest and had them backed in a corner even with ironheart So while u dont have to like him or his actions or even agree with me, the way i see it all of his actions were very understandable and not unreasonable or without good reason
Edit: yeah justified was the wrong word i meant understandable and that from his perspective it could have seemed justified
