The reason behind Miss Marvel’s poor ratings
The show is obviously geared for a younger audience, probably age 7-9. However, it’s in the MCU and makes constant references to Endgame, Captain Marvel, etc. Because of these references, anyone who watches the show should ideally be caught up with the rest of the MCU. But in order it be caught up with the MCU, you need to be comfortable watching PG-13 movies, which is usually restricted to at least ages 12-13. Obviously, the core audience of the show is not actually 7-9 year olds, but teenagers and adults, which is the demographic for every other Marvel show. Because no teenager or adult is interested in the childish and cringy dialogue, characters, and jokes, in the show, it’s received the lowest ratings out of any Marvel show to date.
