After ep.5, what do you think? why did he not do more?

I'm talking about the Marc's father. Idk why he didn't stop his mother for abusing him. Ik I'm sorry, like I'd assume that he would pull her back asap after he sees her abusing their son. But tbh, wouldn't it be better for Marc to send him somewhere else where he could be happy? And keep his wife alone somewhere seperate? They seemed pretty middle class. Like a divorce type situation better the son and the mother?

Alright so I just finished Loki and I just…ugh idk. Yall im so sad I get that he gets his throne and he helps everyone. But I just wanted him to have friends and be happy.
